I've seen this problem on another thread, but no solution was available in 2012.  Has he been found since then?  All other software on my Windows 7 PC can connect to the internet, but not parental control.  I'm just trying to set up for the first time, then maybe there is a code secret/rain dance?  Help!

    Hello Chris,

Thanks for the reply and we update on the State of the question.

I appreciate the efforts that you have taken so far trying to solve this problem. It is possible that the Webroot SecureAnywhere software could block Windows Live services.

I ask you temporarily disable the security software and check if you are able to connect to the Services Windows Live for you connect to the account of the safety of the family.

    Note:

Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Let us know the results, so that we can help you.

  • Parental controls for Mcafee randomly disable/Internet and network are not protected... click on fix that everything becomes right guard, but the problem continues

Not sure if there is an error or a breach of security on my system, but my Mcafee Cox Security Suite client will say sometimes randomly the Parental control has been disabled, and the network firewall and Internet has been disabled and must be fixed. When you click on fix, the problems will go away, but sometimes the Protection status check will reappear do later me wonder if someone attempts to access or attempt to take control of my computer in some outside way. Using Windows Defender and Mcafee Viruscan I found nothing so far, however in one file past a Nakido.exe was found and attempted to remove, it is no longer, but I seem to always be able to find traces of the file on my computer, which makes me wonder if the Trojan horse still has limited access to my computer and try to manipulate items and just has not been detected yet.

Try to contact McAfee Support for assistance. But before that try one of these:

    (1) Windows Update
    (2) try to install the latest Service Pack
    (3) ensure that your compatible version installed in Windows otherwise (ask McAfee upgrade option to the compatible version)

I initially created my daughters account on Xbox, when she was younger. I want to now that she can use the email, skydrive. She gets the following error message "your account is not ready. "It seems that your mother has finished setting up parental control for your account settings", trying to access email or people. She is able to access skydrive. I removed him from the family safety, but she is still unable to use e-mail through outlook.com or live.com.

  • Error message "unable to make changes to parental controls settings. If the problem persists, see your system administrator"when you set parental controls for a user account

Original title: user account with an effort of parental control

After logging in to my admin account, I created two user accounts for my children, set up parental controls for both that I created, when I tried to set up the third account that he would allow me to activate parental control. It seems that he is trying to load the screen to give me the parental control options then the window disappers and another small window appears saying "cannot make changes to parental controls settings. If the problem persists, see your system administrator. I close the window, and then open the parental controls for other accounts, and they work very well, allows me the chance to change. I deleted the third account several times, making sure to create on behalf of others, just like I did the first two. Still no luck. Can I have only 3 total accounts? My administrator account and standard users 2.

How can I get a standard user account third with parental controls?

    Hello

Create a new user account and check if the problem persists, the problem does not persist in the new user account, then fix the damaged user account.

Create a user account (Windows Vista)

Screw a damaged profile (Windows Vista)

  • Parental controls does not: Impossible to make changes to parental controls settings. If the problem persists, see your system administrator.

Original title: Parental control does not

Try to set up Parental controls for my son's account. I have an account manager, go to control panel / user accounts / parental control - click on windows expects to obtain two error message with the same message: "unable to make changes to parental controls settings. If the problem persists, see your system administrator. "I'm a sysadmin, so what's the problem?

On a side note, I have two children on this computer. Had to remove my son because he downloaded a virus. So before the two children had parental control. But when we were going to change their times permit, he would give this error message but weather changes would take place. Now that I am setting up a new account for him, can't get parental controls to work.

    Hello

Step 1: turn off UAC (User Account Control) and check the result

See how can I change the behavior of user account control by using the slider? :http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/How-do-I-change-the-behavior-of-User-Account-Control-by-using-the-slider

Note: You must restart your computer when you enable or disable UAC. Change levels of notification does not require that you restart your computer.

Step 2: I suggest to create a new administrator account and log later in the new administrator account, try to set parental controls and check if it works.

  • Your account is not ready - it seems that your mother has finished setting up parental control for your account settings.

Account live my son was slaughtered in that State for a few years.

We used Live parental control for a period of time (years) but I never could 'fix' his account.
Whenever he tries to use hotmail or outlook.com, it gets the error
    "Your account is not ready."
"Looks like your mother has not finished to set up parental controls for your account settings. Click "Access the parental control settings" to complete the process and access your account. »
We are now on Windows 8, which has of course the family safety features it's own... but switch off these features did not help to solve the problem.
    Please correct the account.

  • Hotmail 44 looks like your mother has not finished to set up parental controls for your account settings.

I had a few actual creation difficulty one Hotmail account for my daughter.  I'm using Windows (newer) 8.  I have created an account for it, but can't make it work.  Everytime I try to sign into his Hotmail I get the following error:

"Hotmail 44 looks like your mother has not finished to set up parental controls for your account settings.  Click "Access the parental control settings" to complete the process and access your account. »

Needless to say I went to family safety settings on our PC and the Security Web site for the family repeatedly to change the settings that might seem to apply, but it has only settings web for her, no setting of Hotmail to update me at all.  Am I missing something, or is this a problem?

I've seen one or two similar posts...

    Thank you

    • Settings for the computer of the child concerned on the site of the family safety (the page where it shows queries, e-mail notifications, etc.).
    • The list of the user accounts on your computer
I have sent you a private message for instructions. After you download it, please let know us in this thread.
    Thank you.

Okay, so I thought about it and it's ugly and not intuitive.

The REAL CAUSE of the ROOT of this error is that you CANNOT add a new kid in the Family Safety (FSS) Web site.

But as a solution, you can add a new kid on the Section of the Windows Phone website My family.

FIRST STEP remove account the offending child of family on the site of the FSS under the management of the list of the members of the family section. Once this has been completed, follow the workaround below.

    WORKAROUND

    1. Then from the sign of site Web of Windows Phone with your Microsoft Account (MSA) (parent).
    2. Hover over your name just below upper right of the search box and you will get a context box.
    3. In the context box, select My Family.
    4. In the Section My family, you will have two lists. PARENTS and CHILDREN, and especially an ADD A KID to the right of the list headers.
    5. Click on the link. Now, you will get a login screen of the MSA.
    6. Register your child or have them enter login and password. They will appear as a kid under the section of your Windows Phone my family. Even if they do not have a phone you can add.
    7. Ask them to connect in hotmail\outlook.com with their MSA will complete the configuration of security for the family.

    REAL SOLUTION

There must be a link on the site of the FSS for KID A ADD (add a child would be more enjoyable unless of course you are a family of goats) identical to that of the Windows Phone my family section. Seems like a logical place to have this option?

I hope this helps anyone else having this problem.

  • Set up parental controls for 1 child on two computers

Here's the scenario that I have and I would like some help to determine if it is possible to what I want to do.

My wife and I just bought two Surfaces, one of her and for me.  We have a son who we know that we will share our devices with.  It will probably use his more than mine.  It has a Microsoft Account because he has an Xbox Live account, thanks to our family of Xbox subscription.  I wanted to lock him on Surface machines using parental controls, but here is where I am currently.

    (1) I have set up Microsoft account my son on the Surface of my wife and indicated that it is on behalf of a child when I did.

    (2) I used my wife's account to configure all settings families on behalf of my son, such as the allocation of time, hosted the games and sites, etc..

    (3) I signed up for the family web site by using the account of my wife and could see everything.

    (4) I then created Microsoft has my son on my own Surface, also indicating that it is on behalf of a child when I did.

But now I'm stuck.  I was really hoping that the same settings we had a machine would be then on the other account, but appears not to be the case.  I don't see his machine within the parameters of the family and she can't see mine.  When I try to add him to my family, he said "this person has already been added to the parental control.  So, it is a primary, and so I am.  Here are my questions:

    (1) how can I set where I am primary and my wife is a secondary antibody (or at least a parent who may approve things)?

    (2) will be the security settings, we have set up the synchronization of one single machine with the other somehow or we must manually preserve us allowed applications, etc all in harmony between the two machines manually?

    Hi Mike,.

What I mean by my statement is that as long as the child is managed by a single parental control (for example you as the account parent principal, manipulation of the child), the settings on the Web site will be synchronized on all machines).

Regarding your second question, it would be necessary on behalf of primary parent to have a user account for both computers. It would be better if you remove parental control on both machines first configuration so the settings would be better implemented according to the configuration you prefer.

    Thank you!

  • How to set parental controls for the zone

Im trying to set up parental controls for children. I have set up for the clock, but they got smart and started to change the time zone. Does anyone know how to set up parental controls for the time zone... At least the name of the program for the time zone. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

If you have a superior taste of Windows 7 you can / must define the rights to change the time system and time zone via the policy editor gpedit.msc. They are defined in the strategy/Security Settings user rights assignments / Local. Ensure that only administrators and the Local Service can change these settings.

If you have a taste less then you need to do it via a number of commands in the console, i.e.
    net localgroup
    NTRights users - r seSystemtimePrivilege-u
    NTRights u users - r seTimezonePrivilege

You can download ntrights.exe here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=17657. If you choose this option, you may need to then more detailed instructions. Post again if this is the case.

Note also that your children are more intelligent, they will find additional methods to bypass your restrictions. If you let me sit in front of your machine then I would be able to do as I please in less than five minutes, without knowing a single password. This means that you may need to solve this problem by teaching ways rather than technical.
