  Hello, Monday evening, I googled Facebook Support and found this issue of phone - 1-888-275-2174, which came as a 'techgeeks. I later found out than this fraudulent foreign (probably India) fake f * telephone number simply leads to my nightmare. They stated that they were Technicians of Microsoft, and I asked for verification of this. They said look at the Microsoft Logo at the top of our Logo certifying that we are Technicians from Microsoft, therefore, I allowed them to "interconnection" with me who ultimately turned out to be a mistake. I was calling in reference to a glitch of Facebook and the number that precedes 'i' n appeared a Google search at random. Those genius hackers through my computer to the Nether World, which I had never seen before. They were like "Speedy Gunsallus" and me couldn't keep with these brilliant super Indians of the India. Then they said "your system is fixed", and said goodbye. Well, a few seconds after the attack on my computer from "Left Field", I discovered that my computer was worse; much more serious, as before, I called this misleading number. I restarted immediately and my computer would only allow me to go is Safe Mode. I have very little capability in Mode safe and I need this computer to be fully functional for my business. I googled various solutions possible, all to nothing does not.   I have Windows Vista Home Premium, and I can't go in Mode without failure.  I tried to hit F8 to each starting point that I can imagine, and it does nothing.  At the prompt, F2 goes to configuration options and F12 goes to the boot options, but I have not seen anywhere advanced startup options.

  Click the restart button to restart your computer.

  Let the computer start in Mode safe.  Hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run box, type msconfig and press ENTER.  In the System Configuration window, click the Startup tab and look to see if there is a check mark in the box to start - if there is, click the box to Remove the tick and then click on apply to save the change.  Restart the computer and see if it will boot normally.

  Method 1: Ensure that all connections on the monitor are tight.

  Method 2: Connect and disconnect a RGB cable can help them as well and that could ensure a good signal. Look at the end of the cable to see if you have all the appropriate pins.

  If your machine is blue-screening after booting from the XP installation disk, it suggests that your problem is with the hardware rather than auto-run.

  I tried to load a page which seems to have had a built-in buggy video ad, and now Firefox is stuck. It stops responding, but when I force quit and reopen it, it opens the offending page, still too and it freezes again. I tried to restart my computer and reinstall Firefox and the problem continues to be. I can't follow the advice I've seen here on open mode without failure or clear my cache, because Firefox crashes before I can do it. I there a way to make these Firefox outdoors? I use Mac OS X 10.6.8 if that matters.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

  

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  You have all the features non-essential related to the machine?
  Have you installed a new hardware or software recently?

  Try to do a repair install and see if it corrects the problem.

  Hi Hazel,

  Start in Safe Mode, open windows control panel, open programs and features and uninstall Comodo Firewall (this will probably be listed as Comodo Internet Security depending on the version).

  Once completed, restart the laptop in Safe Mode .

  As before, open all programs, open accessories, right-click on command prompt and select "run as Administrator".  In the command prompt type the following commands and press enter after each one.

  Drivers CD                (Note that there is a space between cd and drivers)

  del cumon.sys           (Note that there is a space between the led and cumon.sys)

  output

  NOTE: If you get an error after entering del cumon.sys as the "specified path cannot be fouund", it's Ok.

  Restart the computer and see if Windows starts normally.

  The computer restarts during the night to install updates. Everything was fine, but now Firefox, which has been updated to version 36, will not launch. Basically, I double click on it, I get a little access to the disk and nothing. I tried to start firefox safe mode. Same thing is happening. I uninstalled by deleting any Mozilla Firefox files, programs and relocation. Still will not start. I uninstalled the old version of AVG. Still will not start. I have Microsoft Security Essentials running and have updated. Still will not start. I need new ideas.

  I just want to confirm a step that you took. When you say you deleted the program files Firefox content, this may have taken all the Firefox of the components off of your computer.

  The steps that you must follow to remove a potentially corrupted installation of firefox are:

  Open your Start menu, select "program files." In program files, select "Programs and features", this should open your window "uninstall or change a program". In this window, locate your program "Mozilla Firefox". Select the program with a left click then "Uninstall", which will appear once the program is highlighted.

  This process will remove the registry changes that can ask questions. After you completely uninstall firefox from your programs, perform a new installation of the latest version of the browser.

  If you have already completed this process without success, so there may be other problems with your windows updates, it's not uncommon. If you have problems after a new installation of Firefox, after following the instructions above, please check if your browser "Internet Explorer" is to have the same questions, if yes, then you may have problems more serious that will require new measures.
