  In addition to the previous comments, I have link for HD is not recognized.  It is an external drive.  However, without knowing the manufacturer of your hard drive, you will need to check on this end.  You may need to format the disk first.  I hope this helps.

  Photoshop CS5 to read files from Nikon D750 to atleast Camera Raw 8.7 or higher.

  However, I believe that you would not be able to update Camera Raw, so you can download and install the DNG Converter and convert the files to DNG.

  Navigate to the folder tree in the library module. Records must indicate that they are absent. Right-click on a folder and update the location of the folder. It will also work for all subfolders.

  I followed the instructions on how to create an installer for OS X El Capitan bootable. I've set up on a USB key.

  But how do I get my computer to recognize it as a bootable disk? If I go into system under the startup disk Preferences, it is not there. If I restart the machine by pressing the Option key, it does not an option to boot from the USB key.

  What should I do to get my machine to recognize it as a bootable disk?

  The reason why I'm trying to do this is so I can disassemble the hard drive and run the disc utilities. Is there an easier way to do it?

  Well, you can always use the recovery mode: starting with the down command + R right after the chime. Hold down the keys until you see a progress bar. Take some time to connect to the Apple servers. When you see a utility window, choose disk utility to check your drive.

  I suggest you to check if temporarily uninstall the antivirus software on the computer Windows XP allows you to connect properly.

  But don't forget to install the software after troubleshooting is done such that your computer will be at risk.

  Method 2:
  You can also check the settings of firewall on the windows XP computer. You can check if the ports are opened correctly for the network to connect. See the help link - below

• How can I get Windows 7 to recognize my NAS drive as a file server?

  I just bought a new desktop computer with Windows 7 (the first time I used it at home).  I have three drives NAS; one of them is an of Maxtor Central axis.  I use the Central axis as a file server, it has Word, Excel and other Office files in addition to my music library and a handful of videos.  Whenever I try to open a document, say Word, Windows 7 does not show the Maxtor under my network.  It shows one of the other drives NAS (Iomega).  When I right click on the network, click "Open in a new window", I see the Maxtor drive. However when I click on it, Windows will open Windows Media Player.  I see only three songs, which aren't even mine; I think they were samples placed on the disk by an application.

  Other machines on my network (a computer laptop PC and Mac) continue to be able to see the of Maxtor Central axis.

  I can open my documents giving the fully qualified network path "\\Mca-054e16\Public", but it's a pain.  I can't map a drive letter for the drive; I just get the small circle who constantly.

  How can I get Windows 7 see Maxtor Central Axis like a file server and not only a media server?
