I can't find my messages

I can't find my messages

If you use Outlook Express, then go to view | Layout and activate the list files.  Then click the sent items folder to view sent items and also go to view | Current view | Show all messages.  Also make sure that it is configured to log messages sent under Tools | Options | Send.  If sent messages do not go in the folder, then you can have corruption and it is best to go to file | Identities and setup a new identity and if that works very well so you can use file | Import to get the messages from the old identity.

  • I perform a search, results, find the message I was looking for. How can I find this message in my folder structure and subfolder (relatively) complex?

    Hello
I use structured system subfolder to keep my organized emails (hundreds and hundreds of folders).
When I do a search, get the list of results and in this list, I found the email I was after, HOW can I find the message? In other words, how can I open the folder that contains this particular email?
Thank you in advance for your time and effort.

Right click on a folder, search for Messages, and then click 'Search subfolders', then enter the selection criteria, search, search for a result in the lower pane, then 'open folder '. The message is opened in the Message pane and the containing folder is highlighted in the folders pane.

It isn't a global search and location does not show the full folder path, but it is another option. Note that the location column can also be displayed in the message search window.

I wanted to ask you on this forum I'm looking for my own messages after you close the web browser? It doesn't seem to be a button "my messages". The search box does not help, because it can not find my topic I have in my mailbox after a response. The answers in my mailbox do not have a link to my original post and responses.

I can't find a link that says 'My Contributions' on the Firefox Help homepage
https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/home like you said to the https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/860990#answer-229760

Where can I find a place on the help forum that says: 'My Contributions' without bookmarking site https://support.mozilla.com/questions?filter=my-contributions

If I didn't know this URL where could I find it? Please answer in simple terms of step by step. Thank you.

The 'My Contributions' option won't be available after login to the forum. 'My Contributions' will show the questions:

    • that you posted AND
    • Posted by others to whom you have sent a response
    1. Log in to the forum with your user name and password

      • Forum home page: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions
      • The ' Sign in' link is in the upper right.
      • After clicking on login you will pass to another page for your user name and password; If your user name and password are correctly typed, you will return to the list of issues
    2. On the list of issues, just above the first question, is a line with "Sort" and "view"; 'My Contributions' are in the group 'display '.
    3. To exit the 'My Contributions' choice, choose one of the other options 'display '. The description of the options is explicit.

  • How can I find the message I posted to the support online Saturday, may 3, 2014?

I posted a message using online Sunday, may 3 and have had no response and I am able to find the message.  The problem that I described in my post is about a problem I've had for more than two weeks.  I do not have access to my computer and you use Facebook to go online.

I noticed that the messages in this ' help page?  are old and probably most used?    Here is a shorter version of my message sent Sunday

Bought a WD My Passport and it was installed with the help of a WD employee.   As soon as this external USB has been installed, I had a major problem that continues.  All the icons on my desktop became inaccessible and the images on the icons changed while they were identical.  Initially, there were about 20 icons on my desk and these 4 or 5 non-windows icons are not affected by the problem and were accessible, all windows icons were.  Later, everything on my computer has been converted to this image the same and inaccessible.  Also, whenever any icon was typed a strange sound was heard and the message came: examples:

-C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\start\menu\Programs\Windows Live Mail is not a valid Win32 application

    -C:\Users\Public\Desktop\ccleaner is not a valid Win32 application

    etc.

Each message icon was the same set up... first, the name of the file, program, be it and second part is... not a valid win32 application

(My computer is set at 64 32 steps)

WD called and they did not understand the problem.  I tried to fix it myself, but was impossible to make any changes.  I sent my post on Sunday and the next day got on a kind of thing that kept tap back to see if I could get the message that I posted.  He suggested I go to http://answer.microsoft.com/en-us/ I have not found my message up to now.  My computer also took two different computer stores and none did not have this problem.

    See you soon

I think that may be the case, no worries. Thanks for your help in the expensive.

  • When I send a message to blueyonder system says the message was sent, but the recipient can't find it in emails or on the server.

I create a message and press send. The system indicates that it connection, then the message has been sent. When the recipient checks the message on its system and/or the server, it can not find the message. I sent him direct messages from my server and Outlook Express and it does not get them only when you use Thunderbird messages go missing. I have to use special settings to send messages to Blueyonder?

I suggest that contact your email provider. Similar problems have been reported of users blank.

  • I can't find the log screen or my profile and my messages

    How do the login screen?
How can I find my profile?
How can I find my messages?

    Thanks to Walter and SpiritX
My problem has been compounded by my not to use the homescreen answers in full expansion.
I couldn't see the sign in at the top right of the page. I got posting a question. Then asked me my ID and PW. This home page could be improved. There should be a search option for my posts and you should not expect the user to go through the profile. In addition, using less than full screen shouldn't lose vital data.

  • I can't find an important letter to your database to the david.ellesmere@councillors.ipswich.gov.uk you will have a record of this?

The letter came to my Inbox to eighteen months ago, I must have deleted, I can't find a copy in the trash, letter to legal content inportant. I hope you can help. P.S. I have a donation to Mozilla. Thanks Anthony

It's the Thunderbird support forum. Most of the people here is volunteers devoting their time to help others.

you will have a record of it?

I don't know exactly what you meant when asking this question.
Mozilla is not a provider of e-mail and does not keep any of your messages. If so, you will need to check with your e-mail provider, assuming that you store messages on the server in the first place.
The most likely scenario is that your messages are all on your computer. So if you can't find the message you think you deleted anyway I would say that the chances are pretty slim to retrieve.

  • How to find old messages

How can I find old messages in a Skype conversation without having to scroll for a long time?

A friend and I have been skyping for one year, including messages. I want to come back at the beginning of our messages to find out when we started talking.

I know I can just keep scrolling "forever" but heard somewhere there is a place where I buried a date or a time. So far, I have not found this option.

Someone at - he had luck with that?

Right-click on the name of your friend in the contact list, and then select view older messages -> beginning.

  • Until I found this thread, I lost 16 months in the Inbox during compacting emails, I went to the trash can and hit restore all, but I can't find them

As I close outlook wxpress yesterday, I got the prompt for compaction. It's been awhile, so I let it start and stop later the computer without checking anything. Today, when I went to check my messages, everthting from 2012 until yesterday was gone. I went in the trash and saw that he was responsible. I have selected to restore a prompt came and I hit restore all. I return wwent into my Inbox and found nothing changed. I searched the web and found this thread and read something about 'with OE not open' and stuff on .bak and .dbx, and fear that I might have screwed up. Where can I find these messages?

You need more than a single click to restore. Here's my answer "keeps" together with the instructions. The party concerned is in blue, but please read all this.

Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :
    http://www.insideoe.com/FAQs/why.htm#compact

    Recovery methods:

If you are running XP/SP3, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Note: If you have new messages in the folder you are go restore, move them to a folder first created user, or they will be lost. They can be moved once the old posts have been restored.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

DBXpress run in extract disc Mode is the best chance to recover messages:
    http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/default.aspx

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently.
