  You need not remove the music in your library. Just delete the download. You will now see download icon. You can now select make available offline and the new version will be downloaded.

What version of Vista are you using?  You already have another version of iTunes installed?  Are you sure that you have the right download for your version of Vista?  Can not download you or can not install you?  How are you trying to download?

  During the installation, right-click on the installation icon and click on run as administrator - sometimes it helps.

  Thanks for your help.  Unfortunately no idea worked.  Windows Installer 4.5 is not good for Windows 7.  However, I was able to restore my computer to an earlier date and the previous itunes was there.  It still would not allow me to access without security clearance, but I finally understood how to afford access - I am the administrator and the only user - go figure!

  As restart the print spooler does not solve the problem, please reinstall the printer and then check if that helps.
