  My buddy gave me his sansa used for a Christmas gift.  I loved.  They when I delete his old songs that I deleted the other folders on it as well (pictures, records, etc.)  basically everything except the music files.  Now, when I turn it on, it says "cannot load the main image.  switch to recovery mode.  I browsed the forums and tried to make the sansa.fmt folder (it formatted) but still does not work.  I can't find the stuff I deleted from the Recycle Bin.

  It's Christmas time.  Santa has something cool in his bag, I'm sure.  We will first check the device to version 1.

  When he started upward, you saw just the SanDisk logo with sunburst on the splash screen?  I just want to be sure that your e200 is not a Rhapsody Sansa, because this version has different firmware.  R has a Rhapsody splash screen after the initial one.

  You've seen how to connect in Recovery Mode, Yes?  Start with the e200 decommissioned.  Slide the HOLD switch to the right (orange showing) and hold the button depressed all REC by plugging into the USB port.  It is the easiest method of recovery mode.

  Alternatively, you can start the Recovery Mode if the REC button is held, and the power-menu button is tapped too. In both cases, welcome to the Recovery Mode is displayed.  Either incidentally, the MSD acronym on the screen refers to the "Mass Storage Device", as in MSC mode.

  A few words of caution before going any further.  Recovery mode opens the reserved partitionof the device.  Critical data are stored here.  Do NOT use the Windows format command when this partition is opened, or you will erase these critical data! Only use the sansa.fmt folder trick to tell the e200 himself format automatically.

  Download and Unzip the TWO files of firmware for your Sansa e200v1 here.  It is the 01.02.24, the final version.  Just click on the version you want for your region.  The Sansa Updater link isn't what you need.

  The two files, after him have unzipped, are pp5022.mi4 and BL_SD... ROM (mental block on the name at the moment).

  When you connect the e200 and open a window of Windows Explorer (my computer / computer), you will see a new icon, 16 MB FORMAT.  Double-click this to open reserved partition.  Do not touch the file version.txt in there and don't TRY to use the Windows Format command that appears with a right-click, bad juju.

  Let's go Happy window. Drag the first window to a convenient size, and the other with your firmware files can be placed on the desktop.  Now for the magic!  Simply drag and drop these two firmware files on in the open window that represents the reserved partition.  Cool huh?  Easier to make the ratio of rum and eggnog just right.

  Now, if there are a bunch of gibberish stored on the device, and you want to start with a clean slate, you can tell the e200 to format the primary partition (where music, videos and photos are) automatically.  Click right while in the 16MB FORMAT box and select new folder.  RENAME it sansa.fmtfolder and the Sansa will follow this command after installing the firmware.

  Go to the task bar at the bottom of the screen and click the command remove device or eject the disc.  Again, WIndows like formatting of devices, it of eject you want, do not fit!

  Unplug, and restore your e200!  Slide the HOLD switch to the left.

  Let me know how it goes, since the Bobster has other tricks in the bag.  This one should do the trick.

HP solutions asked me on an upgrade to get the printer etc drivers and software updated for win 7. I downloaded the complete installation as directed by HP and the installation version, the computer just sits there in the part of installing software and then comes up with the next Dot - 4 Wrapper message repair. This file does not exist and is required for installation. then it gives me the necessary dll. who is C:\windows\system32\hpzidr12.dll manufacturer HP version 0.0.0.0. Where can I get this DLL file? I can't support for HP because my printer is under warranty and of course all the HP wants is your money if you have a problem and certainly no worries to try to help their clients regarding this problem. I installed their patches, and they do not work. Now, my printer is not fax or copy. It is connected wireless and I did HP diagnostics and wireless printer software and device software and several patches there including the dog patch, and the patch scan. always uninstall and reinstall the software reveals the same problem and when you make the wireless Assistant and Assistant Diagnostics my printer is recognized and pass all the tests. also the wizard test to the PRINTER and fax work just fine, and I can send and receive faxes and copy and scanning, fine print. When on my computer, however, the tests work as leader, however, when I go to HP solutions program gives me an error (yellow triangle with exclamation point) and States printer is not connected. Yet, I can print and scan from the software, but I cannot fax or copy an error message appears and States may not connect to the printer. MY Device Manager and IP address and printer Wi - Fi testing and diagnostic diagnostic all work well and find my computer and also do report no problem Firewall etc. I guess the program of upgrading hp had me use to get win 7 working with HP software solutions has a defect.   Can generally be through storage being too full. Make sure you have free space. You can try to reset all settings. Settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This will change your background, code access, network connections back to the default value. If this does not fix it you need to restore on iTunes. Save first otherwise you lose everything. This will fix it for you if configure you it as new restore backup buck should be OK if you need your data back.

  Frankly - uninstall McAfee and use something else.  There are several free options that are as good, if not better.
   
  My suggestion:

  Get rid of McAfee. Anything and everything that made by McAfee.
  Get something else for free (not some manufacturers of ISP/computer getting a rebound) and probably less resource intensive with better results all around.

  Regarding AntiVirus - free are very good: Avira, AVG, Avast

  You could spend ~ 60USD during two years of eSET NOD32 AntiVirus (not more - just product AntiVirus) and which would be more worthwhile.

  In your case, here is what I propose...

  Choose one product other than McAfee or Norton. Get it.

  Uninstall McAfee stuff (use their removal there tool.)

  After a reboot - install your new product and update after the installation.

  Run a full scan with it.

  Then - just to make sure you started on the right foot...

  Search for malware:

  Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

  • MalwareBytes (FREE)
  • SuperAntiSpyware (FREE)

  Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

  Search online with eSet Online Scanner. Remove everything it finds.

  Reset.

  When I boot my START button and botton bar does not appear.  I can only active programs on my desktop. No error didn't occur during the starting and stopping of the system clean.

  There's probably a little Ribbon blue at the bottem, correct?  It's probably because you unlocked the taskbar and moved down.  If you place your mouse over the wick and pull upward, the taskbar will go up.  Or, you may have hidden auto bar, so hovering over the taskbar can bring it.  You can still access everything on your computer with a command prompt (type "cmd" in run) or run, dialog box which is accessible with the Windows key + r, if you didn't know.  Oh, and the Windows key is the Start button on your keyboard.  If you type explore in the run dialogue box, you will see something familiar.
