I can't dual boot my PC pre-installed Windows 7 with Windows XP?

I created a primary partition on my Windows 7 PC preinstalled in freeing up space. When I start my PC the Windows XP installation CD, Windows XP will in the usual configuration process by displaying the F6 option on the screen blue etc and it unloads the controllers and disks required.  However, when the installation phase starts, an error message appears: "a problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.  Continue displaying the error message "If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears the following steps - check for viruses, run Chkdsk.  It is followed by a time code error stop: 0X0000007B etc.  Please note that I checked my computer for any viruses and none have been reported.  I ran CHKDSK in guest of user privileges to administrator and windows has checked the file system had no problem.

It is important to mention that since I managed to install a copy of Windows Vista on my PC pre-installed Windows 7 without any problem.  I can now now dual boot between the two OSs.  Unfortunately, I can not install a new genuine copy of Windows XP on my PC.  I get the same old error message after configuring setup blue screen whenever I try to install Windows XP.  Now, it seems that I have to buy another PC to install XP despite the fact that I have a lot of space on the hard drive of Windows 7 preinstalled PC.  I am aware of the fact that Windows XP uses a different startup for Windows 7/Vista file, but my computer must always allow Windows XP install.

I am just totally baffled by the latter.   It is normally recommended to install Windows XP before Windows 7, but because my PC is preinstalled with Windows 7, this recommeded option has not been available to me.  I would appreciate any suggestion to this problem of people there.

Thank you

Martin

"the SATA driver will be included in the Chipset Drivers?" - Yes they are generally at least that your SATA ports are connected to a separate SATA/RAID chip.

There are two good utilities to create a "SlipStreamed" CD
(1) Autostreamer - easy to use. (Only not for the integration of the drivers)
(2) nLite - which is more complex, but you can integrate drivers
and much more. http://www.nliteos.com/nLite.html

  • How to Dual boot Windows 7 on one machine pre-installed Windows 8

Hi, my laptop came with pre-installed Windows 8, now I would also like to install Windows 7 Ultimate(Dual Boot) on the same machine, I have the DVD and the product key for windows 7. I made a partition (NTFS) on the hard drive to install windows 7, please help me in installing windows 7 and also to get an option to select the operating system to start.

When the dual-boot, it is recommended that you install the oldest, all operating system first, in this case, Windows 7. Because of the risk of destroying your installation of Windows 8 and making it no longer starts, I suggest first, back up your installation of Windows 8 and also create a system repair disc.

The best recommendation would be to install Windows 7 on a virtual machine:

  • Can I use the product key to my Home Premium pre installed windows 7 64-bit OS that are in my label of windows laptop back?

I downloaded the iso file of windows 7 Home premium 64-bit. can I use the product key to my Home Premium pre installed windows 7 64-bit OS that are in my label of windows laptop back...

Original title: the Windows 7 product key

Yes you can. To learn more:

If your computer is pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Premium, you should have a recovery if partition:

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

    ------------------------

If the recovery partition is damaged or does not, you can then use the downloaded Home Premium as an alternative.

  • Pavillion M4-1006tx: 10 Windows reset on a laptop pre-installed Windows 8

    Hello

M4-1006tx Pavilion my laptop came with pre-installed Windows 8. I have upgraded to Windows 10 last July and now I would like to reset this installation of WIndows 10. I discovered that there are 2 methods to do a reset:

    1. in the "settings" inside Windows 10 frame and choose the reset option

    2. thanks to the recovery of the system (F11).

If I choose to reset through F11, it will install Windows back 8 or 10 Windows instead? As it happens with Windows pre-installed 8.

And if I choose to reset settings of Windows 10, will it suffer no problem at reset?

    Thank you!

    Hello

To answer your questions in order:

    1. the option reset under will reinstall Windows 10 - it is impossible to say if you would run in any problems using this method, but it still does not work for everyone.

    2. the option to access the Recovery Manager via F11 at startup would normally be to reinstall the original operating system (Windows 8), but it will not work now as a upgrade to Windows 10 breaks this feature - if you want to reinstall Windows 8, you must use the recovery media (disk or flash drive) that you created when you bought first Notepad - a guide on the reinstallation of Windows 8 of the recovery media can be found on the following link.

Performing a HP System Recovery - Windows 8

    3. Fortunately, there is also an option at your disposal 3.  As long as the current installation of Windows 10 has activated Ok after upgrade from 8.1, you can simply perform a new installation of Windows 10 as stated in the guide on the following link.  Note: On the activation screen, select "I don't have a product key" - Windows will activate automatically once installation is complete.

Thanks for bearing with me, now the recovery disc creator, is anyway I can enter the first hard disk.
Or maybe some software I can download from microsoft? OOP! Sorry I ask, who cares about repair or

  • Computer with pre installed windows 7 no longer work after Windows installation 10

    Hello

A few months ago, my son ordered a computer with Windows 7 pre-installed. He installed Windows 10 such as recommended with the message 'free upgrade'. Unfortunately, now the computer does not work at all and the computer doesn't seem to have a possibility of recovery (at least we cannot find it).

In addition, the computer manufacturer does not meet one of e-mails and calls from some time. What can we do to recover his computer with Windows 7 or Windows 10 (I don't like which version of Windows)? Windows setup does not work 10 from scratch, the product key has not been accepted, probably because there is only a product key for a pre installed windows 7.

    Help, please!

    Kind regards

  • Refund license pre-installed Windows 8

Hello. I just bought a laptop 700Z7C-S02UK from Samsung. It came with pre-installed Windows 8. I don't want to use Windows 8 (not to offend anyone, but I don't really like it on my laptop). Instead, I want to buy Windows 7 Edition Home Premium and install it instead.

Can I get a refund for the Windows 8 license I paid (as part of the purchase price for the laptop)? I sent support of Samsung, but they said "it comes with Windows 8, so you can't get a refund. I find it quite annoying because I like really the laptop, just not the system of operating. It must be, I'll return the laptop for a refund, but I prefer to keep the laptop with it running Windows 7 instead of Windows 8 (and I don't don't need/want a Windows 8 license).

    Thanks in advance.

If you have Windows 8 Professional, the software license agreement confer rights to downgrade for you.

    See: http://www.microsoft.com/oem/en/licensing/sblicensing/pages/downgrade_rights.aspx#fbid=aeFS4QV0Hib

To take advantage of downgrade rights, you would be responsible for coming up with the Professional Windows 7 installation media and a product key for same.  Maybe contact Samsung to see if they can sell you their locked preinstallation (SLP) system recovery media that would work with this exact model of computer?

  • backup and the pre-installed windows product key 8 install media

    I have a new laptop with 8 pre-installed windows. I want to
    (1) create a backup DVD and by extension installation
    (2) get my product key for all MS/ASUS has seen fit to to hide.

To be quite clear, I want that it is independent of any currently installed HDD/SSD.
I want to make a DVD, take the hard drive / ssd on my laptop, put them in the tub with my toaster, install a new hard drive and be able to use this DVD to install my dang-well-bought-and-paid-for copy of windows 8.

The laptop is an ASUS S56c / k56ca if this is useful.

Well it took about two hours, but the image of disk/recovery rescue process works. Always have fun train so he can begin a live cd (independent), but it's a question for another day.
    Thanks for your help.
