  I think you're GROUND (so outtat chance).

  Generally, you can press F8 or F10 to choose what you want to boot from.  Depends on your system and the manufacturer.  If you can press F10 and select the CD/DVD drive, it should start.  Either that or get into the BIOS and make the CD/DVD the first boot device.

  She still does not start, if the CD is good.

  I finally just upgraded to FF28 this week and will have a very weird problem with the tabs bar. I am attaching a video of 2 seconds, because a screenshot still does not capture the issue.   Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
