  While we could run through a long series of messages in an attempt to resolve system problems, my suggestion would be to;

  (1) ensure that all data is backed up on an external - the easiest method is simply to copy data to an external support. Checks that the data is readable on the external media.

  (2) then use your HP recovery disks to restore the system to factory condition. (Make sure that the external devices are disconnected when you do this, for example printer/external readers)

  Did allow the update of windows to run important updates, which can take several reboots and analysis again.

  Then run the HP update utility to get updates of the HP driver.

  I guess that the version of Norton you are using was preinstalled by HP, and it will be a trial version.

  If you check your history of license, you will see the images that you have acquired a license.

  I added a credit to your account in order to replace the image duplicated under license by mistake.

  Windows Media Player 12 version does not work with Windows XP.

   

  You can delete the Windows Media Player database and check if it helps. To do this, follow these steps:

  a. exit Windows Media Player.

  b. click Start, click run, type %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Playerand then click OK.

  c. Select all files in the folder, and then click delete on the file menu.
  Note You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

  d. restart Windows Media Player.
  Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

• Pavilion 20-B323W: so I guess that there is no control support windows 10 drivers or bios...

  This computer was given to me running win 10.  tried to do a reset, but for some reason it didn't, so I did a reset to factory than brpght me back to win 8.  did all updates, finally updated to 8.1 after many failures.  fact the upgrade from win 10 and am right now doing a clean install from a DVD ISO.  I thought that, maybe, I need to update BIOS, drivers, etc..  However, HP is apparently not to support ANY victory 10 pilots, etc. for this machine.  is there advice, help or advice anyone can suggest?

  You are the very welcome.

  Looking at the support page for your PC, I see that pilot support through Windows 8.1, and the last update of the BIOS is on the W8 support page, which I do not recommend running on W10 if you have not already installed it.

  What this means is that HP is not supporting this model of PC for W10 at all.

  Sometimes you can use the W8 and W10 8.1 drivers for all devices that may require drivers.

  I used the Vista drivers on some to run my old HP PC W10 and they works perfectly.

  I have an old HP dc7800 desktop and W10 version installed a generic audio driver, which worked OK, but there was a jerky sound of intervene it whenever I start the PC.

  However the driver audio W7 support page of the dc7800 worked better than this W10 natively installed and installed the audio control panel, and the burst of sound from speakers disappeared.

  There is no 'hybrid' of Microsoft XP and Windows 7.

  For all BIOS password problem, contact the manufacturer of the laptop; in this case, DELL.

  Microsoft prohibits any help given in these Forums for you help bypass or "crack" passwords lost or forgotten.

• I have installed Windows XP Professional, previously had Windows 2000. I've noticed that I goth a WINDOWS folder and a WINNT folder. I guess that the WINNT folder is the surplus of Windows 2000. Can I delete it?

  Yes, you can delete the WinNt folder as long as you have shot all the documents/files of the old installation and no longer need the information.

  Two things may apply here.  The first is that, in fact, someone stole your credentials because you signed in to your mailbox using a public hotspot.  If you can still access your mailbox with a web browser, on a private network (such as your home network) and change your password to something complex and unguessable, using at least 10 characters, the characters being a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, punctuation or special characters.  Who must thwart those who have stolen credentials, denying them access to your mailbox.

  The second thing that can apply is that your box to the letters is safe, but your address was hacked, which means that spammers are using their own mailing envelopes but by specifying your e-mail as well as the mailing address, something that is very easy to do something that happens to almost everyone who allows their address be visible in a public forum (such as Facebook or an online discussion group).  This case if it is a serious problem and not a threat to you.  Since spammers change mailing addresses frequently, they will move to use yours.

  You can usually tell the difference between these cases because in the first case, you would probably lose access to your mailbox because the spammer changed your credentials based on himself.  It's a problem that you need to address with your e-mail service provider.   You can also see evidence of the compromise because targeted friends can send you copies of the messages they received, and you will be able to confirm from the message turned headers to your e-mail service provider's network.  The latter manifests mainly because you will begin to get NDRs to addresses that you don't recognize or are clearly fake.  In this case, just remove and stop worrying.  They will stop after a while.  Even still, it is always advisable to change the passwords to your services online all the months to protect against the compromise.  Tools like lastpass.com are beneficial to help keep you straight.

  You can have your photos on iCloud without any problem.  Lightroom CC 2015 is compatible with mac, please check system requirements of Lightroom CC 2015.   It might be possible that the size of the thumbnails is enlarged in grid mode.

  You can reduce the size of the thumbnails using the thumbnail slider.

  In order to activate the thumbnail slider, make sure toolbar is active (see menu - see the toolbar)

  or, press the G key on your keyboard, select a picture and press and hold Ctrl/command key and scroll down with your mouse, if you have a scroller.
