  • I have 2 windows media Player installed, one is called runtime. Can I remove a copy?

My programs list shows that I have 2 copies of "Windows Media Player 11"installed.  I would like to remove one.  Add and remove programs, it lists 2 facilities, but one of the copies is listed with the runtime of words.  I don't know what installation to remove.  Can anyone help with advice?

    Hello

Windows Media Player (WMP) 11 is a multimedia player that allows you to listen to music and videos as well as sync MP3 players to download music quickly. Windows Media Format 11 Runtime is an embedded codec for Windows Media Player 11, allowing you to encode and decode Windows Media Audio (WMA) and Windows Media Video (WMV) files.

You can Uninstall Windows Media Format 11 Runtime from Add / Remove programs.

  • PLAYSTATION 3 and WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER

I want to install windows media player on my playstation 3 to be able to watch documentaries online since I don't have the cable to connect my pc to my tv.

If this is not possible, I was wondering if there is a way to connect the wireless computer to display with threw the playstation3 on the TV console. Thanks for the help

    Hello Kokokos,

You will need enable the media to share on WMP for sharing with the PS3.  Here are the steps to do so below.   Another option is to install VLC on PS3 and these steps are shown in the link I provided here.
    http://boardsus.PlayStation.com/PlayStation/board/message?board.ID=ps3media&thread.ID=30857

All you need to do is turn on your ps3.

have the windows media player 11 is installed.

In windows media player, go to tools > options > library

Click on the share button configuration.

You should see peripheral unknown or Ps3 listed there.

    Click on allow.

You can play with the settings.

    It's her!

Back to your ps3 and search for servers!

    I hope this helps you.

  • Windows Media Player does not include the CD Label/Insert manufacturer as it did before as I have re-installed Windows.

original title: WHERE CAN I FIND WINDOWS XP MEDIA CENTER EDITION 2005 CD LABEL MAKER DONWLOAD?

I HAVE A WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER INSTALLED ON MY COMPUTER, BUT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE CD LABEL/INSERT MAKER THAT HAD MY ORIGINAL COMPUTER UNTIL I REPLACED MY HARD DRIVE. THE NEW WINDOWS THAT HAS BEEN INSTALLED IN MY NEW HARD DRIVE DID NOT INCLUDE THE LABEL MAKER FEATURE.

    Hi TerryodO'Donnell.

The manufacturer of your computer would have installed extra software on your computer to create CD labels.

So, you can use LightScribe system software to create CD labels.

    For more information, see:

Forget the Sharpie: create your own disc labels

  • codecs for windows media player

I have the windows media player 11 on windows XP. I was able to "burn" the many CDs in the past. Now I can listen to mp3 music, that I have loaded on it, but can "burn" a copy on a CD, same with music, I 'burned' before. X red lights next to each song and said that there is error COOD - 11 7 or COOD-BC2. I found and would be dl and installed: MicrosoftFixit.wu. ; K Lite_Codec_Pack_790_Basic; XP_Codec - Pack_2.5.1; Media.Player.codec.Pack.v4.1.1. I have restart fterwards, none of them doesn't seem to help. Is there a newer package of codec I need? What I am doing wrong?

    of jmorris 108:

    OMG! I fixed it! :)
I found and dl had installed this package of codec, from a free site, then the computer restarted:
    Media.Player.codec.Pack.v4.1.1.Setup.
As a big test, I even used a CD - R that I erased first. It worked fine! I'm listening to the Cd that I made while typing this.

The "K-Lite 79', rec had in an article posted above has done nothing but take me to his website with a lot of confusing instructions and rec including many dl to use?

    Thanks again for your help.

p.s. I would still like to know things, I asked above: I'm sure it will come soon, and I would like to know how to do these things.

Where this command prompt window? I checked in the Control Panel, user accounts, I am registered as an administrator already. I never use the guest account.

? the Start button in the lower left corner of the screen? mine has not 'start' or a window to type in? Start on another program? where do you mean? I see nothing like WMP either? I checked in the Control Panel, I am registered as Administor already

  • How do I synchronize the underwater Nabaiji MP3 with Windows Media Player player

    Hello

I have a whole collection of music on Windows Media Player.

I just bought an underwater Nabaiji MP3 player which is a 2 GB, so I can swim to the music as it becomes boring just to get on and off the track.

It says on the instructions which are very vague and little "Store musicnin the menu root products"and"this player supports MP3 and WMA music files and this player is PC and MAC compatible and connects via a USB cable supplied with the unit.

Then I plugged the USB and came Nabaiji MP3 icon.

Because of the music I have on Windows Media Player, being much more 2 GB, I followed the depth in Windows Media Player instructions to synchronize the music chosen on the unit as follows:

    1. I made a playlist and title it.

    2. I sync to the device list.

    3. it will still play music on the device.

As quite a novice in this area please can someone help me because I lost 11 hours so far and get to the stage where the PC almost took a hammer to it.  Very frustarting and might make you cry.

    All of the suggestions.

    Help, please!

    Concerning

    Jason

  • How to rebuild the Windows Media Player library

Cleaning of my media player library? __

If the instructions on the Windows 7 website do not work then what other options are available to remove it completely and start over with a new library in Media player 12 version?

    Hi corrlines,

    1. What is the exact problem you have with Windows media player?

You can't start over with the new library in Windows media player, but you can delete the database of Windows Media Player. To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) output Windows Media Player.

    (b) click Start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

(c), select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note: you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    (d) restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If the above does not solve your problem then clear cache of database of Windows Media Player files. To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) output Windows Media Player.

    (b) click Start, click Run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.

    (c) select the folder Media Player and then click on Delete on the file menu.

    (d) restart Windows Media Player.
