800b0100 error code when you try to install the updates KB974145 and KB978251
I tried to install these 'important' updates several times with the same result - updates failed, error 800b0100 code. I downloaded and installed the KB974821 tool - tells me it installed - same problem. (I don't know if I'm supposed to do something else with KB974821 - I have to "run" or just "installed" it enough?) Instructions could certainly be clearer)
I tried to download and install the updates manually - without success - I get various error messages, like "does not apply to your system" or "for a different hardware platform.
I tried this with my firewall/antivirus close as well - using Trend Micro - and still no luck.
Thoughts, comments, suggestions, help? Very much appreciated. Thank you.
BTW, I'm running VHP 64 with Service Pack 2 installed. Nothing should be this complicated or frustrating.
Thank you. Re to system update readiness tool, maybe I missed it in the documentation, but how in the world would be a layman knows where to find the results?
You are welcome.

Windows keeps giving me an error code when I try to install the updates.
I tried to install a new printer. It to get to the same place each time, and then say that a fatal error occurred during installation. One of the printer troubleshooting advice gave was to ensure that all updates had been installed. When I went to make sure they were all installed, we kept giving me error code 8000FFFF, saying that it was unable to install the. I don't know if this why the printer will not be installed, but it worries me that all updates and things are not done.
It comes with Vista, upgrade install and activate Forum.

Error 8000FFFF when you try to install the update
I tried both options. First, I used Mr. Fix It and the response was that iupdate has been installed, the next day, I realized that is not true to fact. When I started the update of Windows Vista again, I got the same error 8000FFFF. This means that I n 't have the same update again. I tried the other option for the Proz tech and I did not succeed.
What this means for me, Mr. Fix It Pro can not solve this problem, and as I am not a tech Pro, I can't fix either. What is the solution for this problem?
Respectfully,.
Nicole

If you have moved all of the id records after the installation, you will not be able to update until what you restore these files.
It is probably best to uninstall your id and then reinstall it.
