I get the RAM right?

Hello

I've never upgraded RAM before so I would just check that I have made the right choice please.

According to this install memory in an iMac - Apple Support , I can get this 2 GB or 4 GB RAM SO-DIMM SDRAM DDR3 1333 MHz memory in each slot.

I tried to find out who recommended to provide RAM and macsales.com seem to prevail. Can anyone recommend someone to the United Kingdom?

Anyway, they say that I can go for that 16.0 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR3 PC3-10600 1333 MHz SO DIMM 204-pin SO-DIMM CL9 Memory Upgrade Kit

Check with Crucial, they should be available in the United Kingdom and only get their certified Mac RAM.

-> Ask a friend to burn a CD repair system for you (Control Panel / backup and restore). Now to use this CD to start the machine in Repair Mode, and then use the system restore to set Windows to a point before you downgrade your one and only the admin account.

When you're done, plan ahead a little and create, test and document a spare, even admin account that you have a spare House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.

I think you're GROUND (so outtat chance).

Generally, you can press F8 or F10 to choose what you want to boot from.  Depends on your system and the manufacturer.  If you can press F10 and select the CD/DVD drive, it should start.  Either that or get into the BIOS and make the CD/DVD the first boot device.

She still does not start, if the CD is good.

I hope this helps and good luck

  • When I open enough tabs to get the left/right buttons to appear, my whole tab bar flickers

I finally just upgraded to FF28 this week and will have a very weird problem with the tabs bar. I am attaching a video of 2 seconds, because a screenshot still does not capture the issue. Not only is the flasher/flicker unpleasant visually, but it makes it almost impossible to click on the x to close a tab (I have to right-click and choose close tab instead).

Edit: impossible to attach a video; downloaded here:

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

If Windows XP Pro create a user in the XP box with the same name and password as the one you use in the box of Windows 7 and make the user member of the Administrators group.
