How can I increase storage on a 2011 13 macbook air?

Buy a drive flash memory or if you need a storage more consider purchasing a USB hard drive. If you need a low-profile option, you can use an SD card but transfer speeds will be slower. You could get the updated DSS to level, but this will be done by a trained professional and would be quite expensive.                   -zerotwo77

  • iCloud synchronize (download) on MacBook Air

    • iCloud with 1 TB
    • MacBook Air with 128GB OS X 10.11.3
    • 140 GB used in iCloud

After still 35 GB are available in the MacBook Air, the files provided by the iMac to the cloud is not be downloaded for the MacBook Air. Name of the file appears, but in iCloud folder on the MacBook Air not downloaded the contents of the file.

on the MacBook Air created files are synchronized immediately and easily to the cloud.

How to do auto synchronization are restored.

    I'm grateful for any advice.

Try to go to iCloud.com to see if the elements are there. Which should show what computer is not syncing... On the computer sync, try to go in System Preferences/iCloud and stop synchronization. Wait a few minutes, then recheck the timing. If this does not work, try to connect outbound/inbound to iCloud.

can I connect a cinema screen to my macbook air?

Depends on what Cinema display exactly you want to connect to exactly what model year of MacBook Air... For the most part, I would say that Yes its possible. Although cannot be more specific than that without a specific model of the MacBook air year and model Cinema Display.

  • Can't connect Apple ID on the new Macbook Air - which is stuck on the login page?

    Hello

I'm pretty new to the Macbook, but not to Apple itself. Yesterday, I bought a Macbook Air and I tried to connect to Apple ID using iTunes, App Store (even downloaded the update and I tried to log in when you try to install it) and FaceTime, iMessage and each time, after entering my information correctly, it sticks on the page connect and won't let me log on. When I enter the wrong details, it signals that immediately. I tried to change my password to my account but I think that this is a system error. I also tried to create another Admin account and connection that. Nothing seems to work!

    Any suggestions?

I have exactly the same problem, except that I'm a regular MacBook. I also tried to create a new admin login.

I also tried to contact the apple support. This leads to several minutes, verify that my time zone and the region settings were set to automatic and correct, then asks me to restart the computer using safe mode. I restarted mode safe mode and still nothing worked. So now, I scheduled an appointment with the support team. It is a ridiculous experience for my first day on this computer. I am 100% positive that this is not a bad password, because I am able to use the same password on iCloud.com and some services. However I can't implement Keychain, Messages, App Store, etc.

    Someone please help!

How is it that I have * can * associate the Apple ID for my account, the macbook itself and iCloud.com (and my iPhone), but I * don't * use the SAME password to access the App Store, Messages, Keychain, etc.. What is going on?

  • Why I can't have a decent resolution of my Macbook Air with an external monitor?

    MacBook Air 13 "(early 2014)

I bought a Samsung S32E590C 32 '' nice monitor but cannot get above 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz (1080 p) using Thunderbolt to HDMI. The resolution is so low that I can't use the screen correctly. I'm afraid I won't be able to get a better resolution with my Macbook Air and will have to sell the monitor...

    Suggestions please.

    Hi sansthwaites,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with your MacBook Air and your new view. I'm sure we can help you understand what can happen.

Based on your model described, it seems that the beginning of 2014 MacBook Air should be able to produce a somewhat higher resolution for a monitor external, as shown here:

    Graphics and video Support

    • Intel HD 5000 graphics card
    • Dual display and copy video: simultaneous support for native resolution on the built-in display and up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on an external display, both at millions of colors

MacBook Air (13 inches, beginning 2014) - technical specifications

However, the max possible resolution may be limited by the type of connection, or the specific adapter you use. For example, this Mini-DisplayPort-HDMI adapter supports up to 4 K (~ 3840 x 2160) resolution:

Belkin 4 K Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter - Apple

    .. supported .While this Mini-DisplayPort-HDMI adapter only supports 1920 x 1200:

Amazon.com: AmazonBasics Mini (Thunderbolt) adapter DisplayPort to HDMI: computers & accessories

Then how you connect to an external monitor can certainly affect the maximum resolution available. In this case especially, however, I suspect that the issue is actually the screen itself, as it appears from the Samsung S32E590C screen to list a 1920 x 1080 max resolution:

Support - curved screens S32E590C | Monitors Samsung

    I hope that was helpful.

  • Can not add mail account. El Capitan, MacBook Air

    Buon Giorno.

I tried several times to add my comcast email account. I entered the account email and password... the message is "this account already exists."  Previously, I have deleted this account by the comcast tech as internet or mail worked. Now I can not add back. Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    Christina

Assuming that you were trying to add the account to aid System Preferences > accounts Internet, you will need to do is add the account using the Mail menu > Preferences... Accounts. Get all the relevant information about your Comcast of Comcast e-mail settings. The following may also help: https://www.apple.com/support/mail-settings-lookup/
