I can't create a new folder. I don't know why. I click on new folder and nothing happens not either new folder appears in the menu when I right click. Someone knows how to fix this?

For some reason, I am unable to create a new folder on one of my readers. When I click on new folder, nothing happens and if I right click in a box empty when the menu appears, new folder, I don't have the option of the new folder. I have no idea how to solve this problem. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thank you.
