I can't hide the parent folder, when I try I get an error message

I have problem with my folders structures. All my photos are on a folder of photos on an external drive. I see the drive and the folder where are my pictures but I also see a folder called Volume and another

TSF folder a folder followed a icon slash. When I tried to hide the file get this:

An internal error has occurred.

Database "/ users/francoisarbour/pictures/Lightroom/Lightroom Catalog.lrcat": failed the UNIQUE constraint: AgLibraryFolder.rootFolder, AgLibraryFolder.pathFromRoot

Statement: UPDATE AgLibraryFolder SET rootFolder =?, pathFromRoot =? WHERE id_local =?; (error code 19)

If my case goes like this now:

folder /.

volume

external hard drive

Photo folder

Geoff,

Thanks for the tips but while I was waiting for your reply I tried something else. I've updated my file and it asks me to fusion and bingo and all felt in place.

Now, my external drive is seen by Lightroom as a drive and folder structure is perfect. I'm new to Lightroom from opening (5 years). I find a lot more complicated.

Thank you much for the help.
