If you have a Broadcom wireless card then you will need to use the wireless Broadcom for W8.1 driver
Not sure why it does not work. I don't think it matters if you run W8.1 or W8.1 Pro on your machine.
The drivers are the same.

Our pc is down a few days ago, so we reinstalled xp. The xp upgrade. Now, we show no internet connection and can not get on the net. Our Device Manager indicates a problem with the drivers being not downloaded on the network adapters. Also the modem is not recognized when I try to connect. I tried to download the fix for me on microsoft for a flash player and it did not work. Can you please help me reinstall it? Thank you

Go to your computer manufacturer's support web site and search for the Windows XP drivers for your specific model number.
If there are Windows XP drivers, then download to a folder on your hard drive and install them all, starting with the card mother/chipset drivers, LAN, Audio, USB, SATA, etc, and so on.

Windows 8 I lose the internet connection after waking from sleep mode
My wife has a new laptop from Toshiba with Windows 8. When he wakes from sleep mode, it detects all wireless signals. If it restarts the computer, it detects our own wireless, as well as all the neighbors signal. Is there a simple way to correct this trend? She dislikes having to reboot the computer whenever she wants to use it.
Very interesting what's happening on a new machine. Are you sure the original wireless network card driver has not been updated (i.e. through Windows Update or its equivalent at Toshiba?)
I guess that the wireless network card driver doesn't handle well "message sent" by the system when it changes the power state change leading to a 'dormant' device (in this case the WiFi network) on the revival of the fashion Watch (same problem with the Hibernate?).
Not knowing your model Toshiba, or wireless network card let me suggest you try the following if options exist for 1 # *:
- Go to the section of the network adapters and Device Manager. Right-click your wireless card, and select Properties. Go to the power management tab, uncheck allow the computer to turn off this device and check allow this device to wake the computer , and then save your changes
- Go to the control panel and Power Options to change the parameters of the plan (for the selected power Plan), and then select change advanced power settings / wireless adapter / power save Mode / connected and select value is A maximum Performance otherwise affect this value
* Not sure about my translation of terms/options used above - I am not in an American version
If the above does not help I'd you make investigations with Toshiba on this issue as the owner of a new machine, you're probably eligible for a level of support.
+ Feel free to bring your network card and Toshiba models - this helps in search of possible measures and troubleshooting. And it could help other people if solve you the problem sooner or later...
Hope this helps
See you soon

How can I enable the Task Manager after recovering from an attack of Win32.GEMA
Hello
I am running Windows XP SP3.
I have recently had an attack of the Win32.GEMA Trojan horse. Details of it are here: http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Threat/Encyclopedia/Entry.aspx?Name=Trojan%3AWin32%2FRansirac.G
I recovered my system using:
AVG Rescue Disk
Kaspersky Rescue Disk
BitDefender Rescue Disk
Scan of MalwareBytes
McAffee analysis
Hitman Pro Scan
Spybot scan
Eusing Registry Cleaner
CCleaner
Overkill maybe? But it worked... Up to now
Apparently, the Trojan horse disables the Task Manager and that is I'm having bad to restore.
I followed the advice in this article from Microsoft - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913623/ - but when I followed this part
To set the DisableTaskMgr registry entry to 0 for a specific user, follow these steps:
- Shut down the computer.
- Log the computer by using a user account with administrator permissions.
- Click Start, click run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
- In the left pane, click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
- In the right pane, double-click DisableTaskMgr.
- In the value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
- On the file menu, click exit.
- Restart the computer.
N ° 5 says that disable TaskMgr should appear in the right pane, but there is no entry to disable TaskMgr. All it is an icon of the small 'ab' (the default) beside it, then, REG_SZ.
Then I tried to follow this part of the article from Microsoft
To set the DisableTaskMgr registry entry to 0 for all users, follow these steps:
- Shut down the computer.
- Log the computer by using a user account with administrator permissions.
- Click Start, click run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
- In the left pane, click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem\\\
- In the right pane, double-click DisableTaskMgr.
- In the value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
- On the file menu, click exit.
- Restart the computer.
This time off TaskMgr was in the right pane - this time with a little "ohho? icon followed REG_DWORD
I tried to create a new entry for the current user by copying one for all users, but not joy.
Any suggestions?
CTRL + Alt + Del does not receive any reaction whatsoever, no Ctrl + Shift + Esc or click with the right button on the barv task and selecting the Task Manager
Thank you in anticipation
These KB articles are for a different problem when you receive these messages when you run the Task Manager...
Some malicious software is aware of the methods you're most likely to use to find and remove it (Task Manager, System Restore, command prompt, Internet, Google, etc.)
The malware does not allows you to use things like the Task Manager to find and remove, so it prevents them from becoming a process running on the system and the process will not start or the process will be completed as soon as it is launched.
The malware is happier when he let you think you need to use system restore, a repair install or reinstall your XP from scratch to fix your system when none of this is necessary.
You can fool the malware (and then fix it).
Assuming that your Windows is installed on your drive C, using Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder c:\windows\system32 and locate taskmgr.exe.
Copy the taskmgr.exe file and rename the copy something malicious software will not recognize. I like to call the copy:
c:\windows\system32\jose.exe
Double-click on jose.exe and see if the Windows Task Manager window opens now.
The problem is the malware won't let the taskmgr.exe a running process, but he does not know jose.exe as a running process in order to thwart you all (I have a feeling that he will well a day on jose.exe).
Will not 'fix' your task manager, but at least you will know whether or not the Task Manager mechanism works (taskmgr.exe still not start properly). If you try to remove some malware and the need to use the Task Manager, you can simply launch jose.exe (double-click) instead, but will be still infected your system.

Satellite L300 PSLB8A - cannot locate the WLan adapter after downgrading from Vista to XP
Model - L300 Satellite PSLB8A-01F004
Australian model
Place of residence current UKHappy new year to you all. I have a problem with the adapter wireless following a downgrade from Vista to XP Pro home. Device Manager indicates that a network adapter, which is the LAN and it does not work properly.
I have two points with one exception - Ethernet controller and Modem on Bus High Definition Audio device.
I find all the major engines of the Toshiba Australia but he lists three (I think) site possible WLAN - Atheros, RealTek, and one of the other manufacturers.
I tried all three without success but am willing to acknowledge that I can have a mistake, perhaps by installing all three drivers at the same time for example.
The indicator on the front of the box portable wireless lights on or off with the hard switch setting.
I am also unable to locate the display of all available wireless netrworks, this can be a symptom of the driver is not installed.
I tried to locate the wireless card, but it doesn't seem to be accessible through the background panels, including the Panel of RAM module.
Any ideas please?
> I have two Articles with one exception - Ethernet controller and Modem on Bus High Definition Audio device.
The Ethernet controller is the WLAN adapter.
I guess that the WLan driver is missing and so the wireless network card does not appear under network adaptersPlease check this Toshiba How TO:

and here you can find the drivers:

Wireless device does not work after downgrading from Windows 7 to Windows Vista.
Original title: wireless device does not.
recently, I got my os from windows 7 to vista, now my wireless device does not work. I checked the Device Manager and the report shows that my network controller driver is not installed and the modem on high definition audio bus device. I tried to install it, but in vain. What should I do?
If your computer manufacturer does not have Windows Vista drivers available, you're probably out of luck. Without drivers for these devices will not work.

Windows 7 Pro non-authentique after downgrade from Windows 10 Pro full.
So I've upgraded to Windows Pro 10 for a full version of Windows 7 Pro. I've stuck with 10 windows for a few days and decided to downgrade. After he was done, Windows came with a message saying that I could be a victim of "Windows 7 Pro not being authentic" or something like that. He says I have 'Build' 7601. The computer I bought came with a key, but it's a full version when I got although it came with a recovery disk. Is there a way to fix this?

Satellite A200 - BSOD after downgrading from Win Vista to XP Pro
HII
I bought a Satellite A200.
The windows vista family edition was the operating system that was installed.
Compatibility issue with a particular software that I use, I changed the vista by a XP Professional SP3.
But since then, the computer crashes and present a blue screen. I wish I had some ideas to solve this problem.Thank you
Hello
The BSOD can be caused by the problem of hardware and software problem.
In your case it seems s due to software problem. Maybe a few compatibility problems between certain parts of the softwareFirst you need to check if you are using the version of Win XP BIOS Yes this laptop needs a Win XP BIOS, which could be found on the European driver Toshiba page.
I m also interesting when the BSOD appears you installed Win XP successfully or it was not possible to install the XP because the BSOD?
If you were not able to install Win XP then I guess you don't have included SATA drivers participating in the crib on Intel Matrix Storage.
I recommend some threads here in the forum about this theme.
