I have a graphics card internal "Intel (r) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family" which is supported by all other browsers expect Firefox. I'm under Windows8

I have trouble understanding why h/w acceleration is not supported for my graphics card. I have an internal card "Intel (r) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family '. Firefox said "Blocked for your version of the graphics driver" under troubleshooting information. I use Firefox beta 18 under Win8x64. So, here's the problem. When I ran Windows7x64, h/w acceleration was available under chrome & limiting too. I complained ever really because I realized that my card was about 5 years old. When I moved to Windows8 I was planning on getting a new graphics card, to my great surprise, Intel had released new drivers for this version of windows, but suddenly I was getting full throttle under IE, Chrome & Adobe flash plays also support accelerated videos. It would be useful that someone could tell me why Firefox only seems to have a problem.

    Hello Tubzoo,

Thank you for posting.  The answer is no.  The Intel g33/g31 express chipset is a motherboard chipset that works with the processor (CPU).  The Nvidia 6600 gt, ATI X 1600 are two graphics processors (graphics cards).  For more information, you can search for the motherboard chipsets.

  • When Mobile Intel (r) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1) will be updated to Windows 8?

I find it frustrating when my computer dell laptop has been updated to Windows 8 I could play is more Minecraft. This is because the Mobile Intel (r) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1) has not been updated to Windows 8 and does not support Opengl. I've seen a LOT of others have had this same problem and would be very happy if she has been updated.

    Thank you. Iggy.

Ask Intel if and when they intend to update their drivers.  Drivers from the hardware manufacturer, not come from Microsoft.

When it was the window update download it changed my computer acceleration material (error) disable or not suppored by your video card) also the icons are larger every time I turn on my cumputer I fix this. The games are acting funny.

    Hello yar220,

Some of the optional updates for the material could cause the problem. I suggest that you uninstall the update by doing a restore of the system on your computer and hide the update.

    a. Click Start, type system restore in the search box and then in the list click on the system restore program.

    b. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.

    d. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

    e. click Finish.

You can check the link for more information below:

Laptop are not like the desktop PC. You can just open the case and replace the vdeo card. If your laptop doesn't have a switchable graphics so no update that should meet your needs of games is possible except the following

One solution is to buy an expensive external graphics adapter .

The alternative is to play the game on a PC with an installed gamig card.

  • Mobile intel 4 series express chipset family Driver update

    Hello.

I struggled to update my graphics driver. I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv4t 1600 CTO. My operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. My device driver is a Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family, and the driver version is 8.15.10.1883 08/27/2009. I tried to install the latest in Intel which is 15.17.19.64.2869. However, when you try to update the drivers, I get an error message:

"The driver being installed is not vaildated for this computer. You can get the correct driver from the manufacturer, cmputer. Implementation will leave. »

Which leads me to the HP site were I try to find an appropriate update. However, when you use the update of HP or the manual search, I end up with the same type of driver for the chipset graphics and sound. My problem is: I don't know that one must be updated.

I play world of Warcraft, and I get the message "your device driver is out of date. This could mean one of them, if using the Intel drivers update utility, none of my pilots appeared. And everytime I try to update via HP, it seems that nothing has changed. I'll try to provide as much detail as possible and we hope to hear back soon on my problem. Attached are some screenshots of the dxdiag window.

  • Support of OpenGL for Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family

I have one of my games and Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic) needs me to set specific options for OpenGL. On "http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=148276", he asks me to 'Select Blit as turning political'. This solution, however, is there not in only compatible versions of the drivers (and the Panel that accompanies it) for Win7. It was possible on XP, but not on Win7. When I try to install the drivers in compatibility mode, it fails (I felt Jules, but I had to try at least).

I searched for a long time on many different forums for the games, lucasarts, intel, microsoft, and I have not found a solution that worked. If anyone knows anything that I might have overlooked, could you help me?

As I understand it, Microsoft or Intel did not provide any drivers for this chipset that allows you to change this particular option of OpenGL.

    Hi Jonathan,.

When you try to change the OpenGL option, you must contact the support of Inter.

I suggest you to contact Intel Support to get help.
