I deleted Windows Defender on Windows Vista and tried to download and reinstall windows Defender but I gat a message that comes up saying that I should not install windows defender, because it came with the computer.
deleted the windows on windows defender and impossible to reinstall! Message comes out and says that I should not install windows defender, because it came with windows vista. How can I try to fix it when I have windows Defender on my computer?
You can not delete Defender in Vista.
It is part of the Vista operating system.
You can only activate / it:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Defender-on-or-off
Enable or disable the Windows Defender
Many anti-virus have conflict Defender (McAfee, AVG, etc.), and turn it out / conflict with it.
Microsoft Security Essentials, it turns off because it has its own version.
See you soon.

For some reason any my current vista said that it isn't legal (it's that came with the computer) I have not changed the operating system. My key of vista down my computer is damaged. If I perform my vista recovery provided with the recovery drive, this will solve the problem? The recovery process will be asking for a cd key, because as I said above that on my laptop is damaged.

* Original title: restart the computer
I just got a new Windows 7 computer, and it has many applications in this shift makes the apps that I really need. How can I completely restart the computer world and lose all files, applications, etc., that came with the computer first
If these are apps you added and want more, you can use the functionality of your computer factory restore. Unfortunately, this erases the disk and leave you with a double précis of his State when you turned on for the first time. Then, you would have to do all the updates of Windows and then install all the programs you want.
Otherwise, use programs uninstaller (from Control Panel) for each application that you do NOT want to uninstall.

can't activate windows xp with the product key that came with the computer
I got a computer of 510N HP Pavilion from a friend who was absolutely riddled with viruses and malware of all kinds. Every thing I did to clarify apparently nowhere got done or made it worse. At the end of the day, the computer would only begin to restart, stop after the start of the HP logo screen, then start to boot, etc and more. All I could do was to install the hard drive in another computer and format, from scratch. Now, I'm trying to install the system to XP op for the disc that came with the computer.
the problem: the code the product key on the case went wrong with the disc. After searching for solutions, I found a code on the disk by searching the files it contains, tried and it worked! Problem is when I try to turn it on, it says it's an "unauthorized product key." I tried to enter that code on the box and who says he is "invalid". The Cd look authentic; are for distribution with new pc HP and Compaq. After a further inspection drives are XP Professional SP2, while if it is XP Home Edition. What gives? Activation does not anyway. It is any use that will not make me buy a new set of disks?Please let me know if more info or detail is necessary.
PS - only a single piece of hardware has been changed - the cdrom initially provided with the computer was bad, so I went out to perform the installation.
When you perform a restore to the factory on some HPs condition you have two choices: 1) a restoration which keeps your data and programs (in a repair installation); (2) a full destructive restore which brings back the machine to the State, it's when you first opened the box. In your case, you have already wiped the drive, so the question is moot. I would call the HP technical support. Normally when you use an OEM recovery media (HP, Dell, etc.) a product key is never required during the restore. If you have used the media to restore HP shipped with your system and are always asked for a key and one on the sticker machine is not accepted, then something is certainly. If you are lucky man you will be able to use the tool to clean Windows system restore.
This tool allow you to roll back the State of the OS to the point of beginning.
I think you can use it and try to roll back the OS to the point where you have removed these applications. -

I need to know how to save my drivers on my hard drive or on a disc because I lost the disc to my computer and I want to change my hard drive on my laptop

How to use the Vista computer backup and restore
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you buy a NEW hard drive, the new hard drive manufacturer is normally cloning software available on their website for you to download and do exactly what you want to do.
Alternatively, use 3rd Party software, you will have to pay for:
http://www.Acronis.com.au/homecomputing/products/TrueImage/
Or get a drive for recovery of your computer manufacturer, or borrow a DVD of Vista from Microsoft and reinstall Vista,
Read the info below:
How to get Vista recovery Media.
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

I think someone changed my MacBook Air charger, is it possible to identify the one supplied with the original computer?, if it has no serial number connected to the computer?, thank you!
There is no serial number match between the computer and the charger. All MBA models came with a 45W charger and there is no danger in using a higher power charger.

For some reason, your operating system is unable to properly read the SLIC table in BIOS which allows the OEM_SLP key you use to activate autoTo resolve this problem, you must change the key for that on your sticker COA - go to system properties page and click on the link here.You may need to activate by phone

Recently installed Samsung 840 Evo SSD in my Dell Inspiron 15r 5537. They created the restore disc factory of the previous disc thought they would just install on the new SSD. After trying to install get you a mass that told you can't reinstall on drives less than 400 some odd gigabytes. I thought I'd try an OEM of Windows 8 CD version I have. Who does not install as well you get a message that says something like: "the current installed does not match the product key." So now I'm stuck with a new computer with a SSD brand new and I can not install an operating system on it. I bought six machines from Dell in the past six months and I want a cure for this ASAP or will ever I bought a Dell product. James
Hi James,
You cannot use any old disk OEM of Windows 8. You need a Dell Windows 8 disc. Click here to order a.

Hello
I am a user of Lightroom 4 since it came out and it worked fine.
My system is based on a motherboard Asus Maximus III, the Intel Core i7 875K 2.93 GHz processor, card EVGA Geforce GTX 960 Graphics, Corsair Vengeance 8 GB of RAM.
I used to have Windows 7 Home Eng 64 bit on it.
After installing Lightroom 6 everything is fine again, but then the evil came:
There was a problem with the pc, so I had to use the restore before installing Lightroom 6 point, bringing back me to Lightroom 4
The problem is that somehow my internetbrowsers stopped working one by one. A virus? Norton was running, so it shouldn't.
The restoration of an early version did not help the problem
I needed the PC for work so I installed the free update for Windows 10
Now, I can not install my Lightroom 6 more: it keeps giving me the following box:
Of course stop the firewall did not help. Looks like a standard sentence as well.
How to solve this?
Thank you for reading.
Settle in the right forum.

Can I move my current operating system that came with the computer on a new hard drive?
My family got a hp pavilion m7560n some time ago. Last weekend I heard on that clicking sound from the hard drive I think. Since then, I only heard once or twice. All that I know is that clicking may mean the hard drive is defect or on the way that him. However I don't know if this is the case if the sound starts and stops.
I want to know if I can format a new hard drive to replace the one provided with the system and always keep the same format as on the system when it was new. I mean here the operating system and all other programs who came to this topic. The recovery that are made to work for this computer discs may work on a new drive hard format if it is put in place of the system?
Or are otherwise free to carry the operating system and other programs on a new hard drive.
The hard disk provided with the system's 320 GB, I have one that is 500 GB.
Hi logicman77,
the recovery discs are meant to be exactly for this purpose. You can put in a new drive hard (500 GB is fine), and the discs will reinstall XP, as well as all software provided on them.
The computer will look like it did the day you took it out of the box. This document will give you details on the implementation of the recovery: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07145

How to re-download the Microsoft Office came with the computer?
My niece had her laptop 11 inspiron and now isn't sure how to get the Microsoft Office 2013 she bought when she was ordered to the laptop. It was already installed and is not come with a disc that would not have worked since the laptop doesn't have a place to play the s drive. It is not listed in the site of downloading dell for his laptop, but I can very well a detailed list that shows, she paid $118 for it, shouldn't there be a way for her to re-download the software. I contacted Dell via email on this subject but I just got an email saying that he was no longer under warranty, but I could call a number and paid help.
CAROLINAREADER,
You can click on the link to download office supplied with your computer. There are also other links if necessary information. You create a Microsoft account if you do not have to download. FYI - if you do not find the MPI card with the office code and you had previously activated your office 2013 with Microsoft release them must still be a record. You may need to call MS to activate.
Manage, download, save or restore Office products
Help in activating Office 2013 problems out of the box.
OEM de Microsoft Office 2013 version and product key not valid errors (Geo-Blocked etc.)
If you have other software from Dell you need to download and which is installed on your computer, you can click on the link below to register your system and download. This site only works with Internet Explorer.
You have bought Dell software after you received your computer and need to download and it again, you can click on the My Digital Locker service below.
