    Thank you, Rick. (nagpie1 and malatel: this thread is only for Ricky63.) Please leave this thread and start your own son.)

    I see that you have Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3 level. Ok. :-)
    Go to this page:
    Click the custom button. Wait a bit...
    If you have in fact all your patches security post-SP3 installed, then you will see this message:
    High priority updates

    No priority updates for your computer are available. To select other updates, use the options on the left.

    Can you confirm?
    In addition, do NOT choose to install the optional updates that are available! They are rarely necessary, and they often cause problems!
    Also, you need to let us know if you have the version the recent Adobe Reader or not. As I mentioned earlier, the current version is 10.1.3. If you run Adobe Reader and select "about...". "in the drop-down Help menu, you can see which version you are using.
    That being said...
    There has been a lot of recent reports with people having all kinds of problems with Adobe Reader. My recommendation is to uninstall, and then run the tool to remove here:
    Then, install a free PDF reader senior (and less of a problem):

  • Error running Microsoft Visual C++ 6030

    I have XP and a Canon PIXMA MX 850 and I use a Dell on WIFI and Office HP laptop and I have the same question at a time when printing.

    After that I feel, I get this error message:
    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime error
    Program: C:\Windows\System 32: rundll32.exe
    R6030

    Is this something new with your system?

    Given that the message refers to the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library, it would seem wise to start looking here (after of course making sure you have the latest version of the software for your PIX MY MX 850).

    You can look in Add/Remove programs and to see which version of the Microsoft Visual C++ redistribuatable software you have installed.

    Chances are you will not have any more or you have an older version.

    It is also possible to have multiple versions installed because need some software that you install specific versions.

    It found on my system, I have 2005, 2008 and 2010 is installed.

    The current version is Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable and you can get it here (you need to be sure you have XP SP3):

    Hello

    1. did you make any changes before the show?

    2 did you recently install Office XP or an Office XP program?

    Method 1:

    You can reinstall Visual C++ Library Runtime components to solve the problem.

    Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 (x 86)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=9B2DA534-3E03-4391-8A4D-074B9F2BC1BF&displaylang=en

    Method 2:

    If the problem persists after installing above package, the question must be a software problem. I suggest you take a cheque to boot this is a software conflict problem. If this isn't the case, it is always recommended to fix the problem with the support of the manufacturer.

    To perform a clean boot, see the article:

    Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

  • Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library linked to Microsoft Security Essentials real-time program

    I started having problems a couple of weeks with my Microsoft Security Essentials. The program will start and say it could prove to be not on the real-time protection. Hi Suzybyrd,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    1. when exactly you get this error?

    2. don't you make changes to the computer

    In the meantime, try this method.

    Try to put your computer in clean boot mode and check if the problem persists. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. This article describes how to solve problems in Windows Vista or Windows 7 by performing a clean boot.

    Steps to put your computer in a clean boot:

    1. click on Start
    2. type msconfig in the Search box and press ENTER.

    If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click continue.

    1. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
    2. under Selective startup, clear the Load Startup items check box.
    3. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click disable all.
    4. click on OK.
    5. When you are prompted, click restart.
    6. after starting the computer, check to see if you still get the same error.

    NOTE: TURN on YOUR COMPUTER to a NORMAL STARTUP AFTER TRYING THE STEPS above.

    Click Start, in the search box to start, type msconfig and press ENTER.
    Select Normal startup, and then press apply and OK

    Try and let me know if this helped.
