• I can't connect to a specific Web site

  My PC is running w7 Pro x 64 and IE9.  I'm unable to connect to a specific Web site for which I have a valid user id (my email address) and password (for me at the time to register for the Web site). When I try to login, I get a message saying the user name or password is incorrect, a second try results in a message that says that either my username and my password is not recognized - it displays also exactly what I typed so I can see my errors. I tried to connect from my wife PC and PC friends and have had a complete success. The site says that they have thousands of registered members, as I am and have not experienced the problem that I have. I also have my PC protected by major software anti virus check and online protection against viruses and malware. and to my knowledge I don't have a virus problem more than 12 years of using a PC. I always check my incoming emails to the ISP server level and delete everything I do not feel safe on before I have to download the rest on my PC. I also only access sites deemed most is serious busdiness, media, and Government don't respect - no games, etc.

  I suspect that I have a few curruption of memory possible in the bowels of IE9, but am worried that I won't lose all my existing data, updates and the settings (as Favorites) if I remove and reinstall from the original CD IE9
