I can't do the command 'Open with' right click - in windows 7.

It applies to all files, whenever I want to 'open with' a program there is a line that stood saying
"This file doesn't have a program associated with it for performing this action. "Please install a program or... -" and so on
This applies to all of the files from my laptop every time I tried a file "open with." Is it possible to fix it? I really want to look at the issue, because these things make me really frustrated.

  • How can I keep the gate open with each image

    I have to go to display/options and uncheck the box for each open image.  It started all of a sudden, as if I had accidentally hit a hot key to turn it on or something.  (Ctrl-H) sets and destroyed, but there are no when I reopen it PS5.  In addition, the grid looks more like a screen on my image.

    If you click CTRL + ' (apostrophe key) on a PC or the command - ' (apostrophe key) on a Mac, this should make the grid off. You should do it with Photoshop open then close Photoshop and reopen. This will prevent the grid to appear on all of your images.

    Can someone tell me how to get PSE 8.0 to appear in the list of programs available (using Vista) when right-clicking on a photo? All versions of my previous PES (6.0, 7.0) appeared in the list. While Photoshop first elements is there, because I installed PSE 8.0 and uninstalled 7.0 PSE, I can't do a right-click on a photo and open it in PSE 8.0. I tried to reset the default programs and add to the list, but it simply does not appear. I don't know if something about installing glitched, although the program works fine - except that I can't open a picture in it without going into the program and then will OPEN, which is tedious. I've never had this problem before and much is different in PSE 8.0, so I don't know if its me, my computer, or something in the program?

    Any ideas? I've tried everything I can think of, including trying ot make the default program, but it won't do it either.

    There is a problem with your installation of OS X. The easiest way, but not the fastest way to fix it is to reinstall the operating system. Unless you are in a hurry or have measured access to the network, it is what I suggest, especially since I don't know if there are any problems with the installation. Please backup all data before reinstalling. You won't need the backup unless something is wrong.

    The below, advanced shortcut if it works, can save you some downtime (and the cost of a download of several gigabyte, if necessary.)

    3. start in recovery mode. Select a language, if you are prompted. The OS X Utilities appears. One of the options is to install OS X. This is not what you do.

    There is one thing that I know that you need to check that COULD be your problem.  Open Control Panel (in Classic view) and click Folder Options (or, in Control Panel, click on appearance and personalization and then Folder Options).

    Open the view tab and make sure that "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is NOT checked.

    It would be good to hear from you as to whether that was the problem!

    We mainly work in Tiff format for everything, images high resolution ("photographs") of large Photoshop files and so on.

    Our workflow for years has been to open a TIFF with Acrobat to get the best available printer options. Since the update of DC (this is when I noticed that my PC in the studio was the first to upgrade to the DC version) I can longer open TIFF without Acrobat to automatically run a series of "Optimizations" as a result of terrible quality and unusable images. I searched around for any kind of file properties specific management and in the forum for what options whatsoever in this respect and found nothing. The single forum thread about this issue had to do with the file combining and questions later 'optimize' which does not apply to this question.

    I'm not optimize or want to reduce the quality of my images somehow, I want to only open with Acrobat in full resolution, as it had always done in order to maximize our printing options.

    Is this a bug?

    If not, where can I tell Acrobat to let my only Tiffs?

    I am not suggestions looking to use JPEG files or other formats that our library is huge and continually file conversion is not a viable option. As it is the rest of the studio cannot update to Acrobat DC.

    Thanks for the report. We are sorry that you are facing this problem.

    Here is a workaround for the same thing.

    For the DC version, please perform the following steps to solve your problem:

    1. Launch Acrobat Pro DC.
    2. Go to "create a PDF file" from the "Tools" menu or the right pane.
    3. Select "single file" and then click on "Select a file".
    4. Access any file "TIFF" with which you are confronted with the question. Select and click "Open" in the dialog box.
    5. You should be able to see the thumbnail of the file correctly.
    6. Under the tile, you should see a small gear with the title "Advanced settings" icon Click on it.
    7. In the "Adobe PDF settings" dialog, uncheck the "Scan Optimization" and click OK.
    8. Close the application "create a PDF file" and start working again with your TIFF files.

    Result: No "optimizations" run TIFF files.

    What you see (and copy) is just the screen preview, not the actual image data.

    I don't know if anyone can help me with this, but I'll ask anyway. When I right click on a PDF file and go to 'open with' Illustrator CS5.1 isn't here... quite normal on a new installation.
