  When you installed Windows 7 Pro, did you do a reformat and clean install, or have you just loaded Win 7? Part of the problem may be a residual of pirated software. I recommend a reformat and clean install if you can do it now.

  In the contrary case, the thing to look at is if there is a driver conflict between what driver is there now compared to what was there. Go to control panel | Device Manager and watch the video, sound, and game controllers section. What drivers are here for audio? And which audio driver your speakers are pointed to? The active audio driver suitable for your speakers.

  I don't know what happened with agents, with which you spoke. Looks like someone left dropped the ball. I went ahead and started the order. Sound was sent FedEx ground. I think it takes usually 3 to 5 days. Sorry for the inconvenience.

• I just spent 2 full hours trying to synchronize Firefox on my desktop pc and my android phone. Won't work, even if I follow all the instructions correctly.

  I went to FIREFOX, CONFIGURE the SYNCHRONIZATION. I created a new account (address email, password twice, box for the General conditions of privacy, anti-robot box). On a separate tab, a screen appears with the message "Set up complete! I've closed this tab, then went to PAIR A DEVICE pc, entered screen code that appeared on the screen to CONFIGURE the FIREFOX SYNC to my phone, and then click NEXT. The phone showed immediately (a busy area horizontal) activity, with the message "Waiting for device"... After 7 minutes, the default phone CONFIGURE the FIREFOX SYNC with a new code in the 3 boxes, and the default pc on-screen set UP SYNC with 2 buttons, set UP the SYNCHRONIZATION and a PAIR DEVICE. Somewhere in the process described above (I don't remember exactly where...), the pc asked me a RECOVERY KEY - which I could not find anywhere, either on the phone or the pc. I repeated it at least 5 times, always with the same result-no. Somewhere in the instructions, it describes a "manage the ACCT" button to Sync Accts - No. SUCH BUTTON APPEARS ANYWHERE, nor the pc and the phone. • Old photos have not been deleted, even if it's been more than 2 months and keep crashing the photo library in icloud.

  Earlier this year, I used the library to icloud to back up my photos. Everything worked well. After awhile, I deleted the photos and off synchronization from photo library. Today, I decided that I wanted to use again, so I turned it on. It seems to work fine but when I connect to my PC I have the chance to see the old photos have not been removed. They seem to be corrupt (there is an exclamation mark instead of a thumbnail) and I can not open them, instead the library hangs. It has been more than 2 months, I suppose that even if I forgot to delete some photos, they should be gone now. Is there a way to fix this?

I'm also waiting on a keyboard of stock since 12/04/10 more than a month. I am so disappointed by the performance of this thinkpad. Also disappointed by the s/h in the replacement keyboard.   The keyboard has finally arrived for a month and a half after the opening of the issue. When I replaced it, however, the problem persisted - which means there is a whole new motherboard. So this is a note for anyone who reads this thread with a similar problem on a SL410 - it's a motherboard problem, not a keyboard.

  Who had another week to arrive and the laptop is finally usable.

  Overall, it was a very disappointing experience with support from Lenovo. I don't know if it's just the SL range or a sign of things with org Lenovo support in general.
