Hello JudyDarling
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft Answers forum!
According to your description, it seems that you performed a restore and subsequently, several evidence properly, we have experienced various errors, etc.
This happens in another profile? If this isn't the case, then we can try the procedure in the following article:
Difficulty of a corrupted user profile
If it persists in another profile, we can try a clean boot to solve this:
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
If we still have problems in a clean boot, you may wish to consider another restore to a most recent restore point.
Let us know if it helps to solve the problems.
Best regards

When a computer XP starts, the following errors occur. Can't find Mac addresses, can't find DHCP at startup. PC is not connected to a network.
Why would it gives this error at startup?
It is not a Windows problem, it happens very early in the boot process until Windows is still a part of the image. Your computer is configured for a remote network via PXE boot and there is no this PXE server so that you get this error message. With PXE network boot, you can start a computer without him having a hard drive, the operating system resides on another machine on the network. When the BIOS does not find the PXE server it gives you the error message, and then it proceeds to the next start equipment, which is probably your local hard drive. Go into the BIOS and disable the PXE boot option or move it to the bottom of the boot order so that the hard drive is set as the primary boot device.

I need to change the boot order, so the installation CD starts first-I can't enter the Bios at Startup Menu.
It's a HP Pavilion that says F1 is supposed to allow me to access the menu of the BIOS at startup. I also tried:

o F2
o F10
o, CTRL + ENTER
o ALT + ENTER
o, CTRL + ALT + ESC
o, CTRL + ALT + INSERT
And kay LED does not work either. It's Windows XP - 32 bit home.

I just noticed a new glitch today. Always I been selection of multiple files in a given folder, then right click and select the option print from the context menu.
Today, what did, I find my printer print continually one of the file multiple times, until I stopped just to the printer. What happened more than once.
I don't know what has changed. I have not tinkered with the print settings, nor did I update the printer driver, or install a Microsoft Update having to do with my printer.
All solutions?

I have tried creating a new profile becauae I don't know if I can do it right or even if it would work.
Would appreciate any help. Thank you. Bearcat78
Hello Bearcat78.
I advise that you think... a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. But it's not too difficult.
Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.
First, save your profile by saving a copy of the profile file... See: profiles of boards - where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
- Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
- Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
- Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
- Windows:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
- Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
- Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
- Windows:
- Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
- Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
- Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you!

I searched faq, but most deal with how set up points and not what to do when the computer cannot be restored to a point. This computer is 5 years old and I set a restore point every day is there a file that must be emptied?
Some security programs prevent changes to their file and must be configured to allow the restoration of the system work. For example, if your computer has Norton Antivirus or Norton Internet Security, you must disable Norton product Tamper Protection before running the system restore:

How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
They will tell you how to do this.
Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed. There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

I recently did a factory reset on my computer and saved all my files on a flash drive when I load them onto my computer, they look all as internet files explore instead of dreamweaver files, please, help?
They probably had the IE icon because Windows automatically associate with IE html files.
It is of no consequence for your work in Dreamweaver, but you can change this association if you wish.
Go to control panel > default of programs > set Associations.

Hi donorann,
· Did you do changes on the computer before the show?
· Updates (KB numbers) you are trying to install?
· The updates are installed successfully?
View the history in Windows Update in Control Panel window, or go to installed updates:
Open installed updates by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click programs, and then under programs and features, click view installed updates.
Follow the steps in the article.
Note: You must take the backup of the data before performing any installation of windows.
