  Thank you.  I'll do it and change my Windows Update settings.  BUT, FYI, in an act even more incredible, the same night I posted my question here, my computer was said upload, and I was still in place at 03:00 (when Windows is set to d/l and install updates).  I went to the kitchen for a bit and returned to my computer to find a countdown - he downloaded updates and "will re-start in 7 minutes" or so and counting down...   Well, for anyone who is having this problem I think I understood the problem. Adobe files are saved under extensions as that is just another type of .zip file. If you do not have winzip installed you can not install flash player. I now mining work. Good luck!

  Flash Player is a browser plugin and will not appear on a start - search Adobe programs.  It appears in Control Panel > Add Remove programs.
