The printer still works with my Ipad.I has a new Antivirus system installed recently. Could be the problem?

After a weekend with no storm (my whole system has been turned off), I can't get my printer to work on the computer.

Make check deposits with scanner. Just yesterday so I decided to uninstall and reinstall the printer. Functions wireless works now but the Desktop "HP scan" icon is gone and I don't know how to put it back on there.
Please go to C:\Program Files\hp\photosmart 5520\bin and you'll find scan.exe. Right-click on it, then select send to desktop. You can find the shortcut on your desktop.

I have successfully install a new black ink cartridge 564 in the photosmart printer 5520. It will print no black ink. However when I print a report of diagnostic quality printing black ink will print the words and rectangle boxes. On the report there are 4 boxes, one for each color boxes, cyan, magenta and yellow are filled in with each respective color, howerer the black box is empty or the color of the white paper. My estimated black ink gauge says it is almost full. Can some help me?

It's all very mysterious, but it seems to have corrected itself. Finally, the 'out of paper' error message appeared yesterday (there were many), I pushed in the paper and things started to print again. I was also able to rescan. Back Again! Today the printer also failed for an unknown reason!
I uninstalled the HP Photosmart 5520 and loaded the original CD supplied with the printer. It seemed that it would not work, but then I followed the instructions to activate the printer online. I did have to unplug the USB cable. Just turn off the printer and restarted. Bingo - printer and scanner now works perfectly with Windows 10. No need for new drivers. TOO easy!

You must install the full features software for your printer: Printer Wizard (the new name for the Solution Center) is installed as part of the installation of the printer software.
General instructions to install the printer software
- Open drivers HP & downloads
- Enter your printer model information
- Select your printer in the list of the 'results '.
- Open e-all-in-one printer, HP Photosmart 5520 drivers
- Enter your operating system from the menu drop-down
- Click NEXT and scroll down
