I doubleclick on an icon and open with rises

Hello Im having a problem with my Vista OS Im running Vista x 64 home premium and now when I double click on a folder icon 'Open with' appears. It's petrol with all the icons and the only way to open an icon must run as an administrator. Similarly, I can no longer install any program because it open with is displayed and there is no file to run that works and even if I select who will open it, it won't open with a double-click...

Thank you for your time and consideration

Nick

Hello

Use above message for intense and thorough check for malware.

To restore the ability to run any .exe programs.

1 make a Restore Point so that you can come back if necessary back although probably not required.

  • Want to get an overview with the photo viewer and open with Photoshop

Hello.  In all previous versions of Windows, I was able to do.  Right-click on an image and the 'Preview' option would open the image in the Windows Photo Viewer, and the option 'Open' it would open in Photoshop (or whatever the editor, I had chosen).  I just installed Windows 7 and I seem to be unable to get to do this.  If I select "Photo Viewer" as the default program for jpg files, I have TWO options 'Preview' in the right click menu.  Both will open it in Photo Viewer.  If I select Photoshop as the default program for jpg files, I get a 'Preview' and 'Open' option, but both open the image in Photoshop.

How can I configure "Preview" with Photo Viewer, and 'open' with Photoshop?

Thanks for the tips of registry.  I managed to find and fix the problem.  I tried to fix paint.net as the program open by default, and it has open in paint.net and presented in preview in Photo Viewer.  So I thought it was something to go astray with Photoshop.  Under HKEY_Classes_Root\Photoshop.JPEGFile.9\shell, there is a key-file for 'Preview '.  I deleted who, and now it opens in photoshop and previews in Photo Viewer.

  • Open and Open with are grayed out

I don't have much experience with the bridge, but I recently started to use it to drag the photos in an InDesign file.

Well, somehow I messed up the options in Bridge. On the right side of my screen, I released in PDF or Web Gallery. I have no idea what I clicked to get there, no more than I can understand how close this part of the screen. On the left side, I have a file list, which contains pictures for my identification project. However, when I click on file, open and open with are grayed out.

I just want to go the bridge he had before. Can you please help? Thank you!

  • Default indd file missing and open with no. Para new documents. styles

    Hello

When you create a new indd file in ID CS6, a set of tags para etc have been automatically loaded in the new doc. Today, I open a new file and it opened with only a database para tag. I know some years ago, I created a sort of default file that included all the settings I wanted as a default value for any new project, backed up where Adobe me and baptized what Adobe me ID will look for when creating new documents.

I thought that it would be default.indd but without SOAP.

Can someone tell me the exact name and the folder where this file should be kept.

    Thank you very much

    Jon

Create a file with all the styles that you want, save and close. With no file open in the Panel switch paragraph and Styles from the dropdown choose load all styles... Choose the file that you saved with your styles and load them, then close the ID and relaunch. All new files from the file > new... should have these styles.

You can also save files empty (or non-empty) with any configuration page and the selection of styles predefined as InDesign templates. You access those via file > open...

  • Can't 'open with' LR3.6 in Win Explorer

    Hello

Since the upgrade to 3.6 LR, I am unable to export pictures .jpg from Windows Explorer directly in Lightroom 3.     I always use to be able to right click on any photo and 'open with' Lightroom 3 (.exe) before this upgrade.

Also, in the library files I could do the same thing with my RAW photos - i.e. right-click on one of them and 'open with' the LR3 in the list icon, but I am unable to do it now.

I know that I can open LR3 and import photos, but I'd rather just go to Windows Explorer to choose the ones I want.       My OS is Windows 7.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you very much

    Carole

I don't know if it will work on a PC, but on a Mac, you drag & drop images on the LR icon that you want to import. If you have a LR shortcut on your desktop I would give it a try.
