I can't get my new MacBook Air operational

Hi, I bought a new Apple MacBook Air yesterday of FNAC in Geneva, and when I got it home I couldn't go beyond the black bar. In the end, I got a white circle with a slash and a black screen. Please tell us what to do. Thank you.

  • I just bought a MAC pro. I signed in but none of my apps to my other apple devices are in section purchased from iTunes. How can I get this new macbook to access the apps I bought before I bought the macbook?

I just bought a macbook pro. I failed to access applications that have been purchased before buying the macbook. I use the same apple ID. How do you get apps already purchased?

    Hi SupaDupaTrini,

If you don't see the applications you have previously bought for download, I would first examine the history of your purchases using iTunes on your MacBook Pro software:

See your purchase history in iTunes on Mac or PC store
    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT204088

If you do not see your purchase, it can be hidden. Learn how do to hide or show items in your purchase history.

If you can't find an item that you purchased from the iTunes Store in the last 90 days, report a problem. For older purchases, contact the iTunes Store supportand some purchases, billing and redemption.

    Download your latest purchases
    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201272

Before you can access a purchase, you must do the following:

    1. To log in with the Apple ID you used for the original purchase. Use the following steps to see what Apple ID allowing you to download something.
    2. Check if the purchases you are looking for are hidden. If your purchases are hidden, you can see them not even after following the steps below. Learn how to view purchases.
    3. See if content is available for the redownload. Previously purchased may not be items not available if they are no longer on the iTunes Store. Also, make sure that you are in a country whereyou can redownload points. If you have changed your Apple ID from one country to the other, you cannot download items you purchased in a previous country.

    Take care

  • How the practice is to use iCloud for storage with a new MacBook Air documents

I currently have almost 500gig in documents on my macbookpro 2012.  Thinking of getting a new MacBook Air. For storage, I need to iCloud or a external hard drive. Don't want to carry a second piece of equipment, so I think almost any movement to the cloud. It's convenient.  Safe?

Simply store your 500 GB of documents in iCloud is a space-saving convenience and sharing between or on your Mac (s). It is not a backup strategy because Apple does not archive the user data stored in iCloud. External, 2 TB USB3 drive will fit in the Palm of your hand, weighs almost nothing and ensures that Time Machine is to backup your user data wherever you are. It is the solution that I use with my MacBook Air to 2014, even when sitting in a coffee shop (and using VPN for security). Time Machine also captures Users/yourname/Library/Mobile Documents, which is your application compatible iCloud files and documents.

As well as a Time Machine backup of this 500 GB of documents, I would like to put them on another external drive that goes on the plateau to ensure the guard. Sometimes external drives completely fail without warning, including two Time Machine disks that happened to me over the past four years.

If you choose to use another non-Apple Cloud service, read the fine print on this autonomy of providers to transfer data between international servers, and your rights under foreign laws and safety distance will always give you access to your data.

  • Not an Airprint printer can be configured with a new Macbook Air?

Recently purchased a new Macbook Air.   Can it be configured with an older printer on our WiFi network that has no Airprint?

Sure. At the end of the day, COMMAND + P (or CTRL + P in Windows) always sends this same basic command PRINT to the default printer. Any printer that is.

The only problem is the printer driver software. If the manufacturer of the printer has written a driver that works with MacBook Air, download it, install it and make your old default printer.

  • I have a new macbook air, how can I sync it to my current macbook pro?

Hi forum, I'm sure this question has been asked several times.  However, when I did a search I could not find an answer.

In any case, I have a new macbook air I bought for travel purposes.  At first, I didn't want to sync it with my macbook existing pro... now, I think it was a bad decision.  And... I can't understand how to "marry" the two.  I would like to use the macbook pro as my 'home' or ' base' machine.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thank you

    edevinco

You can sync things like photos, contacts, calendars, reminders, notes, etc. through the settings in the Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud.

If you have any documents, you do not want to be on both machines and synchronized you can do this by turning on iCloud drive in this same window of preferences and before moving the documents in iCloud drive folder. A way convenient to make this file accessible is to go in the preferences from the Finder, click on sidebar at the top of the Preferences of the Finder window and put a checkmark in front of iCloud drive in the Favorites section of this window.

Normally you would continue to use the same Apple ID. No need to get a new one just because you have a new computer.

  • Office 2008 installation fails on the new Macbook Air

I get a Setup error trying to install Office 2008 on my new MacBook Air running El Capitan.  I tried my new Super drive I bought just to do this, and I also copied the installation on my 750 GB external drive as well, but nothing works?

    Thank you very much

    Craig

You must install Office 2011, if you can find it, or get a subscription of $99 / year to 2016 from Microsoft Office. Individual applications can be downloaded freely. If you do not have a subscription, then they operate in trial mode.

  • Photosmart c4280 print gibberish of the new Macbook Air with OS X10.9

I can't get this to print.  It will show the page after page, a single line of gibberish for a simple print request.  The machine is a new macbook air with 10.9.4 IMac w/10.6 wife print wireless with no problems.  As does my son 7 windows-powered PC.  So I don't know where to turn.  I already did a reload of the pilot with the same results.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    No problem.

Since it can print on other computers, have you tried another connection on this 10.9.4 computer? I just want to see if that makes a difference. You can try to use a USB cable to check if you are receiving the same question. If you do not, then you know that something is interfering with the wireless connection. If you do not have the same issue, then you will need to contact Apple support for assistance. Click here to read: Apple Worldwide Contact.

    Good luck.

  • What do I have to pay 2 or 3 times for my new Macbook Air?

I just got a new Macbook Air 2016.  I works very well and I am very satisfied.  When my battery is at 15%, I start to think how long I have to charge for the first time charge. I know that the batteries are better than they were a few years ago.  How about a new?.  I also perform an Internet search to find an answer, but it seems that I can't find a reasonable answer.  Therefore, I posted this question and I hope you c

Just to charge once 100% will do so.

Do not load more than once because it is a new battery.

You can keep the computer in use.

Keep the computer plugged in whenever possible.

If you keep the computer always connected, make sure that at least twice a month

Run it on battery until battery charge level falls to about 40-50%.

Please don't completely discharge the battery. Discharge the battery completely will reduce wear and tear on the battery.

  • Ads pop up on the new MacBook Air. Very frustrating.

I just plug a new MacBook Air on the weekend. I used help migration to transfer my files from one to the other. I think that it might cause a problem because whenever I try to use Safari and click a link, or anywhere on a page, it opens a new tab for a page popup for a betting site or similar. This was also a problem on my old MacBook. I was told that it was just slow. I understand there are a lot of these questions, but I can't find an answer which is quite recent. How can I solve this... Very frustrating and obviously it shouldn't be a virus/malware on a new product so could come from the former? Help!

There are some ideas in a post here:

Re: Redirects to a * site

When you all are migrating a model or OS X, more

These sorts of things can follow. I did not migrate anything, but

  • Where can I get a new keyboard for my Tecra A3 in the United Kingdom?

I spilled water - heck! -a couple of days ago on my Tecra A3 and I think it is beyond fixing, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

I was not clean it regularly and I think there's probably some dust - and other foreign bodies - under the keys and I think that dust got, through the water, in the electronics connecting the keys to the white fabric - I don't know what you call it - the keyboard connecting links for the rest of the machine.

Most of the keys does not work, and some of them, they work, whey in free, add additional letters for a tap.

I removed the keyboard and left it and the machine to dry and when has not toured and dried the keyboard and surrounding parts thorougly - working delicately - cleaned using a little bit of alcohol and ear hydrophilic cotton cleaners. I also used a small air pressure producing machine to try to get rid of any dust. I think I did a job just, but it still does not.

I think I have to buy a new keyboard. Do you know where can I get a new keyboard A3 in England or a second hand keyboard that would be in perfect working order?

    Thanking you in advance,

    Conor Joyce

    Hello

New parts can be ordered from the ASP from Toshiba (certified partner) in your country. Guys could control the room is not available directly from Toshiba.

If you want to buy a second hand keyboard, I recommend you research in the internet, ebay, etc.
