You try to install through the Explorer windows, not good... Try to install

XP CD, reboot the pc. At this point, the value of the BIOS pc boot xp cd (cdrom), defined as 1

boot device, set the hd as the second, boot to a cd. On the menu of the xp cd, select "Install xp", remove

the partition, create one, let xp format & install auto. It is a clean installation, also, once she

housing starts, do not touch any keys or mouce until xp asks for the product key #...
