I got the error message "display driver stopped responding and has recovered," when running windows experience index.

This error continues to occur after I wiped the system and the drivers and reinstalled the. What should I do? My video card is an ultra 8800 which has never had any problems.

Product: HP Pavilion dv7-6015tx Entertainment Notebook PC

    OS: Windows 7 32-bit

Status: Clean installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32 - bit Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    Hello

I had several cases where the computer seems 'lag '.

then, after a few flickers on my screen, Windows would give the error:

"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered."

There are still effects after this message.

When dragging windows, scrolling top-down graphics etc. continue to Flash.

This isn't all in hardcore, the GPU was not operating at high temperatures.

Interestingly, I don't have this problem when I'm in the middle of hardcore games.

The CPU was not under heavy load, the CPU was not working at high temperatures either.

I checked the temperature with thermal control (HWiNFO32).

I have a lot of resources, 1223MB of RAM to spare.

I also have lots of HARD disk space too.

I installed the latest version of the graphics driver for my product: AMD graphics driver high definition,.

    but the problem persists.

    Help, please!

    -John

I understand your frustration, I had the same problem, I really did, for centuries!

    Try this:

Do not go on the AMD website for a video driver. those who do not work properly for some reason any...

Download on the HP site specific to your HP product, for example, I have a dv7 6015tx with 32-bit windows.

Then I'd go to: dv7-6015tx drivers

If you still have the drivers on AMD ATI Web site, uninstall them, restart.

Go to the HP site where you can find specific drivers for your product HP, installation, restart.

It seems trivial, but it's IMPORTANT and most of the time to restart after uninstalling and installing.

It worked for me, hopefully it will erase your questions, good luck.

I have OS windows 7 and my computer model compaq laptop presario CQ60... can you tell me the link from where I get this update drivers?

    Hello

What you see is called the TDR (time display and recovery) process in action.

This component is designed to prevent damage to the computer when the video device is nearby to crash the system. In earlier versions of windows when the display device ran out of resources throughout the system would stop responding, requiring a hard reboot to recover.

In Windows 7, if the display device is not responding, the system will try to stop and restart the device to recover.

More information on this feature can be found here (Advanced): http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg487368.aspx (written for Vista, but also applies to Windows 7)

The most common reason for this problem is that the display device is overloaded or used beyond its capabilities.

When this situation occurs, windows tries to recover by restarting the display device. If she can't get it back, you will see the blue screen.

This happens more often when you play graphics intensive, but can occur with any process that uses a large amount of graphic resources, for example, when editing or creating videos.

What you can do to avoid these problems:

Make sure that you use the latest graphics device driver.

Manage your work time with programs that are graphic-intensive, quit other programs that might also use a large amount of resources.

    Hello

Recently I get this message as the computer freezes momentarily and then recovers.

"Display driver AMD driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

I checked the support for Dell drivers and received conflicting results.

When I checked with the help of system analysis, it gave me a list of the 54 system-wide updates. How could it be possible?

When you use the label of my service, I got the following result:

54 updates is not necessary. You should only update a driver to correct a specific problem. You don't need to remove the video card driver before installing a newer version.

  • Display driver stopped responding and has recovered the problem

I got a Dell Inspiron M5040 with Windows 7 for Christmas 2011 and I started to use Windows Live Movie Maker, but whenever I get in the middle of editing a video, the screen went black for about a second and says "display driver stopped responding and recovered." The first time this error message has occurred, the laptop computer itself restarted and is went to a blue screen with the text, telling me to go into some sort of 'safe mode' (I couldn't read the text in time). I have all the latest drivers, my laptop is new, only yesterday lit.

What can I do about it? I really want to use Movie Maker. I'm new to the Forum, so I hope someone help me. Thank you very much. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi James

What you see is called the action process.in TDR (Timeout, recovery of the display).

In earlier versions of windows when the display device ran out of resources throughout the system would stop responding which would require a reboot to recover.

In Windows 7, if the display device is not responding, the system will try to stop and restart the device to recover.

The most common reason for this problem is that the display device is overloaded or used beyond its capabilities.

This happens more often when reading graphic intensive games, but can occur with any process that uses a large amount of graphic resources, such as you see when you edit or create videos.

What you can do to avoid these problems:

    1. only this type of procedure when the laptop is connected to a source ca.

    2. in prior to starting video editing, restart the computer.

    3. close all other running programs to ensure that all graphics resources are available for video editing.

  • Pavilion 6154ea: Radeon display error - display driver stopped responding and has recovered

Received a UN expected error in the web search, actully screen off for a few seconds before receiving an error on the display driver stopped responding and recovery.

Took a glance in the peripheral section where the 2nd adapter displays without any sign of error.

After recently installing a new SDS moving from the HARD drive, reinstall windows 7 etc via the updates and the order to make recovery disc the laptop because I used receive a blue screen error frequently, so that the display driver does not not error occasionally when using the design programs.  Therefore assumed, needed a new HDD/SSD and factory restore.

-Laptop computer has been cleaned withdrawal because keyboard, frame etc. with solvents as a cleaner. Therefore cannot be over heating the fan works hard to due and SSD.

-Power supply has been connected to the time

N ' was not overclocked as it is when using disk HARD aswell

It wasn't until today where it happened again, without the blue screen though. So decided I would look at him and realized it is a common problem with the ATI drivers, when I assumed it was a HARD drive failure all along.

This time the screen turned off for a few seconds, more then previously which is a little disturbing. Was only using a search engine with no program in the background. Infact havn't got round to reinstall files and software so the laptop is very clean and basic and works so don't know why I feel this fast.

  • Display driver stopped responding and has recovered the display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver

Hey guys I have a problem that is really starting to stop a little worth. I recently bought this desktop computer and I had problems with the GPU drivers when I play some games. In the middle of my game, I am reduced to a minimum and maximized every 15 seconds and have the error "display driver stopped responding and recovered, NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver display driver." I tried SEVERAL solutions from different threads, and I still have this problem.

    Things I've tried:
-Added a TdrDelay (8) in my regedit
-Defining my CPU PhysX on my GPU instead of automatic selection
-Install an older driver over the last.
    Specifications of the PC:
    -8 GB DDR2 RAM
    -Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT Galaxy
    -Power 500w S
-Card mother ASUSTeK Computer Inc. M3N-HT DELUXE
-Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit free multiprocessor-7601 Service Pack 1
    -AMD Athlon (TM) 64 X 2 Dual Core Processor 6000 +.

    Hi Vexin,

Try the following steps to solve the problem.

    Step 1:

I suggest you uninstall the device of the graphics card from the Device Manager.

To open the device in Windows 7 Manager - check this link.

Once uninstall you the graphics drivers in the Device Manager restart the computer.

    Step 2:

Visit the manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers for the graphics card.

Link to the manufacturer's Web site.

    I hope that helps!

  • Error "display driver stopped responding and has recovered" seems to have led to big problems...

Last night, I was watching a video on my computer and it froze for a minute, and I got the error "display drivers is not responding and have now recovered." I was a little confused, but this allowed me to continue to play the video. I played it again, and 5 minutes later, I had the same thing. He continued, the case most often. Thereafter, whenever I went to play the video, he froze.

It seems to get worse and worse - the computer has finally restarted itself and made a sort of "Scan disk", which took about 10 minutes. I was hoping this would be the cure but after it loaded up, it happened to go to a blue screen and stop again. This happens everytime I turn on the machine now, a blue screen and it will restart.

I noticed that whenever I rebooted the computer, the image quality is degraded (i.e. the random colored lines on the screen). It was late, I therefore stop the machine and went to bed. I just started the computer this morning and opened in Mode without failure. This time he opened, however the picture quality was terrible - worse than ever. Multicolored lines all over the screen - I could hardly read the text on the screen, so I shut it down again.
I now type on PC to my parents because my is pretty useless.
Anyone has any idea what it could be? Or what I could do to fix it? This was happening to anyone else? This problem is related to the initial error message "display driver"?
Thanks in advance for your answers,
    Jay.

Of what you said is probably a problem with your graphics card. It could be the problem hardware or software problem. If it's software problem then it could solve more easily. You could start here:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-monitor-and-video-card-problems

But if it is the hardware problem, then you should contact the manufacturer of your computer or you need to replace the graphics card.
