I have a canon eos rebel sl1/100 d. I can't take a picture.

I can't take a picture. The battery works, the memory card has been reformatted. I had the unit about 6 months. I took a lot of pictures on vacation this summer. I uploaded these photos. I started taking pictures, and I can't get a picture.

If the unit is in 'One Shot' factory default mode, so should not be a picture unless it can confirm that it was able to lock the focus on a subject.  No accent... no picture.

If, however, you reverse this little switch on the side of your lens that says "AF/MF" on the "MF" position (it is 'Manual' and AF is "Update automatically") THEN you get an exception... "MF" position, the device is ready to take a picture no matter if she thinks that the image is sharp or not... He doesn't care.  Touch that little switch to "MF" you said on camera that YOU will take care of the update and it is not not to consider the development at all.

If the camera will take a picture (even if it is blurry) when the lens is in a position to "MF", this means the reason why he was not taking a picture before is because of his inability to focus.

There may be a few reasons why a camera could not focus.

(1) not enough light: to test this situation... just go to a place where there are a lot of light.  ... Outside in the middle of the day.

(2) a problem with one of the systems of development.  It turns out that your camera has in fact two systems different focus (completely independent).  One is used when you are looking through the viewfinder to compose the picture.  The other is used if you use the live view screen to compose view.  The reason why there are two different systems is because your camera has a mirror inside.  When you look through the viewfinder, you are actually looking through the lens.  To do this, they need to put a mirror between the lens and the sensor, so you can browse through the same lens that camera is to use.  But which reflect the light to reach the sensor blocks.  So they actually have a system of development that does not use the sensor and can focus when the mirror is in the way that (the mirror of the part of the light bounces actually in focus sensors).  When the mirror went away (for the live-view shooting) it obviously can flip any light in this special focus sensor.  To remedy this, it uses image sensor of the camera work on the update.

The two systems are independent, and the only thing in common is that they both send instructions to the lens to move the focus in or out.    If a system of development does not work... try another (update looking in the viewfinder... and test development using the "live view" mode (only not looking in the viewfinder.))

(3) but that leads us to the third possible problem: the lens.  The engines of development (for any Canon camera) are in the objective... not in the camera.  The camera simply gives instructions to the lens it say how adjust the setting to the point and to what extent.  Is there a problem with the lens, then it can not focus... even if there is absolutely nothing wrong with the camera itself.

If you have a different purpose, you can swap lenses and see if the camera still has a focus problem.  If it has only a focus with a particular lens problem... it's the objective that needs service and not the camera.

  • The lens Canon Macro 60 mm f2.8 fits my Canon EOS Rebel SL1?

The lens Canon Macro 60 mm f2.8 work on my Canon EOS Rebel SL1?

    Yes.  It's a lens EF - S (EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens)

The SL1 Rebel can use almost any lens Canon EOS... regardless of EF-S vs EF.  He can even use the TS-E and MP-E lenses.

Lenses which does not take your camera are the "EF - M" lenses (there are two of them at last I checked).  Those who are made to the 'mirrorless' body of Canon, which is not sold in North America.

  • I have a Canon EOS Rebel DS6041 camera. I don't have a disc of installation for uploading photos?

Where can I get a driver to download images from the camera to the PC?

You can also buy an external computer card reader and put the memory card in the device in the drive to copy the images.

I have it with my cameras, especially because the card reader connected locally can transfer images faster than the USB connection.

  • Canon EOS Rebel T3 camera

I have a Canon EOS Rebel T3 camera. I have lost my inner cover to the lens. is there any place I can buy one. I refer to the screw on the one covering the lens inside after the withdrawal of the largest lens. It's hard to explain in typing so I hope you understand that I do not speak of. I inserted a photo of what part I mean. If you see where hand TI score, well there is a CAP that screws on to protect the lens inside. I need this screw on the lid.

  • Former 1990 EF lenses are compatible with the new EOS Rebel SL1 body

Recently, I discovered my film camera EOS 650 purchased circa 1990 with 3 EF lenses (50 mm, 35-105 mm, 100-300 mm), in perfect condition. These old lenses would be incompatible with a new EOS Rebel SL1 body?

The STM IS to Canon EF-S 10-18 is your clear choice.

  • Canon EOS Rebel II value?

I'm having a lot of trouble finding my camera on the internet anywhere. I want to sell online but don't have an idea of what a fair price. With it, I have a unopned new duracel battery, a can of unopned 35mm film of York. There is no lens, but the camera itself is in excellent conditon. I can't find a model number, just a reference number? stamped on the bottom.

    Here's what I know:

It says Canon EOS Rebel on the front and the front corner, there's the Roman numeral II (two).

On the bottom it says Canon Inc.   Made in Taiwan 5216757 that's all.

I'm totally confused, please help so that I can sell this product at a fair price to someone who will get use out of it! Thank you!

P.S. I can post pictures using html if this will help

    Hello, CraigslistCam!

Take a look at this link

In the list on the bottom, it shows the Rebel II as one of the 'alias' of this same organization (EOS REBEL II [A] / EOS 1000 N [E]: without QD and function of flash).

    We hope this helps!

  • How can I add the Raw for the Canon EOS Rebel T6s file 5 Lightroom

You want to know if there is a way to add the RAW file for the new Canon EOS Rebel T6s format to my desktop Mac version 5 of Lightroom.  All I found was the plugin cameraRaw 9 for Lightroom 6 that takes in charge of my camera. This does not work after that I have download and run the installation

    Thank you

You will need to convert RAW to DNG for use in LR 5. Or you can go to LR 6. CameraRaw plugin is not relevant to LR. This is for Photoshop.

  • The EFM 22 mm f/2 lens STM will work with my Canon eos Rebel t5?

I'm looking at the lens Canon EFM 22 mm f/2 STM and I wonder if it will work for my Canon eos Rebel t5. I need to know as soon as possible. I searched other places online and cannot find something that answers my question. If anyone knows and could tell me I would really appreciate it.
    Thank you!

EF lenses - M fit not rebel or any Canon DSLRS. They are for the M series cameras.

  • can I know the reason for the change of color in the image - canon EOS rebel T5

Hi, I am using canon EOS rebel T5... Recently whenver I clicked on an image using this device, I get color variation in the image that I've highlighted in the image below... It's because of the lens or the camera settings... Pls help me to get a clear picture

What are compression of camera settings, for example, I use fat with Fine quality

This 478KO scares me, it's really small for a 4000 x 2000 image. You use too much jpeg compression which is ruining the image. You need to set a level of quality JPEG 9 or 10 - it will result in larger images, but as you can see, throw the data has detracted from your images.

If you want to send pictures, decide first the smaller number of pixels you can hang out with and then use just enough of JPEG compression to get the size you want.

  • Used Canon EOS 40 d 10.1 MP Digital SLR Camera body or new Canon EOS Rebel T3

Who is a better camera? Used camera Canon EOS 40 d DSLR Body 10.1MP or new Canon EOS Rebel T3 12.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR digital (box)

    You are a pixel-peeper?

If this isn't the case, I doubt that you can see the difference. I guess that's what you're talking about since you did mention the MP of each. The MP of a camera is not the single assessment point as the 40 d is a fine camera better than a rebel.

The 40 d leans more towards the pro series cameras and the Rebel T3 is more towards the amateur line. IMHO, as always.

  • Have a Canon EOS 20 d. My EOS Digital Solution Disk won't work. How can I download it?

Have a Canon EOS 20 d. My EOS Digital solution disk will not work.  How do I download this software somewhere? It is not available on the list of Canon software. Can I use this software for Canon EOS 40 d?  Help.

Yes, the DPP 3.14.x coming on the 40 d Solutions disk download should work with your 20 d.

So I would say download the new drive solutions from the 40 d page. It won't ask you your serial number

number. The series 20 d should work. But if not you can use your 40 d serial number, so you should

    be defined. :-)

    See you soon,.

    Hi Nesta,

This camera requires Camera raw 8.7, versions of Photoshop CS top ^ (latest) should be able to process raw images from this camera.

Recommend you go with the last a Photo collage software | Download the free trial version Photoshop CC
