  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv6-6c40ex Entertainment Notebook and issues with programs not working not properly. You can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop. I recommend somewhere around November 1, which ensures that the parameters that have been changed are fixed.

  When running a system restore note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.

  I've updated to windows 10. .and I have installed the latest driver realtek audio on my laptop from the HP website.

  The B & play 0 appears in the control panel and list of icons. But I am not able to change the mode(music/voice/movie) in the room B & O when you listen to music and watch YouTube etc .i have reinstalled the driver realtek audio, but the same problem appears. Please tell the solution for this problem

  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome! I think the problem you are having is your sound and headphones since the Windows 10 upgrade.

  Note Remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

  Although you had already uploaded/updated new drivers, I would suggest trying to uninstall all the drivers of its current:

  • Go to the Device Manager
  • Click sound, video and game controllers
  • Right-click on the audio driver
  • Click on uninstall
  • Restart your computer laptop twice
  • Try the speakers

  You can use the HP Support Assistant's drivers. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updated for Windows 10.

  Are - what you happened to try the audio Troubleshooter? It might be able to solve your problem automatically.

  You can find the great troubleshooting steps in document No. sound from speakers as well as resolution of the headphones and headset problems. This document contains several troubleshooting steps that may prove useful.

• Pavilion 500: Startup of Windows 10 work not

  After that the last Windows update, the sign on the screen does not appear. Forcing safe start pressing F8 during the boot, gets me to the sign in screen, but then the work neither mouse nor keyboard, so I can't connect.

  I tried the restore before the update, but it fails. Also tried roll back to the previous generation and failed.

  Unfortunately I did not a recent upo back and worried about data loss...

  Solution as follows:

  Repeatedly press F8 while putting on until a message like "preparing..." "appeared (had to take 2-3 attempts to do)

  Subsequently a series of diagnostics and repair options will appear

  Select 'advanced options', and then the option "restart".

  Choose the option to re - start with 'Malware protection disabled.

  When it restarts, it will be appear the same, but leave it for 30 to 60 minutes, he's going to slam away at himself.

  After that, you may have to restart, but you should see a message "Do not turn off, Windows update Setup", and then you know you've cracked!

  I have a HP Pavilion p6-2016.  Can I install a 2nd HARD drive?  There is no power connector (15 pills) for a 2nd HARD drive... If a 2nd HARD drive is acceptable without overloading the power supply, which cable I can buy for this?

  I don't know where you're going safely mount a second hard drive in it. If you need an additional SATA power cable, you have a power cable 4 white pin (molex) unused? Any computer store would have a SATA to molex power adapter and all the SATA drives used to be packed with some sort of computer stores have a good number of them laying around.

• Pavilion g7 - 2023cl: Blue tooth driver will not be installed

  I restore this PC and everything started to work but wireless driver and the driver bluetooth. I got all the drivers through the line on HP tool that identified the drivers and software on my PC.

  A search showed others with the same number of wireless card and through that I found the right driver wireless on the forum. I got so lucky with good bluetooth driver. Note that those with the 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter driver problem all seemed to be a model of Costco (mine too) if that matters.

  Here's some info that may help someone help me find the right driver. Note the driver loaded is now the generic driver from microsoft.

  Which is usually caused by a corrupt BIOS. You can clear the CMOS. Sometimes, but not always, which solves the problem.

  Look for the clear instructions of the CMOS. The instructions do not specify this, but it is best to remove the RTC battery before performing the clear procedure of CMOS.

  Looks like your machine is ONLY the second option on my first response, which means that your machine has NOT of Bluetooth. If you wish, you can buy the USB Bluetooth dongle for about 15 euros.

  Hi all

  I have recently upgraded to windows 10 and had not had any problems until one evening internet dropped out. After a while I realized the wifi adapter did not work. I tried to update the driver, nothing helps. The unit displays under working properly in Device Manager but does not appear in the network connection settings.

  I tried a system restore point that solved the problem but then Windows 10 updates (updated critical around 23 September 15) and wifi no longer works again. I noticed there was recently a couple of new updates of the driver (sp72517), but these have not solved the problem.

  I can still connect to the Internet using a LAN cable, but need help need help I can't easily use a LAN due to the location of routers. I've updated the Hp Wizard and I tried troubleshooting etc but still no joy.

  The elbow of any help would be appreciated gratefully.

  I managed to find a solution to this problem online, don't know how or why it worked, but it solved my problem and I hope that it might help others.

  I uninstalled and deleted the files from the wireless driver, then uninstalled Kaperskey and restarted my laptop. Then I went into Device Manager and manually updated the network drivers (think I might have restarted again here) and sucsess hey presto, all that remained to do was to reinstall kaperskey.

  Hope this helps someone else with a problem with wifi Realtek Pavilion.

• Pavilion DM4 - 3090 Beats Edition - could not retrieve the BIOS update failed

  Hello everyone.

  I was trhe proud owner of a HP Pavilion dm4-3090 Beats Edition until two days ago, when I updated my BIOS, but I was unable to power on the laptop again. The system simply feeds the button WE and the Wifi (F12), HARD drive turns a bit, DVD player makes a noise and powers of fan on any USB flash drive connected to power system; but only for a period of 1-3 seconds.

   

  
  This process is repeated every 2 to 3 seconds.

  I have vain tried to restore the BIOS from the HARD drive (the HARD drive has not changed, I have still the partition HP_TOOLS in), with key combinations: Windows + B, Windows + P, Windows + Esc, Esc + Fn, Fn + B, Fn + P, four arrows. I also tried to do this via USB flash drive (with UEFI tool provided by HP), put some BIOS downloaded HP in the root and the current, New records and previous USB drive, once again, in vain. The laptop seems forever trying to read the USB key, just it under tension and that's all.

  So my question is if you please tell me what I do wrong and also, is there is another way to try to get it back.

  a. If it functioned very well under Windows 7 before?

  ·         I suggest you to disable your firewall security software and check if you are able to play the game.

  4. in the monitor Properties dialog box, click the Troubleshooting tab.

  5. click on the change settings button.

  6. in the Security dialog box, click on continue.

  7 move the hardware acceleration slider to none to reduce or turn off video hardware acceleration.

  8. click on OK.

  9. restart Windows.

• HP Pavilion Notebook: right click on area does not

  I bought this laptop a few weeks ago as a replacement for my old Asus.  I can't the 'right area click' on the touchpad to work at all.  I went into the control panel to access the touchpad settings and times enlarged and reduced the size of the 'zone', but it still does not work.  The only way to access right-click features is by a tap 2 fingers.  Anyone can shed some light on this?

  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook and the TouchPad works not properly. Here is a document on how to troubleshoot the Touchpad and activate different button options.

  If you go to the section on shooting all the TouchPad try to restore the default settings. Here is a document that shows you how and where to click. Located at Figure 14: properties of the mouse select, TouchPad Profiles screen.

  You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!
