I can't look at the icons when you look in the Explorer!
I'm having a problem with my windows 8 Pro. I can't display file icons in windows Explorer. It doesn't matter if it's a video, music or picture. I did the steps and it does not help:
1. start
2 computer
3 view
4. the options
5. change the folders and search options
6 view
7. always show icons, never thumbnails
The computer that doesn't work, then what other option fix is there?

There are a number of ways to do this. Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum. I could use a little clarification on your question. Can you explain the situation in a bit more detail? What I read, is that when you click the icon for your antivirus it basically does nothing (POP maybe a splash screen but then does not start). Well, you say you are doing a clean boot. This could very well be why your antivirus software does not work properly. Clean boot disable start programs. If your antivirus has need of one of the elements that has been turned off, which could cause the problem. CS4 on Mac. I have some fairly complicated selections to make and the magnetic lasso tool seems a good choice. However: How can I stop and then resume when in use? For example, I would like to zoom, start by dragging along the edge, then stop, move the image to a different area of it is in the middle of my screen, then pick up again where I left.

You can press the SPACEBAR shortcut to activate the hand tool temporarily once you are finished with the selection on a part of the image.
Then, move the image with the key space key and let it continue with the selection by using the magnetic lasso tool.
You can use the SHIFT key to add to the selection by using the magnetic lasso tool.

Once I'm on uninstall section I'm prompted to close the following applications: "Safaricloudhistory and Safarinotification" neither of which I am able to find nearby and therefore unable to continue my uninstall.

The steps in the Correct link and applies to Yosemite as well.
Launch the activity monitor of Applications > utilities.
Or Finder > go > utilities.
Once the activity monitor is running, check for Safari process and force them to leave the same.
When you click X button marked, it will encourage Quit option and force him to leave. Click the option to force out.

Not maximizing the task bar when you click on Windows Explorer

You have not created a user profile. You have created a user account.User profile folders that are created when you first login.If you delete a user account, then the user profile folder will often remain. -
When you connect USB device, explore crash in Vista
I have a slow USB device, with some of the big files on it. When I plug in and go on the drive in Explorer, the little light on the device starts flashing like crazy, and explore stops for a minute.
There is a 12 MB file there, which takes about a minute to copy.
I want to watch a 16 k file that takes seconds to copy.Is there a way to stop explore to copy all the contents of the disc on every time I look at the device?
I disabled these services in efforts to alleviate this problem; Windows Search and Superfetch, ReadyBoost.
Unfortunately, deleting the file is not an option. I'm willing to take a pretty big success in the overall performance to avoid wait a minute each time that I plug.
