  In case you are unable to access the page:

  If Windows Update error 80072ee7 during updates, maybe you have to change or remove static IP addresses for the Windows Update service. The addresses are stored in an operating system file, called the Hosts file.

  The IP address for the Windows Update service can change each time you check for updates, but some programs Add on for Windows Add static address entries to the Hosts file. A static IP address for Windows Update prevents your computer from getting updates.

  To remove static IP addresses for the Windows Update Web site

  1. Open the computer by clicking on the button start , and then clicking computer.

  No it did not help. I spent most of the night final reading of all these debates, and none of them worked – since there is no direct public download link more. So you should stop copying and pasting these links every time.

  I managed to talk to someone on the phone, but Adobe, and he was kind enough to send me a direct download link to the latest version of Adobe Premiere, which worked very well. I think you guys should start definely do direct download links available again - which could have save losing me a day of work.

  I have 2 updates to download an install on my computer. But the problem is I have a dial-up internet access and the size of the combined file is about 264 MB. At this size, it will take several days to fully downloaded. My average download speed is slower than a snail to 2 KB/s.

  Now my current options are:
  1) download in small sections of every day. That I started to do. about 2 to 5% to 10% or slightly more.
  (2) downloadable on a flash drive using my local library computers. Then come home and install the download on my computer.
  (3) wait 2 weeks until we get the bundled package incudes cable, phone and high speed internet 5 MB download download/800 KB.

  I need 1 update to hopefully help with some problems I am with my computer. From IE7 to IE8 will solve most of these problems if all goes well!

  You will need the KB updates of security number you need to download (from your own scanning system), and you have to get the right to qualify for the operating system (Vista xxxxxxxx).
