I deleted the photos/videos Photos, but still no free space
I have MacBook Pro w / Yosemite. I deleted like 50-60 GB of Photos. I went to the "recently deleted" and therefore deleted, they went from Photos, but got not only space on the hard drive. I checked IPhotos and they aren't there because I read that they are 'copied' and checked the info on iPhotos and its only 4 GB, which comes from a few photos I have here. What I have to do to see this space released?
We need details
What version of the operating system, photos and iPhoto o do you have? You empty the trash iPhoto? What is the size of your library of Photos and your iPhoto library? You have a managed library or a library referenced in each?

Set deny delete the directory for everyone, but still killed deltree!
Hello
I have a directory that contains the important code and periodically it is cleared from my machine without my knowledge! The directory is c:\build and for nmake reasons I subst e: c:\build.
The removal seems to happen around the time I periodically uninstall programs I want to use the Control Panel - programs and features. There are system restore points that correspond to the date of the directory disappears.
I mention all the foregoing in the case where the situation tweaks reminder of someone of something obscure, like the interaction of subst with uninstall. Note that programs that I chose to uninstall will interact in any way with my file generation.
OK, now to the question of the subject. I attempt to deny the deletion of the folder by following these steps:
1. right click on c:\build and select Properties.
2. click on the Security tab, and then click the Advanced button.
3. click on change permissions, and then click Add.
4 type everyone in the box enter the object name to select text box, and then click OK.
5. change apply to: this folder only, and then click the check box delete in column refuse. Note that I still want to be able to delete files (for example, old .obj files) so I don't want permission denied delete to extend to individual files. I try to avoid any program / system utility deletes the entire folder!
6. click OK, then apply to the parent area and then Yes to the dialog security of Windows and then on various dialog boxes open, OK buttons until I'm back at the office.
Test my new Setup:
-A open a "dos box" cmd.exe with administrator privileges.
-typed deltree c:\build---BOOM the directory is removed.
Thanks for your comments on what's going wrong here...
'Everybody' group includes all users except for anonymous users. If you connect to the machine, "Everyone" should wear on you.
Ok... Here's what I did...
Right click on C :-> properties-> Security-> Advanced-> change permissions-> Add.
In the window "Select the user..", typed in "Everyone"-> OK
In the permissions window: click "Delete subfolders and files" in the column 'Decline', select "This folder only" in the window "apply to", then "Oked" my way, "continuous" past files that he had problems with...
I then open the C: drive and created a new folder named 'Test' and put an empty file in it. then:
Do a 'Testing' right click-> properties-> Security-> Advanced-> change permissions-> Add.
In the window 'Select a user', typed in "Everyone"-> OK
In the permissions window: you click on 'Delete' in the 'Deny' column selected "this subfolder of the folder and files" in the window "applies to the" and "Oked" my way.
Then, I went in the C:\ directory and tried to remove "Test" by dragging it to the trash, and by selecting and hitting the 'Delete' key - as well as the removal of the command line. In any case, he refused to delete for me.
I don't know what you're doing differently, but for me, it works as advertised.

I have a 7 GB of HDD in XP, there very few applications and no photo or music, but after cleaning everything I could think of, still 10% free space. Help, please. I deleted all the old temporary files, all the old restore points, all files update of Windows that have been applied, but still can't below 10% free space. The unusual thing only I see, the defragmentation runs (when I force him) but still shows 62% of file Fragmentation? Any help would be appreciated... Thank you.

How to create a shortcut for deleting the photos
Every time when I want to delete a photo from my library of Photos, I confirm that I want to delete this photo. It is exactly 1 click or hit on the keyboard too. I was looking to create a keyboard shortcut for this, but I can't find the "right" of the menu command name. I thought it was 'Delete 1 Photo' but the keyboard shortcuts in the system preferences panel, I cannot type anything in there. Anyone know? And anyone know where I can find this command text so that in the future it can help me so look for other commands?
See you soon!
If you use the keyboard shortcut command + DELETE ⌘⌫, will remove pictures of moments politicians or any album without no questions asked. This shortcut should already be defined.

I imported the images into the pictures and they are clearly there when I go into the photos, but when I go into an email and select last import of files th does not appear also I can not select the photo that I have to join - it's as it is not updated in horizontally or something
Stop iPhoto and open your iPhoto library package, as shown in this screenshot
And look for a folder called import or import. Move it to the desktop (tomake any other changes to the content of the library package) and launch iPhoto. This should stop the attempt to re-import.
Check the contents of this folder on the desktop to see if it contains pictures that not imported and you want to keep and import.

Import and delete the photos from the camera
The link you gave is not useful. I don't want to use the application Windows 8 photos. All I want to do is to plug my camera and have pictures, transfer in a folder of my title and delete the photo from my camera. It's an ability that were available in Windows 7 and not available in Windows 8. I am currently using Dropbox and it is slow and uses tons of data to my hotspot.
Thank you!
Hello Joe,
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
I understand that you have questions, import and delete the photos from the camera. We are happy to help you in the matter of fixing.
You can check the below link to import photos from the camera.
- First, connect your digital camera, and press the Power On button. Windows 8, which will detect the camera and will install the appropriate drivers.
- After the driver installation is complete, the AutoPlay menu appears.
- Select the option import pictures using Windows.
- In the lower right corner of the screen, a small window asking if you want to mark photos will appear. You can type a general images you want to import. Tags can be very useful to organize and find your photos.
- If you do not want to insert a tag just leave this space empty and click Import.
- If you want to customize the import settings, click the Options button. Now you can change the following settings: where pictures import them (the default folder is pictures - if you want another folder, click Browse and select or create this folder), the name of the folder (by default the name of the folder will be the date when the images are imported over the tag you entered) and the file naming convention.
- When you are finished, click the OK button. These settings apply to all the photos you want to import in the future.
- After you click import, Windows 8 starts to move all your photos. If you want the pictures to be removed from your camera once the import process is completed, click the Delete after import check box.
- Once the process is complete, start Windows Photo Gallery and you will be able to see all the photos that have been imported.
- Now, turn your unit off and unplug the cable to connect to your PC.
If this does not help then, try the steps below to get the images from the camera.
- Go in computer.
- You will find the camera under portable device or removable devices.
- Double-click on this unit and you can copy and paste from this location and import it onto your computer.
I hope this helps. Otherwise, feel free to write us back for assistance.

Can I use pictures from the reserve for commercial use for my members to do with. We would not sell the photos but the use for commercial use. (the 29.99 price months?)
Thank you.
Barbara
In your case you will very likely get extended licenses for images from Fotolia.com otherwise you would have to buy a new license for each Member who has access to use the weather picture they actually use it or not...
