I can't find the Photos app on my macbook pro

Hello world

Have always been using iPhoto, I want first using Photos Mac app instead. But I can't seem to find it on my Macbook pro (OS X Version 10.9.5), nor do I happen to find a link to download with. Any advice?

Thank you!

You must upgrade to 10.10.5 for this...

It is important to not miss a key step.

You must click the '+ add a printer' at the top left of each page ePrintCenter.  Once you have associated your printer print/App ePrint, you will be able to view printing applications available for your printer.  If you find that a printing app you want really isn't available for your printer, click on the link 'Submit the idea' on the right side of the page and inform the developers!

    Hi Peggy,

You get pay for the license, not for downloading. You can download the same image of license history several times. To do this, go to license history > click the image > save image of office/library

    Thank you

Thank you.  I don't have the Tools tab:

But I discovered that if I select Customize it drop down and set it to the default value, then the Tools menu reappears.  He must have changed "Comment & markup" previously which does not include tools.

  • Can't see the network hpsetup on my Macbook Pro on a C4780

Help - I'm trying to get working wirelessly on a C4780 connected to a new Macbook Pro with 10.6.2.  I am on a network of wireless-G linksys with WPA_PSK and when the HP configuration utility try to connect to my network, it goes into "the network... search. "forever.  So, I tried to connect manually by some of the other posts, but I can't find the network hpsetup even after resetting to the default printer.  The serial number of the printer is CN99SD12ZF.  Is that printers with factory default SSID settings incorrect?  If so, what I try next?

Some sent C47xx factory printers have an incorrect default setting in their non-volatile memory that prevents the method of ad-hoc configuration.  There is nothing wrong with the printer HW or FW and you should still be able to set up the printer using the Setup program on the CD.

If necessary, it is a manual method to get the printer on your network.  Here's how to printers wireless C47xx:

Part 1 - Get the printer in Ad-Hoc Mode Wireless

    (1) turn on the printer.

    (2) display the printer has six keys; three on the left (top-left, middle left, below on the left) and three on the right (top-right, centre-right, bottom-right).  Press and release the following touch buttons in order:

    top left,

    bottom-left,

    top left,

    top left.

    (3) you should see the internal menu of printers.  Press the right button down to select 'Service Menu'.  Press OK (lower-left).

    4) press the lower button right until you see "Reset Menu".  Press OK (lower-left).

    5) press the lower button right until you see "half full".  Press OK (lower-left).

    (6) after a few seconds, the printer turns off.  Press the power button to turn on the printer.  It is now reset with the correct default network settings.

    (7) turn on the radio:

    • Press the Scan button to get the wireless settings
    • Select wireless Menu
    • Select wireless settings
    • Select Enable Wireless to turn on the radio.

Part 2 - run the Wireless Setup Wizard

The printer has now created an ad - hoc network called hpsetup.  To connect to this network on your Mac.

Check the connection to the printer by opening the printer's internal web page.  You can do this by opening Safari, select bookmarks and then Showall the bookmarks.  On the left pane of Safari, select Hello and on the right, you should see your printer listed.  Double-click your printer and Safari should display the printer's internal web page.

In the Web page of the printer, click Networking , and then select Wireless (802.11().  Now press Start the wizard to launch the wireless configuration wizard.

When the wizard is finished, your computer unplug the printer's ad - hoc network as the printer reconfigures itself to connect to your network home.

Reconnect your computer to your home network.  Verify that you can connect to the printer at the opening of its internal web page again once we were doing before.

Finally, install the printer SW.  Since you have Snow Leopard, you don't need the CD that came with the printer.  Instead, open the Print & Fax under System Preferences applet and press the [+] button.  Highlight your printer and click Add.

  • Problems with the photos in El Capitan-cant app drag in other applications and can not find the photos when using Word

I feel very disappointed with the new iMac (27 inch high range) I bought specifically so that I can work quickly with video editing - BUT who currently my old iMac with Snow Leopard on my desk and still use it to create documents in Word, etc, among other things. He really miss the old iPhoto - all about it. Not like the new photos app at all and I was wondering if I can install iPhoto on the new computer? We're stuck with the white background of the screen and do not like the new editing panel either - I had my screen tonic to a shade of gray that is visually not too exhausting to watch as the white. Is there a way to customize the color of the workspace I have forgotten?

I'm not also able to drag and drop photos from the app directly in other applications - this was a great feature that could work very quickly. Can't believe that Apple went backwards with this? Or am I still missed something once?

Also, now, I tried to create a new document in Word and when you open the photo browser to import an image from photos in the document, there is no pictures - all other media is accessible but no pictures, not so to drag picture on the desktop then document - once again, having Apple went backwards , or I'm going crazy?

Hoping that I do not regret this purchase very expensive!

A beautiful (and expensive) iMac. Congratulations.

The latest version of iPhoto still works in (a little hard to get 'quiet' Photos.app) ElCapitan, see a lot of discussions here.

Drag-and - déposer is depending on the applications. There is still work, as usual.

Word is updated to the latest? I heard there were a few problems, but they should be solved now.

  • Lightroom can read from the photos app

Can I load files that I have in the MAC Photos app directly in LR or what I need to export files of Photos on the desktop, then import into LR?  If the later will be finally fixed it to read directly from Photos (not iPhoto)?

Photos for OSX is quite new, so there is no detail of plug-ins available o to a later version.

If keep you your iPhoto library, you can use the plug-in integrated into LR CC, LR5 or LR6.

I have (f you versions export to office or place duplicates in files in the Finder, they will understand any changes already made. You can then import into the folder (s) using 'Add '.

  • How can I find the photos that I have dealt in 5/PS Lightroom trial software?

I imported my Lightroom 5 photos on the 30 day trial.  I post-processed about 700 photos.  To stop for the night and restarted the next day, all the photos disappeared from Lightroom.  Lightroom displays 0 in the line "all photos".  Do you know how to access all directly processed photos?  Thank you.

Probably, you opened an empty catalog.  Look under file-> recent open and open catalogs shown here, one of them will show your photos.
