  Here is some information.  I used to use Acrobat 5 (I know it's really old, but it worked fine for my needs, but it's time to upgrade).  I have a document PDF 1 page that exists (for example, an invoice).  Sometimes in Excel I create additional supporting details/calculations/etc that I have to place on the Bill.  In the past I would print my Excel document to PDF using PDF Broadgun (great tool!) - and I would like to continue to do that.  Then I'd go in Acrobat 5, open to the top of my invoice PDF 1 page document, can I use the shape tool, insert the icon and select my right to 'support' on the 1st page PDF document.  If necessary, I could resize and place anywhere on the paper invoice/PDF 1 existing page that I started with, then the resolution is great (i.e. without "grainy" appearances, etc.).

  I've now upgraded to Acrobat Pro XI (Finally, technically I'm test to ensure he'll will meet my needs - well, until I came across this).  I tried to copy the data Excel directly in my invoice PDF document, but it's often times the super object large (away from the page from left to right) and then I have to resize (significantly smaller) in order to adapt it to the page.  This causes the resizing of the text that should appear "grainy".

  So pretend that my original invoice/PDF 1 page document took the top 1/2 of the page.  Then, in Excel I create a backup that is say 5-10 lines of calculations.  How can I get the Excel save as Image in my document 1 original page (and on the 1 page)?  The only work that I found so far about is to be inserted as the last past, then to highlight the new features in Excel, cut and copy on page 1 (these seems like extra stages in my eyes, but it does not work).

  I also want to avoid using the screen snip-it, snagit and several other tools for the following reasons:

  1. I don't want to remove the gridlines in Excel (that is, when you print from Excel, the grid lines do not print by default)

  2. I use Broadgun PDF to generate a PDF file (i.e. electronic print) and then the document/data looks exactly as I want it to look like if I had printed physically

  I don't see what the problem is with the print to PDF using the Adobe PDF printer as you did with the other tool. Open your new PDF Excel, then do the same process as before (assuming that it worked for you). Just go to tools > Interactive and add a button field (I assume that's what you did before) and place the file there. At least give it a try because I think that's what you say you used to do.

• Now, I can't drag around graphics imported into an anchored frame

  FrameMaker automatically downloaded some files this morning, and it seems to have caused me nothing but evil.

  I can't position graphics imported from screenshot by dragging them around into an anchored frame. They are always mobile by using ALT + arrow key, but when I try to drag, they're frozen.

  (1) is fixed in any way that I can uninstall the suspicious file? I'm under chassis 8.0p277. Someone else using 8 trouble after these "repairs"?

  (2) is there a setting that would make the graphics imported to freeze the way so that they cannot be moved?

  (3) if the answer to the first two questions is no, should I just upgrade to 9?

  You have rebooted your system from any downloads that happened this morning?  A real, cold start. Under Windows there are lists of system events and I think they show installed software, if it turns out that you need to get out of all that has been changed.

  So what that downloaded could use the Adobe Update Manager, but it could have been something for Acrobat or another product of Adobe.

  I certainly DON'T would upgrade to FM 9 pressures of a release, unless there is no other way to deal with the problem that you are experiencing. Too much stress, and also because the pods and the UI in FM9 are very different, they would need time important familiarization too.

  Here's how you would do. First, insert two different positioned text boxes on the slide. Then insert your image in one and the image of the arrow inside the other.

  Now select the text as your user to click to show or hide the image of the arrow. Click the DHTML menu and choose "trigger to do." After that, you will notice a strange small icon that appears on the screen, close the selected text. Click on this icon and drag it until the arrow is surrounding and pointing to the image of the arrow. When you release, you should be presented with a context menu. Choose show/hide.

  Notes:
  * You will probably want to turn off borders for the positioned text boxes.
  * It is better to make the transparent areas of the positioned text boxes inside.
  * You will probably want to apply some inline formatting so that the clickable text that shows and hides the image seems to be a link.

  Yes, you can place an object of the landscape in a portrait document and subquently command + click on the selection to make it turn so that the long edge is in portrait mode.

  If you create this content in another application or in another landscape oriented Pages document, the content can be exported to PDF and subsequently opened in preview. Here, you would a thumbnail view, and then select the single page export to PDF. You drag and drop in your page guidance document PDF portrait recipient then do rotate/scale appropriate. You can see that using view: see the layout and tab reorder will be useful (skin: None, sizing: original size).

  As a photographer of alternative process, I never took worth a lot with the calibration of monitor. However, with instruments of today are as cheap now, I see no reason not to do so.

  However, I fear that by doing so, all my, color managed pre "fix" images will appear different and 'wrong' on a properly calibrated screen.

  Is it possible to use the old monitor profile to convert my catalog of images to display as they did before the monitor is correctly calibrated?

  Hmmm, not as easy as it may seem, but it should be possible at least with flattened files. It seems to me that you could create an action to:

  1. convert the file to a smart object. This is necessary to "Pack" and to protect the original, so that the color clipped (out-of-gamut) can be found and also to minimize the degradation of many conversions.

  2 convert the former monitor of the area of original document profile. You'll want to change the RGB numbers in the original file, and the change must be equal to the difference between the old and new monitor profile. But you can't do it directly in the original color space because the figures will have a different meaning there.

  3 assign the new profile of the monitor. This will change the appearance of what it should be.

  4 convert to original document space.

  5 rasterize the smart object.

  No guarantee and I can have missed something or messed up the sequence. I would recommend save duplicates until you are convinced that it works. Then, you can run the action in a lot or use the Image Processor.

  EDITED because I don't see any way to do with multilayer files (adjustment layers are specific color space).
