First, start from the Advanced startup options , and then select the 'last known good configuration."  If this does not work, try to start safe mode and then try a system restore.
If your system did not come with a restore disc it must have a recovery hard disk partition.  You will need to check with Acer to see how to get there if you want to perform a factory restore. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

I have an Equium L350 after an accident I couldn't restart my pc. I tried to solve by using the recovery f8 menu and it did not work so I contacted Toshiba and got a restore disc. I reinstalled from the disc, after the instalation it said complete installation but visa does not start.

After a format and reinstall my computer broken? He is 13 months here for out of warranty

    Hello

Normally after the installation of recovery your laptop should work fine again.

In my opinion, it could be a malfunction of the equipment. Did you test the HARD drive for bad sectors? You can do this with Drive Fitness Test: http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm#DFT
Download the ISO image and burn it to a disk. Then you can boot from it and test your HARD drive for errors.

I also recommend to check the RAM for errors: http://memtest86.com/
Memtest is a good diagnostic tool for the RAM.

    I hope I could help a bit. :)

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
