I can't save bookmarks in the folder I want, they all go to "recent bookmarks".

I have Firefox 29.0.0.5224 favorite icon only gives me the option of bookmarking the page for that I am. For this I have to click on the 'star '. This saves a bookmark in the recently bookmarked folder.

Very nice, wonderful, but long I had my favorites into folders. Move the new bookmark to the folder I want to keep is another step.

Worse still, moving the new bookmark home creates another instance of it in the recently bookmarked folder. The removal or the other instance of the folder has recently bookmarked, it deletes the file that I moved. How can I manage my favorites?

The previous Firefox allowed me to select where would a bookmark. Bring back the previous interface, a new gets in my way.

You could not save a new bookmark directly into a new folder or existing in previous versions of Firefox without the use of an extension cord.
You still need to click on the star once to bookmark the current page, and then click the star, once to move the new bookmark to another folder and this has not changed.
Only the position of the star changed as it moved out of the location bar container.

    1. Click on the globe to start, type three letters cmd and press ENTER.
    2. Type the following commands EXACTLY as they are and press ENTER after each one:
      MD C:\Logs
      Set Log=C:\Logs\Log.txt

      the value > Log %
      Copy Journal % c:\Users\Bob 1% > Log % 2 > & 1

Print > save as PDF - use an excerpt (part of Mac OS X), so Adobe Reader should have no effect on that at all.

As for the error "file corrupted", simply uninstall the Reader app will not affect it. Follow these steps:

    Mac/HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins

Trash the files AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin

    Mac HD/Applications

    Trash the application Adobe Reader

    [user] / Library/Preferences

    Trash the com.adobe.Reader.plist file

To access the [user] / Library, hold down the 'Option' and click on 'Go' in the FInder menu.

    Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe

    Trash the drive (full record)

    Empty the trash.

Download the installer FULL here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Quit your browser, and then reinstall the drive.

Run it from the Applications folder and agree to the license agreement.

You should have no problem with Safari PDF files download.

Unfortunately, ANY PDF file that says it is damaged.... You will need their trash.

  • How Windows Explorer can be configured to browse the folder hierarchy instead of behaving like a browser?

I work with files in a folder tree.  I want to browse this folder hierarchy, just as I did in the original copy of Windows Explorer in Windows XP.  I want to use the arrow keys to navigate up and down, and when I'm in a folder and click the previous button, I want it to go up one level in the folder hierarchy, just like he used to.

Now, when I hit the 'back' button, Windows Explorer behaves as a browserand goes to the last folder that I have read.

It's so frustrating!  She interrupts my thought process and the movement of my work.  If I wanted to use a browser, I use Internet Explorer.

How Windows Explorer can be configured to browse the folder hierarchy instead of behaving like a browser?  Remember the "unwebified" of Windows XP Windows Explorer version?  This is what I want so I can get back to work effectively.

Windows Explorer 7 does not have the up button like XP, however, in the address bar you can select the folder in the hierarchy (sometimes called the trail of bread crumbs) to return.

Windows 8 added the arrow pointing upwards.

  • Can't save files to the same file name after the installation.

I have Adobe Reader 11.0.10 running on Windows 7.  I cannot save files.  I open the file, edit it and press save.  The box comes in showing the location of the file and the name.  I hit save to save it again with the same name.  I get an error message saying: "this document could not be saved. Unable to save this file name.  Please the document under a different name or in a different folder. "It then changes the file in a temporary file name.  I can hit Save As once again, and it won't let me save it as I want without problem.  She does think I save or save as in the beginning.  I am able to save the file and move, but it's such a pain.

  • Why can't you add/delete the folder libraries in office without having to edit the registry?

    • All other files in the desktop folder in Windows Explorer (such as a computer; Network; Control Panel) can be added/removed via their own check in control > customization > Change desktop icons. All except libraries. Why not?! INFURIATING!
    • I know that you can create a shortcut, but I wanted the real folder to be visible like any other - coherence/elegance please!
    • I was able to tweak the registry to display the folder libraries thanks to the estimable sevenforums http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/938-libraries-desktop-icon-add-remove.html
    • But it's a work-around - there should be a check box!

    Listen to Microsoft? Sorting!

It is not available as a tick box option in Windows 7, and you can pin Windows Explorer in the taskbar. It will launch directly to Libararies.
Its also very convenient for access to libraries.
