  Do you remember if you wanted to do a new installation or had you partitioned your hard drive to install it in a dual boot with Vista?

  If you do not have a BONE now it sounds lik evous was the first choice that clears your current installation.

  You need to reinstall Vista from your original media to recover your system if this is the case.

  Unfortunately, if this is what you choose, you have lost all the data that was on your hard drive as well.

  You don't say how Vista has been reinstalled.

  Looking for a windows.old folder and if you find one, see if you can save your data from it.

  Try to uninstall and reinstall the sound card and check for the issue.

  I bought Lightroom 2 in 2009 for my desktop computer. At the time when the computer is running Windows Vista.  We have finally upgraded to Windows 7 this week.  The guy who installed for us is a "clean" installation, which means that he wiped the hard drive and restored the files after the new system was in place.  I was informed that I could re - install programs - like Lightroom - who was previously on the computer if I kept my serial number. But now that I went to the Adobe site I can't seem to download Lightroom, even though I have serial numbers.  I fear that it is because I bought the program nearly 5 years ago and somehow my license ended.

  Can anyone help?  I would rather not come part of the money for a new version of Lightroom.  But even if I do, can someone tell me if the program "recognize" the photos that were organized in my old library of LIghtroom and integrate them into the new Lightroom?

  I'm working on a computer, but not very savvy so forgive me if I'm missing the obvious clues.
