Use another browser.

You try to view in the browser or that you get the same reaction if you right click and save the PDF file and open it directly.  If the work of the latter, uninstall your pdf reader, restart and reinstall the latest version.

  • What is the way to find out which app is downloading data from the internet?

Every time I connect to internet, I see that nearly 100 MB of data is is downloaded, without my consent. I did almost all the applications that I know to ask my permission before you download.

Yet, some applications are downloading data without my consent.
I would like to know what are the applications that do.

What is the way to find out which app is downloading data from the internet?

There is background applications that automatically transfer and receive data when the computer is connected to the internet. Try if there is active apps running.

    1. click Alt + Ctrl + Del to go to start Task Manager / Applications and end unnecessary tasks.

    2. go in Control Panel / programs / uninstall a program and uninstall unwanted programs.

  • I can't download files from the internet using firefox

If I try to download a file from the internet, it's going fine until 99%. After that, it does not...

It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupt downloaded files or otherwise interferes with the download of files.

Try disabling analysis in real time (live) files in your software anti-virus temporarily to see if that makes working download.

I bought a Satellite A100-756 just before Christmas and it has been running XP Pro SP2 absolutely fine without any problem.

I've upgraded to Vista Ultimate this weekend and I can't download files to PC from the Internet using ANY web browser I installed.

I dropped all the security settings just in case it was the cause of the problem but still can not do.

If I click on a link to downliad an exe file, for example, the Run/save/Cancel dialog pop up, if I click on RUN it run the application, but if I click on SAVE, the browser closes right down.

The same thing happens if I'm going to transfer a system file to MySpace or one of my web servers via HTTP.

I tried IE7 +, FireFox & Opera and all do the same thing.

It's the exact even if it is a pure install or an upgrade, and the same copy of Vista works fine on all the other machines I have here (I installed to test just in case it's a Vista only bug. it's only the Toshiba that has the problem.)

  • Download directly from the Internet to the directory podcast Clip3

Is it possible toDownload directly from the Internet to the podcast Clip3 on the device directory. I have on my old Samsung mp3 player.

    Thanks in advance

Files on the Clip + can be seen under mode ID3 (such as the podcasts folder) or folder view.  They are not physically twice.

As to not see the files of clips on your computer:

When your player is connected to your computer using USB MSC (set under settings of the player), your computer only see files that had been moved to the drive when the drive is connected in MSC mode.  Similarly with regard to the MTP mode.  However, all the files appear and can be played on your player, under some USB mode setting.

A reason why some people prefer to set the USB Mode on their player to MSC or MTP: setting Auto, the Player tries to connect in MTP mode but then you will return in MSC mode if the connection of the MTP does not; as a result, you can have a mixture of MSC and MTP mode transferred the files to your drive, making some of them isn't visible on your computer without going to the other USB mode.

Because MSC mode is more universal (playing with a wide range of operating systems, including Linux and on Mac, and without the need for Windows Media Player on the computer), some people prefer MSC mode.  However, note that the DRM (digital rights management) files need MTP mode - they will not transfer enough (the DRM license will not transfer) in MSC mode.

  • Why can't I download files from the internet?

My laptop is not download internet files, be they games or files from a trusted site, or even Word documents sent to my email address. I can start the download, but it never ends, and when I discover what is downloaded, the file will be on the list, but nothing happens. I have Windows 7, and it is a new problem. I could download before... any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello

What security software you have on the laptop?

Open windows control panel, open Internet Options, click the Advanced tab, click the "Reset" button, then click apply and then click OK.  Restart the computer and see if that helped.

If it is not, on another PC, download the FirefoxInstaller, this transfer to your laptop and install it. -you still have the same problems to download using this browser?

Another option to try is the following.

Judgment of the laptop. Tap here to f8 start you toward the top access to the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select "Safe Mode with network" and press ENTER.  Let windows fully load in this mode and see if you can now access the internet and download - only choosing a site known 'safe' such as Microsoft and HP that your security software will not work in this mode.  To exit Safe Mode, just restart the laptop in the usual way and Windows does not start normally.

    Let me know the result.

    Kind regards

  • Can someone download programs from the internet by using a standard user account?

My grandchildren use my computer, & they like to download & install games on internet, but I don't want that they are able to do with my computer. I need to know if using a standard user account will stop to do that. Thanks for the help.

Yes, they can still download programs but may not be able to install them. An easy way to check is to create the account, connect to it and try it and then you will know for sure.

    I hope this helps.

What type of video you're talking about?

Video download is similar to download other files, you could open up Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge and click on the download link and download.

However, if you are referring to live (without any download link) of videos like YouTube, there are some third-party programs that gives you such a facility. You can search for them online.

    Hi ZapNap,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. you receive an error message when downloading?

    3. What is the type of internet connection you use?

4 when was the last time it was working fine?

    5. do you have security software installed on the computer?

If the problem just started I would say that you check first with the yourInternet service (ISP) provider to check if there are problems at their end, as all downloads are defective.

If there is no problem at the end of Internet service provider, then I suggest that you check if the problem persists in mode safe mode with networking.

Steps to start in safe mode with networking

Note: Do not try the step below if you use wireless or internet Dialup Connection

    (a) restart your computer if it is running.

    (b) press F8 after your computer powers initially on.

    (c) once you see the menu Advanced Boot Options, you can stop tapping.

d keys) use the up/down arrow to select your selection.

    (e) select Mode safe mode with networking and press ENTER.

    (f) you should see loading drivers and wait please.

    (g) you should then be at the Welcome screen.

    (h) logon to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.

If the problem persists in mode safe mode with networking then I would suggest that you scan the computer using the online scanner and remove all malware infections or virus from the computer, check to see if it helps.

The scan below only works on the 32-bit version of Windows

    http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

You can use the Microsoft security essentials to scan your computer

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security_essentials/

    I hope this helps!
