I changed ownership to the TrustedInstaller c: to another account and tried to stop him too late.

Operating system - Windows 7.

For cleaning neglected someone's PC, I did a huge change without having to learn first about it.

That's where I was:

-Drive C: properties,

-Security tab

-Click on the "Advanced" option, which has opened the

-Advanced window of the security settings for the OS (C :).

-Owner tab

-in the box under "current owner:" he showed the name "Trusted Installer".

There was the possibility of "' a change of ownership to:" under which she listed the person name that has computer is, what I'll call 'John Doe'. "

Quickly, I assumed this TrustedInstaller was against malware, causing some problems.  I picked the name of the person and proceeded to spend the entire C: drive content to 'John Doe' property.

I tried to stop him, hoping that the cancellation of the changes, rather than their "application" would avoid this action.  But, no luck.

I tried a restore system for two hours before point, but the owner is still listed as John Doe.

I want to go the drive C: TrustedInstaller property, as it is supposed to be.

Can someone help me?

Thank you

Evolution of the file property is rarely a good idea, unless you know exactly what you are doing. This recipe can help you to repair the damage.

  • How can I check to see if my system and components are compatible with VISTA, given that the counsel is no longer available and my office will take too many changes to make it compatible with WIN 7?

    I am running WINDOWS XP on my desktop and would like it ungrade to WINDOWS VISTA, but I don't know if all my devices are compatible with WINDOWS VISTA! I would like to upgrade my desktop computer for WIN 7, but it would take too many changes, so I'm going to update my laptop for WIN 7 and I have another laptop running WIN XP! So basically I want to have at least one of the three operating systems (XP, VISTA and WIN 7) on my different computers! WIN XP on my laptop older, WINDOWS VISTA on my desktop (currently in XP) and WINDOWS 7 on my laptop latest (running VISTA)! I just want to know how to find out if there is a way to see if all my components on my desktop are compatible with WINDOWS VISTA, but the Advisor WINDOWS VISTA is no longer available? I used the WIN 7 Advisor to check what is required for me to upgrade my desktop PC to WIN 7 but there are too many changes that need to be done! I also used the WIN 7 Advisor on my new laptop and it has only a few changes that need to be done and that is why I want to upgrade my laptop to WINDOWS 7 and my desktop for WINDOWS Vista!

  • Change the password of my Microsoft account and verification of accounts

    I'm trying to change the password of my Microsoft Account - I have received through my secondary e-mail address verification code - but it doesn't work, I tried a few times, actually 4 times. But it doesn't always they say the verification code is incorrect and I am sure that I put the Code right. Why can't I just reset or change my password. It's very simple.

    Hello Ross,

    Please provide an opportunity to help on Microsoft Community.

    Have you tried to use the mobile phone number to receive the verification code?

    I understand that it could get frustrating if you are not able to verify your account, but be assured that we are here to help.

    Ideally, the verification code that is sent to alternate Email ID works to change the password of the Microsoft Account. You can also receive the verification Code using the Mobile phone number.

    Please enter your phone number to receive the verification code, then check if you can change the password for Microsoft Account.

    Check the items to help Microsoft provided below for more information on how to receive the verification on Mobile phone code.

    Set up your computer so that it uses an automatic connection, and when you get to the login screen just enter the user name and password of the account you want to use, and you should still be able to open a session with him.  To change the automatic logon settings type control userpasswords2 in the box run from the start menu and select (put a check mark) the option "users must enter a user name and password...". ».  If you use the 'Welcome' screen, you can press Ctrl + Alt + Delete twice to get the login screen and you can then enter the user name and password.

  • my daughter has created another account and does'nt remember the password would close the account else completely off cannot figure out how to do it please help

    Please help me understand this

    You can change your password to something that you remember another administrative user account. If you had only an administrative user account and you have forgotten the password, all is not lost. You can then follow the general recommendations for implementing user accounts in Vista that I will give you at the end of this post.

    All this requires a certain level of computer skills. You know better and that take the machine to a competent local computer tech (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad place) is the best solution for you.

    If you have an installation of Vista DVD (not a recovery DVDs), you can start the system with it. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:

    NET user administrator / Active: Yes [press Enter]
    NET user [insert here the name of your user account] [insert the new password of user as 1234 here] [press Enter]

    [Note: do not enter the brackets!]

    Remove the installation DVD and restart the computer. Now, you will be able to connect to your user account by using the password that you set; for example, 1234.

    If you do not have a Vista installation DVD (only have a recovery disk), the computer mftr. may have given you the option to repair Vista (not a system recovery!) system in the diagnostic menu. This menu of diagnosis is the same one where you can choose Safe Mode. Get to this menu by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. If you do not have this option, you can make a bootable Vista file repair DVD in this link:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

    Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent as muTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD. You will need to use third-party burning software such as Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn (http://www.imgburn.com ) to burn the image .iso image file, not in the form of data.

    Once you have fixed things, log on to the additional administrative account you will be made by the suggestions below and disable the administrator account integrated yet for security reasons:

    Start Orb > Search box > type: cmd
    When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator" [OK]. Now, you will get the command prompt. At the command prompt, type:

    NET user administrator / active: No. [Enter]

    Exit the command prompt.

    General recommendations for creating users in Vista:

    You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is a multi-user system with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

    In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult.  It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but there may be more that you want to do. Better not to put you in a bad situation at first.

    The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

    If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

    Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
    Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

    Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

  • After the splash screen says "Loading Windows" and then it stops.

    I can run an analysis tool, but nothing else, after you select Safe mode or any other mode, he stops. I changed the boot order, but he does not see the disk in the drive or he's ignorant.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Is there a way to copy or clone parental control settings of an account limited for a new account?
    I'm going to set up individual accounts for my children and I find it very embarrassing repeatedly authorized programs list. It would also be useful to have the settings for synchronization if the settings for an account (if the settings have been changed) could be copied to another account.
    Any advice or pointers will be greatly appreciated!
  • Redirect on the iCloud emails to another account
    I recently moved from iPhone to Android (LG G5) phone. As Apple make it impossible to implement an e-mail on this phone iCloud account (I have given up trying now), I want to set up automatic forwarding of emails iCloud a POP account, I can then collect on my phone.
    Simple sounds. Click on the gear in the top right iCloud Mail icon and click Preferences, and then click general. Next to the transmission, check forward my e-mail to and enter an email address, like your other account.
    However, it is not a gear on my page, nor anywhere preferences icon. A set of instructions said it was on the left column, but it is not on mine.
    What I'm missing here?
    In fact, on my own and I use a Safari browser, but I don't think that matter, the gear icon is on the bottom left.  You use the Android device to connect the iCloud.com site, or you try to open a session from a computer?
