I can't open new tabs
Since yesterday, 06/11/2013, I can no longer open new tabs in my browser. I've been using Firefox for almost 10 years and I've never had this problem.
Hello debbiesuerd1, you can try to reproduce this behavior when you start firefox in safe mode, once? If not, perhaps an addon intrudes here...

I can't open new tabs on the position of botton?
Hello. After the upgrade to v.7 v.5 Firefox can't open new tabs when on the bottom. In a page Web, in an area about an inch under the 'tabs' line does not work. Example: on the 'Help' of Firefox page I can't sign-in/register if I want to "contribute" and I can't use the buttons under the title "NEED HELP FOR FIREFOX?". When on the Yahoo home page none of the buttons above the "Yahoo Search bar" and the "search bar" itself works.
I tried to find someone on the Live chat since 09:00 with nothing doesn't.
The extension of the Yahoo! toolbar and the extension of Babylon have been reported because of this problem. Disable or uninstall the modules.

How can I open new tabs at the end on firefox 7?
Hello
Just went to 7. However he told me that the plugin "new tabs to end ' will not work with it. Upgrade to the most recent plugin, always tells me it won't work.
Anyway everyone knows I can get 7 to open new tabs at the end instead of adjacent to the reference tab? I would like to to level but not at the expense of losing the basic functionality.
Thank you very much
Evan
Here is a workaround without need of any add-on:
-> Open Firefox and type Subject: config in the address bar
- When you see a warning, click I'll be careful, I promise you
-> On the filter bar at the top of the topic: config page, type in browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent
- preference browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent , click Toggle -> it is now set to False
-> Close Firefox and restart Firefox
Check and tell if its working.
About new tabs at the end of 1.0, see this:
- It clearly States in the Version information section that he works with: Firefox 3.6 - 6. So that means it is not supported / compatible with Firefox 7
- To get help with this add-on, ask developers to Add on this subject.

I can't open new tabs in my browser.
If I click on the small, nothing happens. If I try the shortcut, nothing happens. But open new tabs automatically if I click on a link in a Web site.
The Ask toolbar is initially in the version of Firefox 3.6.13. Obviously something in this extension is not compatible with a Firefox security patch. Disable this extension or uninstall it.

I can't open new tabs from file - only open a new window or tab strip
For awhile, I was not able to click on a tab plus sign to open a new tab, not even by going to the file menu. I even reset Firefox to my default settings, it sets itself for a short period while today ', then back to the not not to work again! The only time that I can open a new tab is if I am on a site and I right click to open a new tab, if not to open another window, I have to go to file and open a new window, the tab no!
The Ask toolbar is originally only in versions of Firefox 3.6.13 +. Uninstall this extension.
There are a few places to check for the Ask toolbar:
- Check the control panel Windows for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
- Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

How can I open new tab at the end of the tab bar?
Recently passed Internet Explorer. One of the things I liked about IE was if I adjusted some of the parameters of tabbed browsing, whenever I open a link in a new tab, it opened at the end of the tab bar. No tab no reunification, no opening next to the active tab. Looks like a fairly simple thing, but I can't understand not just how to set up in Firefox.
Any suggestions on how to take care of this? Thank you!
You can set the pref browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent false on the topic: config page.
To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.- Use the filter at the top bar of the on: page config to more easily spot a preference.
- Preferences that have changed also show "BOLD" (user set).
- Preferences can be reset to the default value using the context menu if they are set of users
- Preferences can be changed via the context menu: Edit (string or integer) or toggle (Boolean)

I can't open new tabs by clicking on the sign more, or in a new tab file
Whereas previously it was possible to open a new tab by clicking on the "plus sign" to the right of the last open tab, or by clicking on 'file' and 'new tab', none of these options work. New tabs will open a new Web page, but a 'white' will not appear.
You are welcome

New user (new computer - no problem for 9 days) Re: tabbed browsing, the sign plus allows you to open a new tab has suddenly disappeared. Searched through all the notes help and have reloaded x 3 an add - we (extension?) for new tabs. In other words, I don't know where to look to get this feature.
Hi waukss:
Go to the view of . Toolbars | Customize and click the 'Restore Default Set' button or drag the 'New tab' icon in the window customize (if available) beside your existing tabs. It is also possible by mistake, you drag the icon "+" to another bar tools and just need to drag back where it belongs. If none of this works, go to tools | Options | Tabs and make sure that 'always show the tab bar' is enabled.
If you're really stuck, a double click of your mouse just to the right of your last visible tab [or file |] New tab (Ctrl + T)] should also open a new tab.

This procedure also helped me to remove the annoying Yahoo toolbar which was also a nuisance that I didn't.

I use Firefox 9.0.1 on a Windows 7 laptop. Since the upgrade to 9.0 and 9.0.1 Mozilla and Speed Dial open new tabs as if they have been updated, although there has been no update. Colorful tabs 8.0 does as well, but I disabled it.
It should not be a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder, unless you other other software or Firefox extension he created.
Can you post the contents of user.js if you have such a file?
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: opens showing the file
You can also try to rename prefs.js to prefs.js.old to reset all preferences, in which case there is a problem with the file as shown in the articles.
