  • I have my 5 factory reset iPhone, now I can't set up my iPhone because it must be enabled, and I don't have a sim card. Can someone help me please?

I have my 5 factory reset iPhone, now I can't set up my iPhone because it must be enabled, and I don't have a sim card to make. Is there a way I can install and use my iPhone without needing to be activated? Can someone help me please?

To skip the activation of sim card, you can use iTunes if you have a CDMA iPhone. However, if you have a GSM model you will need to insert a sim card to activate your iPhone (it can even be used/inactive). Here is an article that will help you determine if your iPhone is GSM or CDMA: http://osxdaily.com/2012/11/15/determine-iphone-gsm-or-cdma/

  • Windows could not start. And I don't have an installation CD. Can someone help me?

I have an Asus and since it fell from my Office I can't start Windows, it starts with a black screen and tells me to insert my disc of installation because of some "hardware or software changes."  I can never remember you get a Vista installation CD.

    Hello jkwendel,

If you were not provided with a Vista CD, chances are that the image of the operating system is stored on a hidden partition on your PC. What you would ned to do is restore back to factory conditions. You, of course losing everything that is currently on your PC then, if all goes well, you have all the important files already saved.

Check your PC user guidfe supplied with the PC to see what you need to do to restore to factory conditions.

Alternatively, you can contact Asus and ask if they can provide you with your particular computer recovery discs. They will, fo course, charge you for these and the price could be higher than £50.

  • I'm a student, wanting to buy first pro with the student and teacher discount. The only two options are the creative cloud and the package of photography. I don't want to just first pro, can someone help please? Thank you

Here's the deal - the SIMPLE APP pricing for an individual is retail $ 19.95 / month, so your 'first only' would be $19.95

For students, Adobe does not give a discount on the price of the single app - on the contrary, they give you EVERYTHING for the price of the only application of mo $19,95. !!! Seems to be a no-brainer for me.

You say you want only first, but once you start editing, you will realize that it is really useful to be able to make a round trip to Photoshop to work on photos/graphics. And then you will have some bad audio you want / need to clean up a little, and you can make a round trip in Adobe Audition and so on. It's a good deal for students.

    Thank you

    Jeff

  • don't remember windows password

can someone help me get my password?  I guess I forgot, but cannot change programs or anything like that.  I'm using vista Home premium.
    Thank you

Log on to an another user account with administrator privileges and go to control panel > user accounts and change the password for your own account to something, you will remember. Write it down somewhere.

If you had only an administrative user account and you have forgotten the password, the first thing to try is to start safe mode. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. That you will get to the menu on the right where you can use your arrow key to select Mode safe [Enter]. The built-in Administrator account is disabled by default in Vista. However, if no other administrative accounts exist on the system it can be activated. If this is the case, you will see an icon for the administrator on the homescreen mode without failure. Connect (the password will be a white) and then go to control panel > user accounts and change the password for your own user account to something you'll remember. You can then follow the General instructions for setting up user accounts in Vista that I will give you at the end of this post.

All this requires a certain level of computer skills. You know better and whether taking the machine to a competent local computer tech (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad place) or a knowledgeable friend is the best solution for you.

If you don't see the icon for the administrator mode safe account, then the built-in Administrator account is always disabled. Assuming that your user account is an administrator, you will need to use NTpasswd to change the password for your own user account to a blank.

    http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/

Download CD (.iso) image and burn as an image, not as data. You will need a third party burning software. Then boot with the CD that you created and follow the directions. After you are done with NTpasswd, remove the CD and restart the computer. Sign in to your user account, which will now have a blank password. Then go to control panel > user accounts and a password that you will remember.

General information about the configuration of the user accounts in Vista:

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is an OS multi-user with system built-in accounts such as administrator, by default, all users and guest. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it will take third-party tools and work outside the operating system.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

  • Don't remember the password for Windows 7 emachine computer laptop

don't remember admin password windows 7 and will not let me reset it

Here are the usual methods to solve this problem:
    • Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
    • Log on to your account admin to spare, and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you set up an alternative admin account).
    • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
    • Insert your flash drive USB with the password key file (only works if you have taken the time to create such a key file).
    • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)
