I had to use a restore point on my Vista machine.
I had to use a restore point on my Vista machine. Do deleted connection XI and cloud of acrobat. The Application Manager indicates that these are up-to-date. How can I reinstall these applications? On a similar note, how to completely uninstall from a windows due to the upgrade machine, machine etc.?
John my next suggestion was to use the cleaning tool. It seems that it is the same Council had the support agent. You can also try running the Acrobat cleaning tool located at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html. Once you have run the Acrobat cleaner, to help remove other facilities of Acrobat, then repeat the installation process.
If you still receive the message that the application is installed then you can try also to reinstall Adobe Application Manager of http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773.

Powers of laptop on but Vista doesn't come not after I tried to use the restore point?
My HP laptop running Vista had some performance issues (my husband has used it) he had begun to restart itself on a law on a regular basis in the middle of him to help, so I thought I would try to use a restore point to see if it would help.
He acted like he normally does to eat, but then it wouldn't start again. To be clear, the laptop turns on but does not boot to Windows. Windows error recovery screen turns on and gives the choice of Safe Mode, Mode safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt or start Windows normally Mode.
I have it turned back and tried to use it in each mode Safe Mode with command prompt because I don't know what to do if it came like that. Whenever I've tried these other settings I get tell screen... Loading Windows files... .you go really fast... system32 drivers start loading then nothing else to a blank with the cursor on it and then screen after awhile the screensaver out of lights but that's it.
I don't know much about fixing anything beyond using restore points, so I have no idea what to do. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you!!

Recovery of files using a restore point?
Hello
Recently I accidentally deleted an important file in my office all the time (not in the Recycle Bin). I checked on YouTube on how to recover lost files and I found several methods but they take weeks, months to find the file. I looked on a tutorial on how to recover files without downloads and because if you got in this directory: C:\Users, I could, do a right-click on my profile and click on previous versions and view an earlier version so retrieve the file. I did like but what came to me was this error 'not earlier versions available. '
So I read that windows feature retrieves files for restore pointsI have. I was wondering if I restore to a restore point manually in my computer, by the stopping and starting in recovery mode and recover my file. However, I have restored in the past (for other reasons) and every time I restore it always says "Files will not be affected." So that leaves me wondering if I manually restore my file will be come back or not?
Thanks, I tried to give more details and you would be grateful if you could help me.
Andye Saeed.

I had computer problems mega today - had to get back to a week ago and in the process lost my PhotoShop and Bridge - according to the site, they are downloaded and does anyone know how to uninstall if they do not show, so I can reinstall it on my computer...? They appear everywhere - this has been a very long and frustrating day.
I use Windows 7 and before I had to get everything, all my adobe products, worked very well. I just installed trial on October 4. Thanks for your help!
I think I finally found the place to uninstall both of them will try it and then reinstall. If it helps I'll come here and remove this post.
In fact, since it took me a few hours to understand. One of the reasons why it took me a long time is that I've found another issue of discussion even vaguely touched on this topic. The problem is the question was asked 2 years ago, and the instructions were not in the same place. I ended up going to the creative, flat clouds screen on the right side of the screen and a small device (settings) appeared and the only option available when I did which was to 'uninstall '. I clicked on that and when he was gone, I still once gave me the option to download them again. At least my day ends with less stress he started. -

I don't know what to use as a "description".
Hello
You can not today create the Restore Points for a day or a week or a month there in the past.
They have already been created by the system to the previous date, or they do not exist.
You cannot create a Restore Point for a date that is already passed.
Here's how the system restore works:
You use the system restore to create a Restore Point for today (or the system does this automatically), so if you have problems to say a weeks time, then to restore beck date of the date and time using the Restore Point that has already been created today...

System Restore create not automatic restore points
I recently posted a related problem, which has been repaired/fixed, see http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Operating-systems-and-software/System-Restore-does-not-retain-restore-p...
My HP Pavilion DV6 is not creating Automatic restore points. Laptop is ~ 3 months and is using Windows 7. In my previous post, I had trouble with the restore points disappear. This problem has been fixed when I corrected a number of bad sectors on my hard drive. Now, I can manually create restore points and they remain intact. Manual of several points have been in place for a few weeks. However, I don't get the automatic restore points. I checked the Task Scheduler, it has listed the restoration of the system, the Task Scheduler Service is started and set to automatic. I put triggers restore to create a restore point 02:00 every day and start the system. Whenever I have check the properties of SR within the Task Scheduler window, it lists today and said that "the operation completed successfully (0x0). However, no restore point is created. I can't find any errors listed in the event where the viewer associated with the restoration of the system, kind of most prospects, it seems that the Restore Points should be created, but there is no list but the manual I did myself. I've set the conditions of restoration as follows: 1) start the task only if the computer is idle for 10 minutes. (2) wait for idle for 10 minutes. (3) wake the computer to run the task. System Restore has 15% of disk space for storing points, so there is plenty of room. Interestingly, on the properties of SR tab listed 'History', says ' story (disabled), so there is nothing listed there.»
I must be missing something - any ideas?
Last updated: the scenario and the procedure of johngalt I linked above works like a charm. I'm daily Restore Points just like I want. In the cases where I decide I want to only a couple of a week, I can easily change the new task at the request I created, so I don't plan to post further. Question is resolved :-) Thanks for the help!

How to change group policy for the system restore will create restore point
I recently installed an SSD with windows 7, it's the default OS and hard drive on a system dual boot. I also have my old HHD with windows vista home premium. I had problems using the restore of the system with the SSD drive and read on a forum that the restoration of the system causes problems when it is used on an SSD. I have disable restoring the system to the SSD, but still he had checked to allow restoration on the vista disk and a 500 GB drive, I have use for storage.
I managed to create a restore point when you are using windows 7 OS, but when I used my vista drive, and wanted to create additional restore points for two HHD disks, it does not allow the creation of restore points by group policy settings. I regularly create restore for the SSD disk and have created one for the HHD Vista since the system restore does not create additional restore points now.
How can I change my group policy settings to enable restore points to create the disk under Vista. I don't remember changing anything that might have caused it, is there a chance that a horse of Trojan or virus caused this? I have Webroot antivirus and currently aired Kaspersky Anti-virus on Vista drive. I also ran the Microsoft safety scanner in safe mode and normal startup mode, none of the virus scanners have found problems, so I'm pretty sure I don't have a Trojan or a virus.
To the point, how to make appropriate changes to allow the restoration of the system to work for my two HHD disks. Better yet is there a way to restore completely all original windows default system settings without having to do a clean reinstall.
You can provide any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

Original title: Windows XP: recycle bin and estore points.
After the last formatting the computer and installation of Windows XP:
(1) any file/program I opened and work with / appears later in the trash even if I did not remove it. The file or the program remains in its original folder and nothing happens to her, I can work with him when I want.
(2) Windows creates so many "restore points" that once a month I have to delete "all except the last" in order to have my program anti-virus (PC-Tools) are working properly. Is there a cure for this?
Thanks in advance,
YaelYou did the right thing by turning SR off on your external drive. See http://bertk.mvps.org/html/tips.html#11
There is no need to have the system restore check a partition which contains only data files. Http://bertk.mvps.org/html/description.html (this is emphasis added)
About the system restore
- System Restore monitors changes to the system and saves the State of the system as a restore point. If a system problem occurs following a change of system, the user can return the system to a previous state by using a restore point data.
Applications and the system can create restore points when changes made to the system occur. System Restore also creates checkpoints every 24 hours of absolute time. In addition, users can create manual restore at all time points. - System Restore does not restore user data or documents, so it will not cause users to lose their files, email, browsing history or Favorites. System Restore is also provided to users in safe mode, making it easier for them to reclaim their computers before that happens the problems. Note: a system of Safe Mode or restore the command prompt a cancellation restore point will NOT created!
The monitoring system
- System Restore monitors and restores a set of file system and application, the States of these files before the change of the archiving system. System Restore also records a snapshot of the registry (Note: some current registry values will persist) and some dynamic system files. When the System Restore detects that the user is not actively using the computer, (idle time) he compresses the registry and copies of any file made.
- System Restore requires a minimum of 200 MB of free disk space on the system drive during the installation. When the amount of falls of free space on the disc below 50 MB on ANY monitored drive, System Restore goes into sleep mode and continues to create restore points. All restore points are deleted at that time. System Restore reactivates and resumes create restore points from 200 MB of free disk space on the system drive.
- Files that are monitored or excluded from the monitoring are specified in the file % windir%\system32\restore\Filelist.xml. For more information, see Monitoring of file Extensions.
- System Restore monitors changes to the system and saves the State of the system as a restore point. If a system problem occurs following a change of system, the user can return the system to a previous state by using a restore point data.
