• How to restore my first backup of a DVD-R disc and subsequently two other backups? I don't have a computer image.

  I opened the options in system recovery Menu, but I have not anywhere; System 32 (?) was one of the optiions.  Is it possible to see/read the date/info on these discs?  Stickers for info I put on the discs came out.
  Also, how do I restore / turn on SuperFetch?  I've never heard, and I have no idea of what I did.

  ·        How did you created a backup of the system?

  You can't save backups to regular system on CD or DVD image and according to the amount of data you have, it might take several CDs or DVDs to keep your backup and you would need to store and keep track of each of them.

  You will need to boot to the desktop in order to be able to read the files that are there in your DVD.

  1. you can go to the computer by clicking the Start button and then select the DVD drive letter (x :)) and do a right-click and then select Properties, then you will be able to see the date.)

  2. to see the news in the DVD, you should double click on the drive letter.

  SuperFetch has two purposes: it decreases startup time, and makes sure that you use the most loading applications more effectively. SuperFetch also takes the calendar counts, because it will adapt to your usage patterns.

  To activate the SuperFetch follow the steps mentioned below.

  1. load the Serviceswindow by typing services.msc inStart search.

  2. Once opened, locate the SuperFetch key.

  3. now double-click the SuperFetch key and it will open the Properties dialog window.

  4. here, you can Toggle it by changing the dropdown to Toggle.

  5. There is another interesting option called Automatic (delayed start), this will start superfetching after a certain time during the startup.

  6. stop superfetching immediately, press the Stop button.

• First backup still holding...

  Received my new Lenovo T530i yesterday and started making disks backup for the first time. Well, it has been almost 6 hours and taken so far 10 CD of 700 MB each. Is this typical? I also want to make a backup on a 32 GB USB Flash drive. I think plug the flash drive until I go to bed tonight, and hoping the back-up will be all done when I wake. Taking this process so long?

• Economy twice during an action as the same file extension possible with Photoshop without overwriting the first backup?

  Hello, first time submit a question to the Adobe communities.

  I would like to be able to record twice during an action with the same file extension; How is that possible? I tried a number of methods such as: save a JPEG as a copy, renaming jpeg in jpg format, adding a line to underscore the SMALL Word after it, etc., and it keeps overwriting my first recording. I'm still not recording "in copy" feature when saving a jpeg file. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I think that if this box is not grayed out on my second record I would be able to add the copy at the end of my file name that would create my second jpeg.

  I need this is because when I save the little and the big jpeg for our company store, I would just create an action that saves as two different sizes and then closes the file to move to another. The site on what I download is Four51 and they take a reorganization of the files, so a single method, I tried was to save the second time into action as a png but it makes it transparent and I need a white Uni.

  Tried to go into the options and disabling transparency PNG but that only works with quick export that will not register within an action (even abroad). It is a dilemma for some time, and my only way to work around it is to create the action doesn't follow: resize to 300 px wide > save as Jpeg > end of action. I play action and hit the command option I have change my size to 100 px wide for the thumbnail, then click on control shift s to record success and right arrow to add details and then save, order q, tab, space.

  If it makes no sense to anyone, I would be grateful for your advice. The only thing I can think that I have not tried is to change my background from transparent to white and then create this action: command option I have 300 px wide > order s (jpeg) > command option I have 100 px wide > command shift s (png) > w command

  I guess the only way to change your default background to white instead of transparent is to create a new document and put in place without transparent background then go further, my new documents will have white backgrounds. Do not see under my preferences?

  Something like the following action could work.

  A couple of notes:

  Image adjustment is under file > Automate > Fit Image and resizes the image to fit the specified size.

  For example, if you enter 300 in the two fields, photoshop resizes the longer side at 300 and the other dimension including the size proportionally as when you use Image > Image size to maintain Proportions checked.

  

  Photoshop uses the copy to JPEG files if the image of your savings has one or more layers or is not 8-bit/channel, because do not support JPEGs of layers or say 16 bits/channel.

  If you have only a background layer, then photoshop uses a copy when saving a jpeg file

  Thus, during the recording of the action you probably want that one-step flatten so save the first does not include copy in the name.

  To get the action record adding copy to name, open any image, add a layer, and then record save as jpeg for copy adds the jpeg save as step

  Created the snapshot of the original image open, so the second resizing using the original instead of resizing the image already resized.

  You can solve this problem.

  1. wrap your script date in an if/else-expression - it is an example of FormCalc:

  2. prior to you reader select the form, clear the field. It will stay empty because of the if/else expression.

  If your this readOnly or protected field, you must use the JS console to clear the field. -There is a sample to access the "dateField1" under Form1.Page1.Subform1.

  Using Win7 Home edition.

  When I did the first backup of a USB attached hard drive, I got what I expected: the two backup files AND a backup image.
  When backup running under Win7 backup schedule, I had ONLY the backup files not image that I expected.

  I want BOTH each time when backups are performed.

  What I am doing wrong?

  Windows backup creates a backup of the selected type, IE an image backup or a backup set, not both, the complete image data would also include the data (on the same partition)

  I was intending to write a backup via Thinkvantage R & R, started from the start menu. As no target could be selected to save the backup fails.

  After that I talked to one of my colleagues, who told me to use R & R by the window (this way he did the first backup), I reboot the machine via the restart button in the upper right. The rebootet of the machine, but rather to start Windows Thinkvantage R & R was launched again. No matter what I do, if I chose to boot from the disk HARD Thinkvantage R & R starts (if I chose to boot from USB od CD system on key or CD will start).

  I can repeat to infinity, it will always start Thinkvantage R & a. I even tried to go back to the initial backup - without outcome

  Maybe someone can tell me how to stop this circle.

  Sorry for this late reply, but I did not test this earlier.

  Thanks for the tip, this is the first step to solve this problem. After I changed the boot flag, I could start XP - but only once. So once again, I changed the boot flag and I saw a notice about a failure and now waiting for the backup operation (this time, I watched the XP boot process, closer .) After that I gave up work on hold, I am now able to boot into XP and R & R as I want.
