I have a big problem with Windows Live essentials 2011. 0x8007064c error code

I have a big problem with Windows Live essentials 2011.  I can't find in Add and remove programs or in C:\program files to remove it if I can reinstall it.  I went through the registry and deleted all instances of it.  When I try to reinstall, I get the error 0x8007064c code.  I've done everything I can find to do, but to no avail.  Help, please...

  • Windows Live Essentials 2011 Setup error 0 x 80040705

When I try to install Windows Live Essentials 2011, I am getting error 0 x 80040705.

The source says that the problem is with the file D3DX10_42.  I am running Windows 7 64 bit.  I tried:

    • remove all older versions of Windows Live, and then reinstall Essentials 2011
    • Download a new copy of the file and replacing it in System32 and SysWOW64
    • installation of DirectX June 2010 update
    • complete installation of the version of Live Essentials 2011 instead of the web version

.. .but I get the same error whenever I try to install.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hi all

The best and 100% working solution for all problems of installation and configuration, is related to the Windows Installer database. Because it stores information about the temporary location of the packages install but it is never update itself on the second tent installation or somehow got in conflict on this subject causes such errors as:

-The path to the installation package does not.
-Windows cannot find the specific file.
    -Installation failed (unknown error)

    The Solution:

Download this utility: Windows Installer Clean Up it's a free version, install it then run it, look at the list of programs and select the program that you are trying to install (in our case, select here all that starts with: Windows Live and also select Microsoft Silverlight and you can select multi using the CTRL key), then press Clean. It will take about 5 ~ 10 minutes to erase all the information stored in the database of Windows Installer, once finished you can close the tool, run the Setup program again and throw me a big "thank you!" :-)

  • Windows Live Essentials 2011 update error 0 x 80070643

Whenever I try to install the program Windows Live Essentials 2011 (I have Vista), I keep getting an error that says:
"It looks like a another program prevents the installer from working." Error: 0 x 80070643, Source: crt90-i386. "He gets about 50% each time and then said THAT WHAT could not be installed.

What kind of program could possibly be the cause of the installation fails every time? I tried to find a simple solution for days and nobody seems to have a very clear answer!  I already rebooted my computer and run the Setup again and I meet all the requirements that Microsoft recommends and it still does not work. What prevents the program to complete the installation?

    Hi PlantNerd19,

There could be several causes for this problem; I suggest you try the following steps to refine the question:

    Method 1:
put the computer to boot and then check if the installation of the program takes place without any problem

Follow step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link

Method 2: You can see the steps mentioned in the article below, which deals with a similar question

You receive error code 80070643 0 x or 0 x 643, code error when you use the Windows Update or Microsoft Update Web sites to install updates

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/958052

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Problems with Windows Live Mail 2011

It should be clear to everyone by now that Windows Live Essencials 2011 is full of bugs and doesn't work as well as the previous version. My problem has to do with the Live ID Signin Assistant. Conflicts of this program to be able to view the network shares on the WDTV Live.

I used Windows Live Mail for years and have been happy with the program. With this version, it was possible to uninstall the Live ID Signon companion in Add and remove some programs dialog. Apparently there is no way to uninstall this program with the 2011 version.

Access my network shares is more important to me than to use all Windows Live programs, so unless there is a way to resolve the conflict with the Assistant of Signon, (such as uninstalling this specific program), I'll be forced to remove all Windows Live my computer programs and start using a different e-mail program. It would be unfortunate, because the habit altogether by using Windows Live Mail.

I'd appreciate any help or advice on this issue.

  • Problem with Windows Live Mail 2011 to scan

When I use either my printer to scan a document, cartoon, etc. to send e-mail (Windows Live Mail 2011), the scan works fine, but when I try to attach the message to send to a recipient, the scanned image was cropped (up to the size of a photo?) and space of the image is now asking for 'enter the name of the album', 'slide show', etc. - which suggests that it is an activity of picture which is not.  All I want to do is scan a document for emailing, a process that worked flawlessly w. Windows Live Mail 2010.  How can I overcome this problem?

  • Windows Live Essentials 2011 install error 0 x 80070643?

I tried to install Live Essentials 2011 several times without success. She always says a program is now settling, crt90-i386 error 0 x 80070643. I downloaded the full installer and also tried with no luck. I tried using the Task Manager to disable crt90-i386 nothing helps. I've been without the live programs including messenger for three weeks now. I am running Windows 7 64 bit with all updates installed. Any help on this would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any response.

[1] I then reached step 4 d of the party, and the link to the file it no longer works

[2] I use System Mechanic Professional 10 for cleaning registry [but I just uninstalled]

A1. Thank you. I didn't know that they had pulled the download. (Wonder if they'll ever get KB940065?)

A2. I figured as well (where my question). I guarantee you that using System Mechanic, etc., has caused your problem!

Had not uninstalled System Mechanic & assuming you would do backups of any changes that you made with this dubious utility, chances are it would have been well after had restored these backups (i.e., undo changes made).

But if you have uninstalled System Mechanic, these safeguards have probably disappeared. IMHO, the only way you're ever going to get installed WLE 2011 now would be to do a clean install of Win7. If you want to help with that, please let me know.

  • BIG problems with Windows Live Mail

I am running Windows Live Mail on Windows 7 Professional to access my AOL email accounts, which are on a basis of IMAP.  I use a laptop brand new have a 1 TB HDD and 8 GB of RAM, so the size and speed are not a problem.  The first annoying problem I have is that whenever I close by Mail, I get a message saying that it is the purge of records.  Five seconds later, I get an error message from the server is offline, so the work has not ended.  Then, I need to close the windows.

Secondly, when I reply to messages, sometimes it takes 5 to 10 seconds or more for the wheel stops.  If there is an attachment to the original email, the message that I send doesn't go away, even after they are sent, which makes me wonder if it was sent.  There are also an excessively long time to delete messages.

I've used several other e-mail programs in recent years, including Outlook Express and have never encountered problems in using the same accounts AOL and format.  Are there changes I need to do, or are these problems known glitches between Windows Live Mail and an AOL IMAP account?

    1. the presentation of Softpedia pick the ' shortcut is at least 6 or 7 versions there is (and has been removed from the program there are at least 5 versions)-ignore

-If you do not see the menu, press the Alt key - it is used to toggle.  The menu can be disabled permanently by clicking the square to the left of the "question mark" at the top right. Scroll down and select the Menu display.
    3. do you intend to post in the Windows Live Mail Desktop using WLM newsgroup... If so, we can say your version by message properties. If you continue to post via the web interface, we cannot... so the earlier suggestions to use the discussion group showing the ability of WLM.  Knowing the version of WLM can make a difference in the problem and the answer.
    4. the configuration for the "purge" messages associated with an IMAP account can be found in WLM on its "Maintenance" tab
    Tools/Options/Advanced/maintenance
What are your settings for the two elements of "Purge" (Deleted messages) and Newsgroup?  Consider uncheck both
5 other things you should consider doing (temporarily) in WLM to rule out any automatic handshake between the AOL IMAP server and WLM
-Uncheck the send and receive Messages at startup; Uncheck the check Messages every x minutes (Tools/Options/general tab)
-Uncheck all options on the tab connection (Tools/Options/connections) and click on stop signing if the button/option is present.
-Uncheck "use deleted items folder for IMAP (Tools/Options/Advanced) accounts - this option has been know to interfere with the"Purge"for AOL accounts"
-Set the counter to 1 (Tools/Options/Advanced/Maintenance tab) - compact the database during shutdown.  Make sure that you are in e-mail mode, then take it out by file/Work Offline / file / exit.  WLM should encourage compact... agree and don't interrupt. Once that is done, open WLM, file/work online and repeat the test.
6 turn off email scanning in you client Antivirus and other applications (additional, firewall security software etc it email scanning is done)
    7. If you are connected via cable or a DSL connection set up Internet Explorer (or other browser never establish a connection.
-If you do not use IE, please specify which browser.

Report any success of failure after doing the above (you can try them both, or test each incrementally.

It would be much appreciated if you could communicate the results in a new message using WLM as your news reader in Windows Live Mail Desktop forum
