I downloaded the adobe reader software, and my habit always file open
I downloaded the adobe reader software, and my habit always file open
Do you have accepted the license agreement for the reader?
Otherwise, go to C/Program Files (or Program Files (x 86)) / 11.0/Adobe/Reader
Double-click the file "eula.exe" (it may just say "EULA")
Accept the license agreement.
Open drive and you should be able to open a PDF file.

The U.S. Patent Office offers 'PDF forms' which can be downloaded using Adobe Reader. However, when I try to download these forms, only a "Please wait" message is displayed. I have the latest Adobe Reader, who says that force is necessary. So what is wrong here?
Do not try to open the files directly in your browser. On the contrary, save them locally and then open them in Reader directly.

I had the previous version of the Adobe Reader software, and I put in the comments of the editor. As reove, replace text, etc. And now with the new version of Adobe reader, they seem to have disappeared all of them, except perhaps the reminder.
Hi Mariam,
Please try this:-with your PDF document open, click on the "comment section" on the side right of your document, under "list of comments", click the "Filter comments" icon and choose "View all comments" or "hide all comments.
I would like to know if it works.
Kind regards

My computer has Windows 7 and Acrobat Reader DC. When I open a PDF sent there are several fonts instead of one. The only difference I can find is 'Properties - font - Arial - Type of the actual is of Type 1 fonts' instead of 'TrueType '. If this is the problem, how can I change the Type 1 for TrueType, and if not, what could be the problem and the fix?
It cannot be resolved with Reader. Sounds like an issue that will be attached to the end of the creation of embedding fonts.

I'm filling out a form that is available on a site. When I click on the option to fill out and submit the form 'online' a pdf document is displayed in chrome with the following text
«To display all of the content of this document, you need a later version the viewer PDF.» You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html for further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html"
Needless to day, I installed the latest version. I even reinstalled using the link in the message, but nothing helped. Whenever I click on the link to go forward, I get the same message. Question: (i) is it my PC/software (Vista), (ii) is the site where I'm trying to submit the form, or (iii) is it the software acrobat reader. Note that I used successfully the last version to fill out and sign forms.
It is none of them. It's Chrome, which is ignoring Adobe Reader and showing the message.
Solution: just save the document (with the message) to your desktop. Then open it in Adobe Reader. The 'real' should then display.

How can I set Adobe Reader as my default application to open PDF files?
I am a user of Mac with OS 10.5.8. The default application for PDF files found.
Often when I get a PDF file, I can't see the content. It comes in white... except, perhaps for the letterhead. I have to convert the 9.5 drive Adobe to be able to view the file.
How can I set my preferences so that Adobe Reader is the default application for PDF files?
Thank you.
I am answering my own question. I learned that if you right-click while trying to open a PDF file, you will be asked which application you want to use to open the file. If you click read the information, instead of choosing an application, you get this great information box that gives you the ability to set Adobe Reader in your default application for PDF files. It lets you change all the pdf files, you already have the Adobe files. Yay.

I am running windows vista and am trying to install Adobe Reader.
My internet programs explore and the printer have changed the icon and the programs trying to open with adobe instead of their exe. If I delete then adobe, they work fine...Hi dabrown52,
You can check out the following link and try the suggestions posted by Linney MVP on Friday, January 29, 2010 19:03 and check if it helps.
If the problem persists, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling adobe.
You can try to uninstall all older versions, Adobe Acrobat , and see if the problem is resolved. Uninstall earlier versions of the application and then install the version you want. If multiple versions of Adobe Reader are installed on the system, remove all versions and install only one version.
To do this, follow these steps:
1. click on Start, type Appwiz.cpl in the Start Search box, and then click Appwiz.cpl in the list of found files.
2. double-click on the version of Acrobat or reader you want to uninstall.
3. click on Yes if you are prompted to confirm that you want to uninstall the program.
Note If you are prompted to confirm that you want to run the program, click on allow.
4. click Yes to restart the computer. For more information, please visit the following links:
