  Maybe your security software prevents this? What security software currently installed and have you tried to disable it temporarily?
  Given that this occurs only with your Gmail account, I'd be willing to bet that they have in place security measures to prevent reading straight out of email attachments.

  If I understand correctly, you cannot send mail because the send icon is no longer visible.  I know how important email is and I'm happy to help you!

  Very probably the send sort icon has been removed from the toolbar.  Here are the instructions on how to recover:

  1. In the Mail Viewer or in a new message, click on the toolbar, and then choose Customize toolbar. Or choose View > customize toolbar.

  2. Do one of the following:

     • Add item: drag an element from the palette to the toolbar until you see a green plus sign.

     • Remove an item: drag an item to the toolbar until you see or hear a "poof" effect

     • Rearrange items: drag an item around the toolbar until an open space to appear.

     • Change the way items appear: click on the view pop-up menu, and then choose an option.

  3. When you are ready, click done.

  I can't send emails on my E-MAIL talktalk.net account.   I get all emails without problem.  WEBmail also send and receive vouchers.  I have not had this problem before and it just started.  I contacted Talktalk, but they were not very helpful and suggested to contact Apple.   I hope I understand your question... You can not send mail, but you can receive. Is this correct? If this is the case, check the setting of the outgoing mail server. Make sure that your user name and password are there.

  Settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > your account > account > outgoing mail server - tap the name of the server next to SMTP check in the main server and make sure that your user name and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.
