  You can only get a new product key when buying a new copy of Windows.

  Check the bottom of the laptop for a sticker with a 25-digit product key.  If she says it's for the same edition of Windows that is currently on the computer then you can use it.  Otherwise, you can order recovery disks from the manufacturer of the laptop or of a third party as Recovery - Disks.com and restore the computer to its factory condition.  Recovery disks don't require entry of a product key during installation.

  If I bought a used computer, no matter who that belonged
  -a friend or not - the first thing I would do with it would be to
  Reinstall the operating system itself. You do not know how the
  computer has been maintained, which has been installed incorrectly.
  What is missing, what viruses and spyware, there may be, etc. I have
  don't want to live with someone of another errors and problems,
  possibility of kiddy p0rn, etc., and I would not recommend that anyone
  otherwise do.

  Your choice of course, but in my opinion, you're playing with fire if you
  do not reinstall Windows properly.

  installation partition. Contact the manufacturer of the computer for
  instructions on the use of it, or buy an installation disc if you do not have

  It is possible that you clicked the 'Block Images' item in the context menu by attempting to save an image.
  Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > content: Load Images: Exceptions - see the web content, pop-ups, fonts and language settings

  A way to see what images are blocked is to click on the favicon (Site ID icon) on the left side of the address bar.
  Click on the "More information" button opens the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "tools > Page Info").
  Go to the tab Media of this "Page Info" window.
  Select the first image and scroll though the list with the arrow pointing downwards.
  If an image in the list is grayed out and there is a check mark in the box "block Images of..." and remove this mark to unlock the images from this area.

  The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
  You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop

  If a license of Vista at retail, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
  But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.

  A single license is a single Installation.

  Run msconfig and check in the Startup tab to view all the items being preloaded. There will be a lot but look for those related to Notepad or in a .txt file, uncheck the box it and restart to see if the problem is corrected.

  Method 1: Boot errors are fixed by the clean boot.

  Perform the clean boot and see if that helps.

  A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
