I forgot my password for the administrator account and am stuck on the comments! Reset the password.
I just changed my password of the Admin account as my fraping friends keep me, I chose a very long password, but he forgot the moment I got to the school house. I now have only the available Guest account. What should I do? Help, please.
Here you go:
- Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
- Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
- Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
- Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
- Select 'Repair' when prompted.
- When you are prompted, select System Restore.
- Configure Windows to a point before you changed the password.
- Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.

I desperately need to merge two administrative accounts on my laptop - using XP and NOT windows 7 (so there is no transfer Assistant). I need to transfer all of the OLD admin. account in the NEW Admin account.
For the full backup used Carbonite - due erase hard drive and reinstall XP - carbonite cust. veeeeery slooooow service and I had to use the laptop for the preparatory work. When the backup has been restored, he implemented the administrative account of origin, besides I have created a new. Now, most of the files are under the old administrative account, and I need to move the OLD files in the NEW Admin account.
Would sincerely appreciate your very specific instructions? ... step by step, if possible? Not quite a prolific technician, but no slouch, not more.
Thank you very much!
You can't really merge two accounts. You can copy data from one account to the other. Folder options > view tab > check "Show hidden files". Then go to:
c:\Documents and Settings\name of the old account and copy the files to My Documents, desktop, Favorites in folders in your new user account. When you have all your stuff, you can delete the old user account from the control panel > user accounts. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

This is the account specified for the View Composer. I don't 4.5 Setup not yet but in 4.0 it is configured in the same place that you specify your vCenter server. The account has certain permissions to join the domain clones. You can find the permissions on page 14 of the admin guide

Administrator accounts and user Standard
I want to configure my Windows 7 Professional user accounts properly for one user and seeks advice.
In getting started, I entered a password for the Administrator icon that is displayed on the PC.
Can I add a second administrator account and a Standard account for a user? Thank you.
This seems absolutely perfect for me, indeed. And if you are curious and you want to check, you can open a command prompt (right-click of your Start button and choose it from the list), and type net user to see which accounts you listed.
After you have finished it all, I suspect that will show you:

Local administrator account and issue of local Group Policy permissions problem.
You have a local administrator account where it was defined
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/5716/18112010133154.PNG
I think preventing the admin account to remove or install devices. This causes a problem. Looks like it's AD GP as is grayed out and I can't add locally. The network team claim there is no GPs AD to limit the admin account local they know of.
Also, I try to use the process on the machine monitor, but who needs administrator rights and he repeats that the local administrator account is not a member of the Administrators group, but it is.
Any ideas? Even if it's just he Process Monitor bit setting?
And looking at the photo can someone explain which means that icon next to load and unload device drivers. It is different from the others and think that it is linked, may be trying to tell me that it is a strategy of AD Group.
I talked to the networks, they said there is not together AD GP for this. I used the local administrator account to create a new local administrator account and put it in the Administrators group. Connected to it and it also has the same problem.
Any ideas?
The symbol, that you reference indicates that the setting has been locked by group policy and is not editable. When I saw it in the past, the only way I could replace, it is using "secedit". For more information about this command:

Ability lost access administrator account and create files (using Windows 7)
Running windows 7, administrator account has disappeared and cannot access (it is listed as a user with permissions (mine has changed and he's been a user listed as S-1-5-21-3964978265-1859684145-9075597-1000 and finally managed to remove it (I think)) and the ability to create folders, or by clicking right in applications.)
Clicked on what I thought, it was a reliable site, the message says that I had to update Flash to enter the site, after a large number of ads downloaded and changed my browser; I just uninstalled from this time, installed backup of the previous day and blocked unwanted applications through my Norton.I don't know if there is something else that is affected. How can I fix it, my level of knowledge is limited on what I should and should not on my system. You can probably fix your problem by using the system restore. Here's how it works:1. keep tapping F8 during the first phase of startup.2. select Repair from the menu.3. Select an administrator account, and then enter its password.4. When you are prompted, select System Restore.5. set Windows to a point before this problem occurred.6. plan in advance and create, test and document a spare, even admin account that you have a spare House key. -
I created a separate administrator account and can't get it to appear at startup. I need to send my Macbook repair and need this ID to show when they turn on him. How do I do that?
If you added via the preferences system/users and groups, it should appear as a long time that you have set the display of connection to appear. To do this, go to System Preferences/security and privacy. Then check the check box turn off automatic connection . This should show the login screen at startup. You may need to click the lock (lower-left) icon to unlock the setting to check it out.

I forgot the password for my administrator account only.
A few months ago I created two accounts on my Windows 7 computer: a standard user, who does not have a password to connect, and an admin user, that does not require a password to connect.
The problem is that I forgot the password for the admin user and now I can not upload files to the standard user because he asks me the password of the admin.
What can I do?
You can use the account that Windows created for you when you first loaded Windows. It was created automatically with administrator privileges. Setting up new accounts will not change unless you deliberately downgraded this initial account.
