  This morning, I was warned to upgrade of Security Essentials. I was told also to download a number of Vista and Office updates. After the upgrade and updates have been downloaded, installed, and restart the laptop, I was prompted that Windows Defender is disabled. When you try to turn it on, I got the 0x800106ab error Code and told to restart my computer. I restarted 3 times but still can't open Windows Defender to check implementation parameters.

  If so, MSE is supposed to close Windows Defender. This is because MSE has its Defender ESOS. 2 defenders is redundant.

  1.   2. Save the file on your desktop zip and extract the file:
     -Right-click on the file and select extract all...

  5. A command prompt window should open a similar message:
